Our July wedding at the Lodge at Spruce Peak was absolutely amazing. We even heard from a few guests that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. A major reason for this was the stunning venue!! Photos of our ceremony on the ballroom terrace turned out absolutely gorgeous. From our welcome party the day before our wedding, to the after party after our wedding, we had a fantastic experience! The entire Spruce Peak Team was nothing but professional, and kind throughout our entire weekend. The food was fantastic, and we received many comments on how much our guests enjoyed the food too! Our day of coordinator Brigitte was extremely pleasant, organized, and very helpful. We were very thankful to have her there with us on the big day! We would definitely recommend The Lodge at Spruce Peak to host a wedding!

Our wedding at the Lodge at Spruce Peak was a dream. My husband and I got married there at the beginning of July in 2023. From day 1, the Lodge at Spruce Peak exceeded our expectations. Erin at the Lodge at Spruce Peak gave us the best venue tour we had experienced when we visited in August 2022. It was a 2 hour tour where she showed us every location at the resort for wedding events as well as every type of guest room. My husband and I were in a unique situation that required flexibility - long story short, we weren’t able to lock in a wedding date until about 4 months before the wedding. Erin really took the time to understand our unique situation and get to know us as a couple. We communicated with Erin a lot after the tour and we came up with a plan. She worked her magic and created a flexible wedding contract for us that would allow us to begin the wedding planning process and choose the exact date at a later time. No other venue was willing to work with us like that and we are so grateful for all of Erin’s help.
After we could finally lock in a wedding date, we started working more closely with Danielle who is the wedding co-ordinator at the resort. She was amazing throughout the entire process. Danielle is very professional and knowledgeable. She always had an answer to every one of our questions leading up to the big day. During the wedding weekend, our bridal party were so impressed with Danielle’s organization. She handled every small detail involving our wedding day while ensuring my husband and myself had the most relaxing, stress-free wedding. There were even some small crises that happened on the day of our wedding that I had no idea about until the next day because Danielle handled everything so professionally.
I would highly recommend the Lodge at Spruce Peak for any engaged couple looking for the perfect venue in the mountains. All of our guests could not stop raving about how much they loved their stay at the resort, and our wedding was more beautiful than we could have ever imagined.

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Cottage at the Lodge at Spruce Peak. The setting (both inside the cottage, and outside of their properties) is beautiful. The food was delicious. We also set up a room block there, and the rooms are a bit pricey, but beautiful rooms and all guests were thrilled with the accommodations. The pool area was amazing and we spent a lot of time at the pool and fire pit. There were some challenges with this venue though. during the 1.5 years we were engaged up to our wedding day, we had 3 different coordinators. Initially we worked with Ashley, and she was great. She actually gave us some discounts that allowed us to afford the venue. She left to move out of state, and then we had our second coordinator. During that transition we were told that there would be an additional $500 cost to take photos on the property during our wedding day, which Ashley had originally told us was just already included. After telling people there is was not acceptable, they agreed they would not charge us the additional $500. The week before our wedding this second coordinator had to leave (no fault of her own, family emergency) so our third and final coordinator was Shannon. She did a wonderful job and made our day go as smoothly as possible, given that she just jumped into the role of our coordinator at the last minute. Communication with the first two coordinators was difficult at times, I wouldn't get responses for weeks and had to reach out multiple times at times. Shannon always responded immediately. There was also an issue with the floral set up. Our florist had been told that they could start set up at 10:30, but when they arrived The Cottage told them they couldn't start set up until 2:00 (the wedding ceremony was scheduled to start at 3:30). Shannon was able to get them in for set up before 2:00, but it still was not enough time and it resulted in us not being able to get all the floral designs in the Cottage that we had planned and paid for (I did follow up with the florist and Shannon afterwards and are working with them to make adjustments to compensate for this). All in all, it was a beautiful location, the food was delicious, and if I had to do it all over again, I would choose the Lodge at Spruce Peak again.

Wonderful wedding planner in Ashley Willis, at The Lodge at Spruce Peak
Working with Ashley Willis, the Senior Wedding and Catering Manager at the Lodge at Spruce Peak, was wonderful. My son's wedding was two years in the planning, due to a year postponement due to COVID. Ashley listened to what my son and his fiancé wanted for the wedding and the celebration, and she also made some great suggestions and recommendations. Over the two years, Ashley kept track of every detail that we had discussed, nothing was lost or missing. They got the wedding of their dreams in a location that they love. It was so nice to celebrate the beginning of their marriage at the Lodge at Spruce Peak.

- We had decided on the Lodge at Spruce Peak after staying there for a weekend getaway with one of our dogs in prior years. Being from Vermont, we wanted to have an elegant wedding in the state and knew we wanted to pick a venue that was dog friendly. Spruce Peak especially in the winter is breathtaking. We chose to get married in December and their Christmas décor certainly does not disappoint. The Lodge itself is very beautiful with woodworking details and accents that are truly unique. The village, especially at Christmas time, is gorgeous. I wanted a wedding similar to what you would see in a Hallmark Christmas movie, and well Spruce Peak is just that. With snow falling, lights decorating the trees and buildings, and an ice rink in the center of the village --- everything was PERFECT. The staff are Spruce Peak were awesome. We had many of the same servers and bartenders throughout our wedding weekend events. Many of them even learned our dog’s names which was GREAT! They were all so friendly and had smiles on their faces. We truly felt like they took care of our guests and us (including the dogs). The valet and bellhop services were AWESOME! They helped load and unload several boxes and directed everything to exactly where it needed to go. All the employees greeted us with a smile and told us congratulations!
- We held our rehearsal dinner at the Whistle Pig Pavilion which truly offers unique architecture and a Vermont-y feel. The food was great, and the service was awesome. The cocktails at all our events were spot-on. Our reception food was delicious. Every guest cleared their plate. The appetizers for cocktail hour were delectable as well! We also did a welcome breakfast which was WONDERFUL! I cannot find any other way to say that the food each event was exactly what we hoped and imagined it would be!
- Lastly, our wedding would not have been possible without the help from Ashley W., our wedding coordinator at Spruce Peak. Ashley was extremely sweet each and every time I spoke with her whether it was via email or in person. She was flexible and receptive. She responded to every email promptly and answered each and every single one of my questions. When meeting with her, she was always super flexible with her schedule. You could tell she truly wanted everything to be perfect for us. She helped coordinate our wedding flawlessly—absolutely nothing went wrong – no hiccups, nothing! It was truly incredible. She decorated the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception venues beautifully and took into consideration every single thing I said to her over the last year when planning. Everything that I wanted a certain way, it was done that way. Everything I didn’t plan out fully, she made look beautiful. I could not have asked for a better coordinator on our special day. She is honestly one of the nicest people I’ve met and it was a pleasure to work with her. The entire bridal party and family members agreed that she is a sweetheart and did a phenomenal job. She was there every step of the way and our entire weekend was perfect because of her!

WOW. We would not recommend SML to anybody throwing any event for anything at any time. First of all, we were misled from the beginning of the process. This woman named Wendy (who was great) initially worked with us. She left the resort shortly thereafter and Ashley took over. I am not exaggerating - it would REGULARLY take Ashley about 3 - 4 weeks to respond to a simple email. She also did not answer the phone. There was almost no way to in contact with the team in charge and we were left feeling completely worried about how they were going to deal with our wedding. The food was GOD AWFUL and very poorly managed. Next comes the most ridiculous part of all of this: they did not keep track of the specific drinks that were served and simply estimated how many "premium" drinks our guests had. We were told that we would be charged $11/each premium drink. However, it is my belief that they counted BOTTLES rather than number of drinks, meaning if a martini had 2 shots, they were charging $22/drink. We were not aware of this and no one was able to confirm it. Everytime we sent an email with a question about it, it took ONE FULL MONTH for anyone to get back to us. Please do not EVER have an event at SML. They are a MESS. One big hot mess.

There is hands down - no better hospitality or service at any hotel we've ever been to than the Stowe Mountain Lodge. Our guests today are raving to this day about attending the best wedding of their lives - where they enjoyed not only the main wedding events, but also the lodging at SML where they felt so incredibly taken care of!
We got married in SML this past July with my big crazy Indian family and >150 of our guests staying on site - and it was certainly a weekend to remember. it was not just the major wedding events, but the true Stowe Mountain Lodge hospitality (SML) and the little details, moments, meals, and hard work tirelessly managed behind the scenes that made this such a phenomenal weekend. Ashley, Calais, Wendy, Julie, Justin, and the entire SML staff welcomed all of our zany ideas, unique requests, and our very type A family with such warmth, patience, and open arms from day 1 of planning to our wedding day. Our guests saw this warmth firsthand – whether it was the valet team going above and beyond to take care of our guests through minor accidents or road trouble, the pampering and care we experienced at the Salon and Spa (like when they brought me balm for my sore knee and hot tea on tap for my sore throat!), or the team managing such a complicated timeline like clockwork. As the traditions, rituals, and the shape of modern day weddings and culture evolve, it is so critical to have a venue, vendors, and staff by your side as partners that are willing to adapt and evolve to meet those needs. The Lodge and their staff exemplify this new era of weddings and have become like a second home and extended family to us. They really treated us all like family - and everything went on without a hitch! I think we may be the only Indian wedding that actually started 2 minutes EARLY ;) They offered our families, our friends, and Kunal and me a lifetime of memories – & we cannot wait to come back again and visit our new Vermont home in the years to come!

We had a great experience planning our wedding at Stowe Mountain Lodge and our wedding day was beautiful! Thank you Wendy for all of your help during the process- you really did a great job. Wendy, the event coordinator, really took the time to get to know us which made a huge difference in the whole process. Her suggestions were always well thought out and helpful, and she found ways to accommodate our requests. We always left a planning meeting with Wendy feeling very confident that everything was going to be perfect- and it was! Thanks for all of your help! The venue is beautiful and speaks for itself, but the staff there including the front four staff, Dwayne and April, is what took our whole wedding experience, for us and our guests, over the top! What a great weekend!

The Stowe Mountain Lodge was the absolute perfect place for my wedding in October. The staff is out of this world and treats you like royalty. The wedding coordinator was phenomenal and met my every expectation. The food was restaurant quality made with all local vermont ingredients. It didn't taste like it came from a caterer at all! I did not hear one complaint!

We can not say enough good things about the Stowe Mountain Lodge and its staff. The Lodge was beautiful and the staff was fantastic. The catering sales manager Calais Van Horn made sure everything we wanted and asked for was accommodated. She was always prompt to return emails and phone calls. On a weekend of blizzards she made our outdoor wedding come off perfectly. We will return for a vacation sometime for sure.

The Stowe Mountain Lodge offers beautiful views, exceptional service, and unparalleled food and amenities. Our guests loved the personal attention and specifically told me the names of employees who made their stay special. The food was AMAZING - which was the most important part of the process for the groom. They special ordered wines and beers that were meaningful to us. The wedding planners were easy to work with, responsive, and always upbeat. Our guests enjoyed the swimming pool and views of Mt. Mansfield -- even a morning ski for the groom and friends! While expensive and chic, Stowe Mountain Resort still maintains a rustic charm (check out the ballroom lights!). There were ample opportunities for photographs -- from the lobby to the terrace. They are familiar with setting up for weddings so everything was handled swiftly and perfectly. I worried that my wedding wouldn't feel "personal" at a venue that hosts so many weddings, but I felt unique and special. Thank you Stowe Mountain Resort!

We stumbled upon the lodge when we booked a room to stay there while looking at other venue locations and when we arrived we were blown away at the sight of the gorgeous resort. We knew that we wanted to have our wedding there. We continued to look at other venues but nothing compared. The views are spectacular, the ball-rooms are new and the staff is incredible. We have stayed multiple times while planning our wedding and plan to go back many times each year!

Calais and all the staff at the Stowe Mountain Lodge were amazing! Living 3 hours away we needed to rely a lot on Calais and she totally came thru for us. She made amazing recommendations from photographers, officiant, and even a pizza place for the 'rehearsal' dinner! The venue itself was beautiful, the mountain views (especially when it snows in October) were amazing, the heated pool that you can have a snowball fight in, the salon/spa, the food, the doorman/valet drivers who remembered us all weekend... everything was perfect! We can't wait to go back and visit it all again.
