Melissa is THE BEST! I tortured her during my trials because I am so indecisive when it comes to my hair. She patiently tried so many different styles for me. She is also the ultim...
ate hype woman making you feel completely beautiful in your own skin. I couldn’t imagine my wedding day without Melissa there to give all of my girls pretty hair, to keep us laughing, and to keep us calm. I was so worried about my hair because it rained; my hair frizzes up, but Melissa made sure that my hair did not frizz one bit. It stayed perfectly the entire day! Melissa is a QUEEN of her craft!
Always the bridesmaid never thought I’d be the bride, yet here I was planning my own! I’ve been going to the Locks Loft for many years and seeing Melissa for a very long time. It a...
ll started when one of my friends got married over 10yrs ago, where people were constantly asking “who did my hair?” Since then I really only went to Melissa and always recommend her and her salon. Many of my friends used her and after 20 something weddings it was time for me to finally get the extra bridal loving from this incredibly fierce woman Melissa with her equally fierce co-owner Sabrina. It’s taken me a long time to get to this, but I’d like to personally thank the Locks Loft specifically Melissa, Sabrina and the rest of team for making me and my ladies look beautiful for our summer wedding! Let me first off say that my wedding was unconventional to say the least and had so much going on. We had a 2 day wedding. With that said 2 days / 2 VERY different looks and they were AMAZING through it all.
Melissa was absolutely incredible from the time of booking until the day of the wedding. She and the team worked together and collaborated to give me the exact wedding look I wanted. *Side note: There’s something amazing and inspiring to see a group of women working so well together and doing it right! #womenbossesrule** Melissa really was so incredibly patient throughout the entire time curbing all of my (many) anxieties and putting me at ease throughout the process. They treat you the way you’d treat your own family. My 2 day wedding affair was one I’ll always remember and so many thanks to Melissa and team for making me looking stunning. I also had Melissa do my hair for my bridal shower - again constantly being asked “who did your hair?!” Every time I get asked that question I’m so unbelievably proud to say my friends at the Locks Loft! They’re simply the best on Staten Island. I have always recommended them to all my family and friends for all weddings, occasions, and every day looks! I will continue to always recommend them for all formal and informal hair needs. THANK YOU!! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!!!

s who listen to their clients needs and go out of their way to deliver high end services. I have been a client of Melissa's for many years and she has never disappointed. Especially on my WEDDING DAY!! Like every bride, I had a vision for the look that I wanted. Well, Melissa surpassed that envision. She created a unique look that was specific to me, my dress and my personality. I couldn't be happier with the professional service she provided to myself, my family and my bridesmaids. I ONLY recommend this salon for formal and informal events!
Absolutely amazing what Melissa can do with hair! A true artist! Made me, my mom and my bridal party all look amazing for my wedding!
I’ve been going to The Locks Loft for years specifically to Melissa and of course on my wedding day I trusted no one else to touch my hair and my bridesmaids hair. Everyone’s hair...
came out perfect , Melissa was at my house on time and had us out the door not a minute late. My hair was GORGOUS - no trial before because of my personal time constraints but Melissa is so talented she nailed what I wanted. Even made sure my veil was perfectly placed. Not a curl or hair out of place all night. Forever my salon and forever will be my recommendation to any bride.
Melissa and Sabrina did an amazing job. They got to my house before the crack of dawn on my wedding day, and did my hair, my bridesmaids' hair, my mother's hair, and my flower-girl...
's hair. As well as everyone's make up. Not only were we ready with enough time to take plenty of photos, but everyone's hair stayed perfectly through the day and night. Only 4-5 curls came lose from my up-do, which with the 30 mph wind we were dealing with was nothing short of a miracle. And I have to say everyone's make up was naturally beautiful, my mom always looked like a young mom but on this day she could have been mistaken for my sister. The ladies were great and they added some calm to the crazy world-wind morning. I would absolutely recommend Melissa and Sabrina for any special event. In fact my sister-in-law is getting married next year, and I will definitely be making my appointment with The Locks Loft.

She even stayed a little longer to fix my hair after I put my veil on and started to take pictures. I cannot thank Melissa and the Locks Loft for all the great work they did for myself and my bridal party (hair and make-up). Thanks for everything!
