The best part was definitely the food! Their in-house catering was phenomenal and all of my guests have commented on how tasty everything was. The drinks were also great and all of the bartenders/waitstaff were helpful and friendly. The owners, Darren, Chris, and Demi, were so easy to work with and made the experience so positive. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking to have a wedding with 100 people or less!

Wow, oh wow…this venue was just perfection.
Let me start by saying that when my daughter introduced the idea of a barn venue, I was less than thrilled. I just didn’t think a barn...
would be, shall we say, “glamorous” enough for the wedding of my only daughter. I could not have been more wrong.
The staff: This is a family-run business, and it shows. The personal service you receive from the owners is second to none. They walk you through every step and are available to answer all of your questions. Not only that, Darren, the owner, is there for the ENTIRE day, supervising set up, answering questions, and acting as your “day of planner”. He made the day run seamlessly while never getting you hyped up or worried. No one was left waiting around. Our guests could not get over the relaxed, smooth flow of the entire day. The wait staff was so organized, competent, and caring. They anticipated my every move and checked in with me to make sure all was running to my expectations. I am so grateful for that.
The space: This space was completely transformed into something out of a Hallmark movie. The recommended florist (Karla’s Garden Studio) was simply amazing. She was there for hours with her staff, putting together our specified vision, and worked with the staff at Jack’s to incorporate all of the little extras we brought with us.
The suites: If the barn itself didn’t sell the venue, the bridal suite sure did! SPECTACULAR! So spacious and practical, yet it was decorated like a perfect Victorian dollhouse room. The groom’s suite is beautiful as well. We were so comfortable and felt very much at home.
The food: The food was the best wedding dinner I’ve had, and this is coming from a very picky Italian woman lol. The desserts were so, so good…and honestly very unique. I love the idea of selections such as peach cobbler!
The bar: Incredible selections, friendly service, and people were not left waiting around.
Outside vendors to consider: Jack’s Barn recommended a couple of vendors for a special touch. One was the chalk artist, who transformed the large chalkboard into a personalized piece of art. I was blown away by this. The other was the cannoli and coffee cart. I wasn’t sure I needed this…but I am so, so glad we decided to hire them. They set up an unbelievable coffee cart for the entire day and then served homemade cannolis. The carts offered an old-world vibe that was perfect in the barn’s space.
The bottom line: You can have great food, a smooth day, and a beautiful venue…but there is that quality about a wedding that can’t be named. It comes from a genuine vibe that cannot be bought. Jack’s Barn provided that mystical quality. I am beyond happy, and again, I am an extremely picky person. Our guests were so impressed with it and commented on how refreshing it was to have something that was so unique. Thank you to Darren, Chris, Demi, and the entire staff.

lovely to work with. They do not up-charge for Saturday weddings (or any other day of the week) and their prices do not differ depending on the season. Every other venue we looked at had different prices for different days and seasons which is ridiculous. Their prices were completely reasonable. This is also a family run business and everyone we worked with, Darren, Chris, Gretchen, and Demi, were great with communication and responsiveness. My emails, texts, and questions were quickly answered no matter the day of the week. Second, they provide many choices of decorations you can borrow for your wedding (all included in your overall price). We saved so much money on decorations because we chose from their selection of table numbers, signage, card box, and various other decor items which they also set up. Basically all we brought were our centerpieces and drapery for the birch arch they have there. Third, the food was fabulous! We were a bit nervous because they don't do tastings but we were so happy with all of the food. Cocktail hour was lovely - we got the farm table, with passed apps of crab bites, spanakopita, lamb lollipops, scallop, and mozzarella in carrozza. Our guests complimented everything and the lamb, in particular, was a perfectly cooked medium rare. The salads (Jack's salad) and focaccia were wonderful and the entrees were hands-down the best entrees we have ever had at a wedding (I had the salmon, my husband had the short ribs - which were super tender and just perfect in every way). Our guests are still raving about the roasted chicken entree. I didn't get to try any of the desserts but they looked fabulous and people were going back for multiple helpings. Finally, the bridal suite was gorgeous and there was plenty of space to get ready and hang out before the wedding. You just need to bring your own food and drinks for the suite (there's a refrigerator downstairs to use). The groom's suite was cozy an my husband enjoyed hanging out down there with his groomsmen. Overall, the venue, the people, the food, just everything, could not have been better! Do not hesitate to book your wedding at Jack's Barn, you won't be disappointed!!

They made sure everything ran smoothly the entire day. Our groomsmen were doing their best to setup some of our decor while the ladies were all in hair/makeup, Darren didn't hesitate to jump in and assist and offer them guidance which was much appreciated. And their in house catering(Beanstalk Epicure) was amazing, I had so many people say it was some of the best wedding food they've ever had. The day went perfectly!

One of the first things that struck us about The Loft at Jack's Barn was the reasonable cost. So many other venues we looked at were absurdly expensive, making it difficult to find a place that fit within our budget. But Jack's Barn offered a fantastic value that didn't compromise on quality or charm.
Darren and Demi, the owners of Jack's Barn, made the entire planning process a breeze. As an overwhelmed bride, I cannot express how reassuring and stress-free they made everything feel. They were attentive and accommodating, ensuring that every little detail was taken care of. Their expertise and guidance truly made a difference.
Now, let's talk about the food. It was absolutely phenomenal! The flavors, presentation, and quality of the dishes were beyond our expectations. We weren't the only ones who thought so either. We received multiple texts from guests days after the wedding, expressing how much they loved the food. It's always a testament to a great venue when your guests can't stop raving about the cuisine.
As for the venue itself, it was nothing short of enchanting. The Loft at Jack's Barn exudes charm and intimacy. most likely do it without actually getting to see it, and ASAP because spots were filling up. We live in California, and my husband's family lives on the East Coast, so we knew we had to book a venue out that way. I had been looking for a venue and kept coming up empty handed. One day I happened to stumble upon The Loft at Jacks Barn when I was looking for a more farmhouse style instead of a hotel venue. Based on the pictures and video on their website, I fell in love. I sent the info to my husband, and he agreed that it was very much our style. I reached out to Darren and Demi about the venue. Speaking to them they were caught a bit off guard on us wanting to put down a deposit without seeing the venue. We didn't have much time since there was only 2 Fridays left in October 2022 for us to book, so we had to jump on it. Due to Covid, we had to postpone our trip out there in December 2022, and wouldn't actually get to visit the venue until April 2021. Fortunately, we were able to go visit (with my in-laws) and the venue exceeded our expectations. It had the cutest aesthetic and very rustic look that I love. Fast forward to September 2021 we lost my mother-in-law to Covid. We were unsure if we were going to continue with our wedding, but something about her being there with us to see it in person convinced me that we had to keep it.
I can't say enough how amazing Demi and Darren are. Not only with being compassionate during our loss, but by planning this wedding from California, they were very communicative and timely with all responses. They made the process of picking items and finding other vendors seamless.
The day of the wedding both Darren and Demi were there to assist us. Darren helped with all the decors. I showed him what I had brought and gave an idea of what I liked, but Darren set it up the best way he saw fit. The whole process was smooth before, during, and after. We brought decor that I wanted to donate through the venue like past brides. Their venue is a DIY, so everything that is left behind is allowed to be used for all future weddings. I loved that about them, and I wanted to do my best to pay it forward.
We couldn't have been blessed with a better venue to have picked and a better family run venue than this one. Darren and Demi are top notch and will make your dreams come true. I would recommend any and all to come and take a look at this venue. You will fall in love!

Darren, Demi, and the rest of the team were great to work with and we felt very well taken care of and supported day of! Our family even made note that the staff was warm and attentive. The venue is so lovely and well taken care of, and we received many a compliment from our guests. The catering was also well received and had so many great options to choose from! (Do note that tastings are not offered.) Catering was quite good, as well as the desserts provided as part of the package! After our wedding day, we booked their manor house, Twenty Belvidere, to stay in that evening with our wedding party and were so impressed! The house is stunning and made for a memorable way to cap off our day. Highly recommended, all around!

They have so many decorations and items for couples to borrow to make their weddings look amazing. Demi was there every time I had to change details and was always there to give a recommendation, help pull off ideas, and just make the experience more calm and fun for both of us. They coordinated our ceremony, vendors, and the whole reception to a T. My guests said the food was the best wedding food they've ever had, and seeing everyone enjoy was a highlight of our night. They were also super accommodating when it came to special requests and vendors that were new to Jacks. I had a very specific vision for my day and even though it poured rain, I couldn’t have asked for a better day. The getting ready space was stunning. It felt so dreamy to get ready up there. I had my four bridesmaids, and all the moms and grandma and there was plenty of room. The makeup artists loved it too because of the great set up. The food was incredible. do our walk through and he was so helpful. He answered all our questions and even helped us with things we didn’t think to ask. Once we signed the contract our main contact was his daughter Demi who was equally amazing. I could text her whenever with questions and she always got back to me super quickly. She was also the day of coordinator and I didn’t see her until the ceremony was starting but I’m guessing that’s because she was getting shit done because everything was perfect when I went out. Everything was set up exactly how I wanted and everyone was where they needed to be.
The only hiccup of the day was we started 15 minutes late but that was my decision. Demi told me there were only about 20 people out of 85 there and we did hear some people were stuck in traffic. So she suggested we started late and I agreed and I’m so happy we did because everyone ended up making it.
The venue is perfect if you’re looking for a rustic/vintage venue. The fact that the dinner space is totally separate from the dancing space is perfect. You could sit at the tables if you didn’t wanna dance and it wasn’t too loud. And you were still able to see the dance floor. So everyone felt included the entire time. And the food was AMAZING. We got sooo many compliments. The cocktail hour was mostly passed hors d’oeuvres which I love because who wants to hold a drink and try and eat with utensils at the same time, or sit down. Generally people want to mingle but there were still plenty of seats during the cocktail hour if anyone needed it. People were standing by the kitchen door to grab the food as it came out so they didn’t miss anything and there was PLENTY. Dinner was even better.
No complaints. I would recommend this venue to anyone. Like I said, no hiccups, it was the most perfect day. And the staff made it everything I could’ve dreamed of and more.

location and the hospitality and professionalism of Darren and Demi. The barn is a work of art that only gets better with each new touch that Darren and his family add. The grounds, bridal suite, groomsmen suite, and barn itself are all incredible. All of our guests commented on what a beautiful location we had chosen for our wedding. We loved that there was a TON of decor such as votives, seating charts, and card boxes that we could borrow from the barn to minimize our other expenses. Our only consideration for future couples is that Jacks is a DIY venue which requires a little bit of set up and planning. However it is SO worth it. With that extra time and effort, we were able to completely customize our vision and have a perfect day. Darren, Chris, Demi, and Casey were wonderful in assisting with the entire process and we highly recommend their venue to couples looking to have a beautiful, unique day. In addition to their services, we took into consideration their recommendations for our photographer (Nick Speer), bus service (Snyder Bus), chalkboard lettering (Stellabird Creative) and DJ (Fantasy Productions). By booking the whole Jack’s “dream team”, we felt like we couldn’t have been happier with the day!

everything about this venue is absolutely lovely. We explored a few of the other barn venues in NJ and found Jack's Barn to feel much more authentic and charming than the glitzy, glam, "faux" barns of northern NJ. If you are looking for a vintage, rustic feel, this venue is really worth checking out. Additionally, there is a gorgeous carriage house, on site, attached to the reception area where the bridal party can get ready.
There is also a lot of creative liberty with planning - we were provided with a list of preferred vendors and attended a showcase where we were able to meet many of these vendors. This allowed us to very easily find a florist (Strange Vine Studio), caterer (Franco Vitella Catering), officiant (Maureen Jeffries), and photo booth operator (Metro Photobooth Bus) that really knew the venue and could play to its strengths. As someone who has never planned a wedding before and didn't know the first thing about it, the process ended up being rather seamless and low-stress for me.
My only critique:
My husband and I got married on a very hot day in June and it did take a bit of time for the AC to kick in inside the reception area. This did not bother us personally as we were genuinely having a blast, but I know a few of our older guests were a bit disgruntled with the heat.

mi, who was accommodating, informed, and helpful. However, small issues arose on the day of our wedding that my husband and I were able to overlook until a month after the fact when the owner, Darren, withheld a quarter of the damage deposit due to his perception of disrespect on the part of our bridal parties.
Over the phone, and in writing, Darren agreed that no damage had been done to his property and we did not break the contract. However, he believes that our bridal party intentionally removed no smoking signs that he put up in the suites. Even though no cigar or cigarette smoking took place and no damage was done, Darren withheld the full refund of our damage deposit because of presumed disregard. My husband and I apologized for our friends and family if anyone had intentionally taken down signs, assured him we did not see this occur at all or even notice the signage, and even asked if it was plausible if signs fell or were just in a different spot than perhaps he remembered. Darren told us it was impossible that a printed out from a computer sign could have fallen off the wall. He stands his ground that because a sign was found on the table in the groomsmen suite than it must have been intentionally taken down and therefore he felt disrespected and withheld money owed back to us.
On the day of the wedding, items and decor that were agreed upon along with the layout for seating was not provided. Darren’s dogs were walked on the grounds and property to relieve themselves in sight and view of guests. And even though we were prepared to begin clean up after the wedding concluded at 10pm, we were immediately rushed out the doors and could not say goodbye to guests properly or gather all of our belongings.
This venue, although beautiful, is not worth the aggravation. Darren makes it very apparent that he does not actually want his barn to be a wedding venue.

nts on the unique space and the charm of the venue, and everyone had a great time. Darren and Demi were always very responsive and quick to answer any questions we had, and I had a lot of them! They thoroughly worked with us along the way to make sure that we had a great day.
We were also supposed to stay at their sister property, 20 Belvidere both the night before and the night of our wedding. However, there was an unfortunate situation with a broken boiler the day before our wedding that made this impossible. This threw a major wrench into a lot of plans, but Darren offered to help us secure other accommodations quickly, which was appreciated as there was not much time to do so. They then allowed early entrance to the bridal suite and were very flexible and accommodating as our needs changed. Our rehearsal dinner was also scheduled to be at 20 Belvidere, and Darren was kind enough to let us hold our dinner there even with the boiler issue. Since there was no heat, he and his staff made sure that the fireplaces were lit and constantly manned so our guests and the catering staff could be comfortable.
Our wedding day also had some unexpected challenges, but Darren, Demi, and Chris worked with us to make sure that everything ran as smoothly as it possibly could. The extra efforts they undertook were greatly appreciated, and I feel confident that they would go above and beyond for future couples as well. They are professional, detail oriented, and truly care about the couples and families they work with.
