The Lodge at Leathem Smith is a wedding venue located in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. In 2011, owner Paul Meehan purchased the waterfront property to provide the Door County community a place to gather for special occasions. Situated on a peninsula, this venue provides a backdrop of Lake Michigan for your celebration regardless of the season. Facilities and Capacity The Lodge at Leathem Smith offers flexible spaces for both indoor and outdoor events. The main ballroom features a wide mahogany bar, a red-carpeted stage, and a dance floor. You and your guests can dine under unique lighting fixtures made out of ship wheels and cream-colored drapery that complement the nautical marina setting. Adjacent to this space is a catering area with high-vaulted, wood-beam ceilings for seamless dining service. Large glass doors at the back of the ballroom connect to the patio where guests can enjoy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails in the open air. For outdoor receptions, there are tented options available. Depending on your desired layout, a marquee can be set up on the venue’s lawn, adorned with warm lighting and nature-inspired decor. A dance floor and stage may also be installed so that you and your guests can dance the night away to live music while sipping beverages from the outdoor tiki bar.
