The Local - Minneapolis offers a variety of timeless, classic spaces that you and your partner can utilize in the lead-up to your wedding. Our spaces' designs are authentically Irish, from the intentional design to the beautiful craftsmanship; these bars were conceived, built, and shipped straight from Ireland, along with the Irish carpenters who installed them.
From the snugs to community rooms to a soaring bar with ephemera spread throughout, these spaces speak to the warmth of history, place, and belonging. It holds so many stories, secrets, and good memories.
The Hollow, an old-world tavern-style room, can host up to 75 people. The Choir can fit up to 50 of your loved ones and is a cozy lounge space that overlooks the main pub from the second floor. The Sanctuary can host up to 30 for an intimate gathering and is furnished with warm wooden and plush pieces. The Boardroom is an elegant space to fit 12, and Wilde's Corner is in the corner of the main pub section and can accommodate up to 35 people. You can choose these private and semi-private spaces individually or opt to buy out the whole pub! (And each of our private rooms comes equipped with technology to show videos and/or slide shows on our TVs or use our PA system for music).
When you and your partner choose The Local - Minneapolis as your rehearsal space, you will be wowed at the level of care from the staff onsite. The Local's event manager is here to work with couples and go through all the details of planning your celebration and customizing it for you, including options at our sister pubs, Kieran's Irish Pub, also in downtown Minneapolis, and The Local - West End is in St. Louis Park, MN. Their culinary team can serve up a delicious menu of classic pub food, which will pair perfectly with drinks from the bar.
