Daisy, Quinn, Hanna, Samantha, and the entire team behind the scenes at The Lodge made our wedding perfection. Every request was met with a smile and a "Yes, we can do that!" Every detail was handled with professionalism. They managed our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, multiple last minute requests, room changes, and our amazing reception. The venue in GOTL is beyond words like "amazing", "accommodating", and "spectacular", but what made it so perfect was working with these outstanding ladies and gentlemen! My wife and I were made to feel special whether were at the restaurant, bar, or poolside. We didn't want to leave and we will return for visits in the future! Thank you!
This venue was perfect and truly felt like a destination wedding! Daisy and Sara were so great to work with- very responsive and organized. Our guests were blown away by the property and the amenities. If you’re looking for somewhere to have the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and lodging all at one location- this is it!!
The Lodge is incredible! I could not have imagined a more beautiful location and all of our guests were blown away.
The catering pricing is very fair for everything you are given and the staff at the Lodge was incredibly helpful with everything! Daisy and Sara Lampela were so helpful even with my endless emails, and I could not have asked for a better day!
One thing to note is that many of our guests were able to get lower rates than even the group rate through Expedia/Hotels.com, so that would be a good thing to try to improve in the future
First of all - the event coordinator, Daisy, is amazing. She is so sweet and great at her job. She helps with all the details of the day, the rehearsal, and the ceremony. You will be in good hands with her. The venue is gorgeous and feels like a vacation resort. If you are looking for a place where you want the ceremony, pictures, reception, and a place for guests to stay all in one… this is it!
This venue made our wedding a dream come true! First, the wedding coordinator - Daisy Hall - was fantastic to work with. She was enthusiastic, organized, prompt in her responses, accommodating (even to some of our really strange requests!), and excellent at coordinating guests, details, and wedding parties (even with last minute changes). Second, the food was excellent - they even accommodated our menu to be vegan given that my husband and I follow a plant-based diet. They made a vegan Bolognese, vegan garlic mashed potatoes, and even ordered vegan butter for our bread rolls. If they can adjust the menu to be vegan and still nail it, you can be confident in their food! Third, the venue is beautiful, the staff is friendly, the bridal suite is located conveniently close to the gazebo aisle, and The Lodge is located close to the strip - perfect for guests staying there during the weekend and for wedding after-parties! The point-of-contact for the wedding day made my wedding day stress-free as she met with all of the vendors to ensure that everything was set up properly in the room. And, the staff did a great job taking down decorations at the end of the night, so it was stress-free even after the event! We have already decided that we will be returning to The Lodge for wedding reunions in the future.
Had a phenomenal experience having our wedding ceremony and reception at The Lodge. Julie was fantastic to work with, she helped me every step of the way! She always got back to me so quickly, especially the week before the wedding when I was getting nervous about everything coming together! All of our guests had the best compliments about the venue, was such an amazing night! They had all the little touches that made it so special, like putting our names on the sign in the front and having wine and cake waiting in our room at the end of the night. My husband and I plan to go back to The Lodge next year to celebrate our anniversary:)
We loved having our wedding there. If was absolutely beautiful with the lake and the gazebo. Julie the wedding coordinator was also amazing. We loved our wedding there and wish we could go back to our wedding day. It was so much fun and so beautiful!
After paying about $20,000 to the lodge for my wedding they ran out of beer and whiskey an hour before my bar was scheduled to end. Not including the fact that one of the beers that was served, guests complained tasted skunked. When I asked there was any more beer at all I was directed to walk to the other bar in the opposite corner of the ballroom and check myself. I asked if they would restock with a different brand of beer and I was told no. I asked if anyone has gone to purchase more and was told no. My guests eneded up going to the hotel bar (just down the hall from the ballroom) to purchase their own drinks. And the kicker, no apologies, no refunds, just took my money and ignored it. It's a beautiful venue but don't waste your money. I'm very disappointed and embarrassed that my guests had to purchase their own drinks especially after how much money we spent to have our wedding there.
The Lodge at Geneva on the Lake was the most beautiful place to have a wedding! The Gazebo is in an ideal spot and there was nothing better than having the ceremony over looking Lake Erie.
The ballroom was absolutely stunning and set up to perfection. the staff was amazing to work with and we were able to get everything just perfect. Julie Hale was one of the best people I have worked with during the wedding planning process, she was very timely when it came to answering any questions I had and always made time to discuss anything I wanted. Shea was her replacement while she was on leave, and she was equally as helpful and pleasant to work with.
The food was excellent, just like it was at the food tasting. I could not recommend this place enough, all of my guests had an amazing time and said it was like a vacation for them.
I could not imagine a more perfect place to get married. The Lodge was the greatest decision we made in our wedding planning process! From the beginning, Julie was accommodating and helped us with every question we had so quickly! When Shay took over closer to our wedding day, she did a FABULOUS job making sure everything was ready to go for the big day. She communicated quickly and the staff did a great job making my vision come true! I had a very intricate decor and they followed my directions and set it up and better than I could imagine. All my guests could not stop saying how it was the most beautiful location for a wedding and I couldn't agree more. If you want a beautiful, turn key, wedding, The Lodge is the place to book!!!
We highly recommend the Lodge in Geneva as a wedding venue based on our own amazing personal experience there. The coordinator, Julie, went above and beyond helping us to create the perfect day and was there on the day of to make sure everything went smoothly. She was a big help and made the whole process so easy! The site, with its lakefront gazebo, is gorgeous and largely unrivaled in Northeast Ohio beauty. Our family and friends had a wonderful time, enjoyed the food, and thought the location was perfect. We can’t say enough about how great it was.
It was the perfect venue. The gazebo overlooking Lake Erie provided a stunningly beautiful ceremony. The staff generated a "turn key ready" reception, they worked effortlessly, this place ran like a well oiled machine. The food was delightful, my guest raved about the food. Many people told me my wedding was the most gorgeous wedding they had ever attended, and I know their compliments showed be directed to this fabulous facility/venue. Accommodating the ceremony, reception, and overnight guests (the next morning brunch) made this the perfect venue.
This has to be the best place for a wedding! Beautiful scenery, wonderful staff that are very eager to help and relieve stress during the weekend of your wedding! Everyone was very nice and polite!
Such a beautiful and perfect place for a wedding! My daughter always dreamed of getting married on the water, and when she saw the Lodge and the gazebo which overlooked the lake, it was exactly what she had been looking for. The wedding coordinator, Julie Hale, was absolutely wonderful. Both the bride and groom live out of the state, but Julie was always available via phone and email – and responded immediately to any questions they had. She arranged a menu tasting for when the bride and groom were in town, and helped them design the perfect menu (elegant and delicious!) for the reception. She also worked closely with them (and our fabulous wedding planner) on the reception design, the ceremony at the Gazebo (gorgeous!) and the newlywed breakfast the next morning. In addition, Julie arranged for a meeting room to be set aside for the day of the wedding, where the bride and her attendants were able to have their hair and make-up done, get dressed, have a catered lunch, and just generally have a place to go and relax. For the reception, we were able to use the ballroom as well as the attached private outdoor patio which featured a fire pit. The evening was so beautiful; our guests were able to use both – sitting outside as the sun set over the lake (and watching the bride and groom taking sunset pictures) was spectacular. Julie and her staff delivered the perfect wedding weekend of the bride’s dreams without a single hitch. We wish we could do it again!
My experience working with the Lodge was exceptional! I visited here a few years ago (before I was engaged) for dinner, and it immediately caught my eye as a potential wedding venue. It was so beautiful! 3 years later, we got married there, and it did not disappoint. It was still so beautiful! When we booked the venue, we worked with the wedding coordinator Natalie and loved her. A few months later she emailed and said she had gotten another position and was leaving, and naturally as a bride in the middle of planning a wedding, I was very nervous that this would negatively affect the wedding and planning process. The new wedding coordinator, Julie, was amazing! She picked right up where Natalie left off and was so great to work with! Also, having never lived in the Cleveland/Mentor/Geneva area, I did not know where to go to find other wedding vendors, but the Lodge had a list that they gave out to all of their brides when they booked with them of all of their preferred and recommended vendors. They had several options of vendors from each category, so I still was able to compare different vendors and make my own selections, but the list was really helpful as well! Everyone we used from their list was also excellent! The Lodge had clearly done several weddings in the past, and everything in terms of planning, as well as the whole wedding weekend was so easy, organized, and went so smoothly. I seriously could not have asked for a better experience. My wedding at the Lodge was perfect and everything I had ever dreamed it to be!
I don't think there is enough room for me to ever fully express my love for the Lodge at Geneva and their incredible staff. A huge thank you goes out to Julie Neuman, the wedding coordinator, that made this process so effortless. I heard countless horror stories about wedding planning over our 18 months of being engaged, but Julie always made sure that I was stress free, ironing out small details and snags along the way to ensure our day went perfectly.
The food was FANTASTIC- we went with a plated meal of either grilled ribeye or chicken saltimbocca - I've never heard of such rave reviews for what people often call 'boring wedding food'. The Chef truly cares about his craft, and it's so clear he loves what he does.
The Lodge was 100% worth every single penny.
Thank you again to Julie and the rest of the staff at the Lodge. You made our day incredible, and I'd pick you all over again to host our wedding.
The Lodge provides a wedding coordinator, Julie, who was amazing to work with. She is very professional and helped keep me sane when I was experiencing wedding stress. They are very accommodating and let us select a custom menu and worked with us to get the best price. The food was absolutely amazing and they have a new chef, who is very impressive. My family and I stayed the week at The Lodge as everyone was traveling a far distance to get there, and we had a few hiccups with the reservations being mishandled. In the end, everything got sorted and we had an amazing holiday and wedding. I highly recommend The Lodge for both ceremony and reception.
I had the wedding of my dreams at The Lodge and it is all because of the setting(Beautiful), the staff, and Natalie(the wedding coordinator)! The staff in all parts of the hotel/banquet/bar area was extremely helpful and professional!! Natalie held my hand through the whole process and made it very easy to plan everything. She does an absolute amazing job. It is not a cheap place to get married, but you get what you pay for! It is also really nice to have the wedding and reception all in one place so the guests do not have to drive anywhere. You don't even have to go anywhere for pictures, just walk down towards the bridge and you have a perfect backdrop of Lake Erie!!
I could not be happier and thanks to my amazing photographers I will be able to cherish that day for the rest of my life!!!
This was the most beautiful place to get married. The Gazaebo by the water was perfect. We did ours at 630 at night and the breeze was perfect for mid June. Natalie is the wedding coordinator there and she was prompt and great to work with. I didnt have to worry about a thing. They handled everything from start to finish. The food was delicious and we were always treated great. Perfect for an outside wedding with the reception at the same place!
The Lodge was incredible for our Friday evening wedding in May, 2012. The setting is great, Natalie (the coordinator) is wonderful and the rest of the staff was very accomodating. My only complaint was that no one let Natalie know when my flowers arrived via FedEx on Wednesday, so they sat out instead of being refrigerated until Thursday morning. Our honeymoon suite on our wedding night was decorated beautifully. The food was great (we had several meals there independent of the wedding night also) and our hosted brunch the following morning was awesome also. The setting is beautiful; we got some great sunset pictures on the beach too. All of the staff we encountered was very accomodating the whole weekend. My review is not a 5 star for only a few little items, but I would recommend this venue for anyone's wedding. It can be very formal or more laid back, depending on how you decorate, etc.
The Geneva Lodge and Conference Center is a beautiful place to have a wedding, reception, or both! We only had our reception there. There is a ballroom that can be rented in sections 1, 2, or all 3. You can also use the patio outside for your reception. They do all of the set up and take down you don't have to do a thing if you don't want to. We did do some of the setup ourselves because we wanted to and they were right there whiling to help us set up. We set up the gift table and head table decorations. We also set up some of the centerpieces. The Lodge staff was very whiling to have you drop off all of your decorations and they would have done it for you but it was nice to get a sneak peek before everything started that day. The staff are extremely helpful and very nice. We did not like any of the entrees at the Grand Tasting that they hosted, so they set up a private tasting with us and discussed our food options. We were very pleased with that and in the end we were very happy with the way that our entrees tasted. The fruit and veggie, cheese and cracker displays are beautiful and tasty. They also offer a chocolate fountain which was quite yummy! Alcohol is also provided through them so you do not need to find a vendor. Since the Lodge provides all of the alcohol and food if there are any leftovers you not permitted to take them. They also provide a room complimentary for the night of the wedding, which was very nice. In the end, it was a bit pricey but so many people have come to us and said it was the most beautiful wedding that they have ever been to and that was worth it to me.
