The Little Red Schoolhouse offers a unique setting for your event. From its distinctive 1873 architecture to the charm of its interior, it provides a memorable backdrop for a rehearsal dinner, wedding or reception. Bring your own refreshments or select a caterer of your choice. Also, an assortment of tables and chairs are available with your rental. The interior of the venue works well for a seated dinner of up to 76 people or a standing buffet of up to 125 people. The lawn is available for tents, tables and chairs and can hold up to 200 people.

The Little Red Schoolhouse was an idyllic venue for our unique wedding in June, 2024. The wooded property and one-room schoolhouse provided the perfect blank slate for our creative wedding. We were able to make the most of both the outdoor and indoor space as we held the ceremony outside preceded by games and cocktails. We dined outside under tents and danced inside until 2:00. This venue is the perfect blank slate as you are able to select your own vendors. We did have to hire a wedding coordinator, but we loved the autonomy we had. The facility has a sound system and projector so there are many possibilities for inside. The large trees outside shaded the outdoor area, which is very secluded so that noise is not a problem for neighbors. Parking is plentiful. We even had a food truck for dessert; it was conveniently located with enough spaces for guests. Lawre, the admin for the Indian Hill Historical Society was very helpful and clear concerning rights and responsibilities. She made it easy to access the facility. We recommend this venue highly!

Lawre is amazing and this venue is gorgeous!! We had a small wedding so we wanted a smaller space so it would feel more intimate, and this schoolhouse is absolutely gorgeous inside. The lawn is perfect for an outdoor ceremony, and there are so many ways to customize the inside. The kitchen was a great space for the caterer, and the basement has a good setup for getting ready. It made my dream wedding come true!

The Little Red Schoolhouse is an amazingly beautiful place and was the PERFECT venue for my June 2018 dream wedding. My husband and I knew we wanted something low-key and affordable (but still in the Cincinnati area) and were having a hard time finding venues that would allow us to bring in our own drinks and pick our own caterer. Lawre, the Indian Hill Historical Society's Administrator is patient and thorough, understanding and helpful. She let us visit the Little Red Schoolhouse twice and always answered my emails within 24 hours. I will recommend this gorgeous venue to any and everyone who asks me about my wedding now! Thank you SO much Lawre and the Indian Hill Historical Society for preserving this gorgeous landmark, and allowing so many happy couples celebrate their weddings here! It is truly a gem in the Cincinnati area, and I'm surprised more people don't get married here.

Lawre is amazing! She worked with us and helped reassure us when a payment got lost in the mail. Our families loved the space and it fit perfectly with our book theme!

My daughter and her husband selected The Little Red Schoolhouse for their fall wedding. It was the perfect setting for them. The ceremony was held outside followed by a cocktail hour held in a tent outsde then we went inside for dinner, dancing and celebration. The setting provided a gorgeous backdrop for fantastic fall wedding photographs.

A perfect venue for a small intimate wedding. An actual one room schoolhouse that has been restored and is absolutely charming. Plenty of room to set up a tent in the beautiful yard. We had our ceremony outside on the steps of the school house and our reception inside. There was even a school bell to be rung after we were married.
