David and the Love Revival Orchestra were AMAZING! David was super communicative in the planning of our day, and the set list hit all of the notes we wanted it to. The Love Revival Orchestra was truly an enormous highlight of our wedding day! The band played for our cocktail hour with a talented Jazz Trio, a parade to get our guests into the reception (so cool and lots of kudos from the guests!!), and an outstanding reception performance. There was not one moment that the dance floor was empty and they truly brought the best energy and talent. Music was one of our biggest priorities for the wedding day and our expectations were blown away. David was very collaborative, helping us to plan the perfect set list and answering all of our questions leading up to the day. We were also so appreciative that the band was able to not only learn but perform incredible renditions of our first dance song, and themes from Vanderpump and Star Wars (truly amazing live!). The Love Revival Orchestra is a truly incredibly talented band that played everything from The Beatles to The Cranberries to Taylor Swift and so much more. We absolutely love the Love Revival! They were the absolute BEST choice we could have made for our wedding band! We had a particular song we wanted to start off the night with which was an unusual request, and they more than accommodated this, bringing out brass horns to punctuate it and it helped really start off the party! Everyone raved about how fabulous they were and the dance floor was packed with people of truly all ages all night long. We have some incredible pictures of my grandma dancing the night away! WOW! David and The Love Revival Orchestra exceeded all of our expectations for our wedding. After seeing the band at my best friend's wedding, I knew they were great and the first people I wanted to reach out to when we booked our date. From start to finish, they were timely, organized, and incredibly thorough. They asked a ton of questions beforehand to make sure every detail was accounted for and that the day went smoothly. We cared a lot about the music and the vibe and they really made an effort to understand what we liked and didn't like. They have a huge set list and are also open to adding a few special requests to make the day really personal to us. The dance floor was packed the entire night and it was truly the most fun I've ever had at a wedding. So many people have told us how they thought this was the best wedding band they've ever seen. Couldn't recommend this group enough. I can't wait until we have another big party just to have an excuse to hire them again!

The Love Revival Orchestra playing at our wedding made our reception SO memorable and fun!!!  Every single one of our guests told us how much they loved the band, including commenting specifically on how talented all the musicians were (we fully agree!!). They have an incredible range - they knocked it out of the park on songs from Signed, Sealed, Delivered to Dosas & Mimosas. Guests of all ages were on the dancefloor all night long. Lawrence was an awesome hype man for the night and kept the energy up from start to finish! We had seen their spin off band, the Yacht Lobsters, play in the city and from there knew this was a group we needed to have at our wedding (even though it was many different musicians, the talent & energy level were matched!) David was great to work with leading up to the event, helping with the flow of the day as well as flow of songs in the set, considering all our input very carefully. In addition to the reception, we had the guitarist play acoustic during our cocktail hour which was wonderful. They did a great job with our first dance song ending exactly as we requested it and learned a new song for our father daughter dance - Everybody Talks - and you'd have had no idea it was the first time they'd performed it! They also helped coordinate a surprise flash mob that we had no idea about! If you want your wedding to be a blast, we strongly recommend hiring The Love Revival Orchestra!

Love Revival was awesome! The dance floor was packed all night, with just the songs that the bride and groom wanted to hear. They made it so easy, even added a soloist for the ceremony at the last minute!

My parents have been to a few weddings with this band and insisted we got them too. They created such an incredible set list and were absolutely incredible. The dance floor was PACKED the entire time. I think my husband and I sat for a total of 10 minutes the entire night. We had a mishap with our video footage of the father daughter dance, and they happily replayed the song, and even encouraged me to do it again for the memory when I was hesitant. So glad they convinced me to that, because no we will always have the memory! All of our guests are still raving about them, and are saying they can’t remember a wedding they’ve been to where a dance floor was that consistently full. We are so grateful to Love Revival for keeping the dance floor full and making our day so memorable.

The Love Revival Orchestra is not your average wedding band. They are extremely talented, and we had multiple people come up to us at the wedding and text us the day after to tell us that they were the best wedding band they had ever heard. Additionally, Dave was super flexible and easy to work with, responding to emails in <24 hours. They also learned new songs for us that we requested and they were so good we thought they were playing the actual tracks! The band also has a marching band which leads the crowd from cocktail hour to the receptions, which was a really nice touch. You can't go wrong hiring this band for your wedding!

My husband & I worked with The Love Revival Orchestra for our wedding celebration in October 2022. We had come across this awesome band on Instagram and were immediately drawn to their energy & their unique parade. Being that my husband is from Brazil, the idea of incorporating a parade played a one-of-a-kind homage to Carnival and it was a smash hit with all of our wedding guests!! David was super responsive and easy to work with. Believe it or not, we were able to see The Love Revival at their Yacht Lobsters show in Manhattan before the wedding and knew we had made the right decision. Their song list available to select music from is extensive and they are flexible in working with the bride & groom in selecting music that will keep the party going and match your vision. They were the only band we interviewed that was as ready and excited to play Disco music as we were! Their variety of songs throughout the night was perfect and kept guests dancing the entire night. I can’t begin to explain how amazing The Love Revival Orchestra was at our wedding! We had 320 guests and not one person was sitting down the entire night! They kept the party going and I couldn’t imagine any other band being there on our special day. So many guests have reached out asking about the band and I can’t recommend them enough. Also! Every single wedding guest told us during our wedding night and after the wedding that this was by far the best wedding band they've ever seen. They learned two of our first dance songs and absolutely crushed them. They were so responsive and flexible with our requests for the flow/order of the music/ the ceremony music- everything. They worked with us, collaborated, and advised. It was truly a team effort which was such a cool feeling. ....They even let me (the vodka sodas are fogging my memory...so I'm not sure if I even asked to get on stage...lol!!) do an impromptu performance of my favorite song in the world, Rosalita, on stage to close out the night and it was probably the best 7 minutes of my entire life. This is the best wedding band in the entire world. Book them NOW! Go! You will not regret it :)

Wow !! So much planning and effort into an incredible night. We are still riding that high. And we have now received so many positive comments from friends and family, and many, if not all, included incredibly positive feedback on the band ! The Love Revival is the go to band for your wedding day. We had a 7 piece version and it did cost a bit more than our budget, but it was well worth it. Dave and the band were incredible at the wedding, but also in the weeks and months before. He created the best set list and helped us understand timing and schedule for the music. When we ended up not wanting to spend for a DJ, he helped us create playlists that we also danced to - while the band was on break. We never sat down the entire wedding. We were dancing and having fun with our friends and family. The band was easy going, high energy and really got everyone on the dance floor for their entire sets of music. They even learned our first dance song so they could play it live rather than a recording of it. I knew these guys were good, but I had no idea how many comments people were going to share that included how great the band was. The reason for all of these comments ? Because the band was really great. They have an 'inventor' of over 600 songs, so we picked like 12 that we absolutely wanted to hear and another 50 or so that we liked. Dave then put together the music they played and it was the best. To have Shakedown Street come up so we had a little Grateful Dead even though we didn't choose it, was incredible. We also had many international friends come to the wedding and the band played songs in five different languages including English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian and Hebrew. There is a reason why these guys are so busy that you have to book them months and months in advance, because they are serious musicians who know how to come together as a top top top wedding band for your special night. We see a lot of live music, as do our friends. We could not be happier that we were lucky enough to have The Love Revival as our wedding band and we could not put together enough superlatives to describe our experience with them. If you are considering them as your wedding band, reach out early and try to ensure they are available. David and band were the perfect addition to making our wedding night a complete success. We had requested songs a head of time and the band nearly played all of them. "Your Band is Amazing - Where did you find them?" is the question my wife and I continuously received throughout the wedding from both other guests and other vendors. Love Revival Orchestra absolutely made our wedding day. The band leader, Lawrence Trailer, was a blast and full of energy. We had a duo for our ceremony that absolutely crushed our processional and recessional and we had a jazz trio for our cocktail hour. In both circumstances, the music was perfect and caught the vibe we were looking for. The party really kicked up when David and the rest of the band led us into wedding reception New Orleans style with a parade and music leading the way. Once in at the reception, the band played all of our music requests with the highlight being my wife's requested song, Love Story by Taylor Swift, which the band learned how to play prior to the big day. The band was flexible (wedding was in Catskill barn with no phone/wifi services) and customized/adapted to our vibe for the big day. Thank you Love Revival Orchestra!

Best wedding band EVER- what great energy and talent! My husband and I always knew we wanted a live band for our wedding, but choosing one was hard especially with the pandemic meaning we had to rely on recordings to see if we liked a band's energy. As soon as we started listening to Love Revival Orchestra, though, we said THIS is the one - their energy was infectious and incredible even in the recordings, and band leader David was awesome to work with. And on our wedding day they MADE the wedding - guests exclaimed over and over it was the best wedding band they'd ever heard. They keep the energy so high throughout the night and are incredibly musically talented and so versatile - from a gorgeous instrumental "Can't Help Falling In Love" bridal processional, to acoustic renditions of songs like "Fire and the Flood" during cocktail hour, to a hyping up New Orleans-style parade to lead guests into cocktail hour (seriously the best way to get guests inside!) to an energy explosion in our introduction, beautiful first dance, and then keeping the dance floor ABSOLUTELY packed the entire night with classic hits like "Shout" and more contemporary ones like a Lady Gaga medley - they really just kept the party going and we were absolutely thrilled with them!

I read a review when looking for the perfect band that said something like, "If you're looking for the perfect band, STOP right here and hire these guys." Wow, am I glad I paid attention to that one. Hiring this band was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding! So, if you're reading this, I'll pass on the same advice we followed: STOP right now, and hire them!! My now husband and I knew we wanted the music to be the center piece of our wedding. We wanted a band that could carry the arc of the whole day from the ceremony through the end of the reception, and we didn't want the wedding to sound like a wedding, but rather an incredible event with many movements and smooth transitions. We knew it was a tall order and interviewed 17 bands before we found Love Revival Orchestra. They carried our day, making it totally cohesive and fluid, and more. The music they provided was incredible from beginning to end. We were in several indoor and outdoor locations throughout the day, and the sound was engineered as perfectly as the music was played in each. We had classical music, Dixieland Jazz, French Gypsy Jazz, and incredibly energetic and diverse dance music. We had two parades. The energy was everything. Guest after guest told us it was the best band they'd ever experienced. These are friends who have lived in Manhattan and travel the world. My favorite moments were being lead into our reception by an incredible parade and then being surrounded by the horns and drums as we were paraded out of our reception to our exit. This was the most incredible day of our lives, and we attribute the greatness of it so much to the band. David, the band leader, we extremely responsive and communicative from the start. I was looking for a collaborator for the event, not a hired band, and he was into it. He went above and beyond. That was a rare gift. We had several conversations and many emails, per my request, and I felt like I had a partner in shaping the sound of our wedding. I came with ideas. He a added inspiration and experience and elevated everything into perfection. The band looks great, they sound amazing, and they are as professional as they are talented. I would hire them again and again and recommend them to everyone!

Hiring Brother Josephus was one of the best decisions we made in wedding planning. Working with David was fun and easy and the band even learned a few more complex/obscure indie requests. Their performance was amazing and they had everyone out enjoying themselves on the dance floor!

The "second line" parade going into the reception from cocktail hour was a fun surprise for our guests. We had a medical incident at the wedding. Everyone in our families from young to old spent the entire night on the dance floor. The breadth of music this band knows is unparalleled. There was something for everyone and they made it fun. The medleys were spectacular. The energy was contageous. We went with the full complement of musicians (three horns, three singers + everyone else). They provided a jazz trio for the cocktail hour. We are now trying to figure out excuses to hire them again (family reunion next year?).

Band did a great job. High class musicians. Not too loud, and very versatile. Great stage presence and rapport with audience. David band leader, was very responsive to all emails. Would highly recommend them!

We hired The Love Revival Orchestra for our wedding in May, and could not have asked for a better experience. We were so impressed by the quality of the musicians and overall sound (they bring their own sound engineer), and it really made the night special. Our guests were blown away and so many of them asked how we found the band - some even said they are now converted to preferring live bands instead of DJs (about time)! The parade from cocktail hour into the reception is a nice touch - I was a little skeptical of how it would play out, but it was so unique and an awesome way to inject energy into the event. David was amazing during the planning process - he is so responsive, accessible, and organized. He definitely knows his way around these events and can anticipate issues/concerns before they come up. Our lead singer/band leader for the day was actually Lawrence Trailor (not David). Lawrence was so impressive, and his talent, professionalism, and energy was a major part of why the band was such a success. Everyone loved him, especially during "Shout" when he was dancing on the floor in the middle of the circle! I'm using a lot of superlatives in this review because I'm so happy with how the day went, and I credit a huge amount of that to the band. Thank you!!!

David and the Love Revival Orchestra were AMAZING! We discovered them at a family friend's party, and we're so glad we did. Prior to meeting with David, we had been looking at other bands and DJs, but when we found the Love Revival, we knew we had found our band. What we noticed first, was how they genuinely love to perform together. David was really wonderful to work with - he is super down to earth, responsive, and clearly cares a lot about his couples! Not once did we feel we were being "sold to" (as is often the case with other bands/music groups). He provided great guidance and advice on things like number of musicians, the right instruments for ceremony and cocktail hour based on the music we wanted, and also had song suggestions when needed. The band's song list is very extensive so selecting our "must plays" was really fun. On the day of, the band was truly incredible and our guests had the best time. Many remarked at how great they were, how wide their range is, and how the band members seemed to enjoy playing together and how high their energy was. The New Orleans style parade was also a super unique and fun way to get the party started. Our family loves them so much that we plan to go see them at their gigs in NYC when we can. I can't recommend the Love Revival Orchestra enough - look no further and hire them now!

The Love Revival Orchestra was easy to work with on the business end and delivered on all of their promises. We worked collaboratively on the play list, starting with an initial three set that got everyone in the groove. We are in love with The Love Revival Orchestra. We danced our brains out to them at a friend's wedding before we got engaged and so we knew we HAD to book them for ours. We booked them before booking the venue! The music and dancing was most important to us so the cost was a good chunk of our budget and we have NO regrets. They can work in different configurations with differing numbers of musicians and I would say book as many of these amazing musicians as you can. They are worth the price of admission! Extremely communicative, professional and they have a HUGE selection of songs in their rep. They will work with you to deliver on music that's important to you and will have a mix of songs for everyone. They know how to get people on the floor, and everyone that attended our wedding can't stop talking about how incredible they were. We are pumped to go see them in concert outside of weddings and suggest you do the same!

Seeing this band is hard to describe but I'll do my best. These guys managed to put their unique spin on each song while still keeping it classic and recognizable. All of the first dances felt so much more fun and interesting because of their style. I cannot thank them enough!

The Love Revival Orchestra exceeded every expectation we had for our wedding on July 31, 2021 in upstate New York. Music was the central focus for our wedding. We wanted to throw a party for our loved ones and have guests on the dance floor all night long. The band was extraordinary. Each member is a talented musician and brought tremendous energy and good vibes. Every song they sang sounded equal to if not better than the original. Their standard was excellence and they never once missed their mark. You could feel their energy from the audience. They love playing with each other and they love music and it's contagious. About a month before the wedding, David Mendelsohn sent us a detailed email questionnaire inquiring about the venue, event timing, logistics, and our musical preferences. He is an absolute professional with years of experience, and considered details that we would not have known to think about. The band has a repertoire of over 600 songs with tremendous range. One might expect quality would suffer with so much range but each and every song was just fantastic. David made himself very available over email to discuss and understand our musical preferences including must plays, favorite genres/bands/songs, do not plays, etc. We went with a guitar and violin duo for our ceremony, a jazz trio for our cocktail hour, the New Orleans style parade into the reception, and the 10-piece band for the reception including two female vocals and David (and an awesome fiddle(!) and brass section). The ceremony and cocktail hour sounded beautiful. The reception was three sets that included tracks from the Blues Brothers, Earth Wind & Fire, "Jump Jive An Wail", Gipsy Kings "Volare", Bill Withers "Lovely Day", "Despacito", "Ants Marching", "Semi-Charmed Life", Lady Gaga "Shallow", Lizzo "Truth Hurts", Cardi B "I Like It", Inner Circle "Sweat", Bruce Springsteen "Thunder Road", "Wagon Wheel", Killers " Mr. Brightside", "Shout" and several longer "mashups" of other great dance songs from different genres (Funk, Hip-Hop, 70s, etc.). We gave the band one request for a unique version of "Sweet Child O' Mine" for the father/daughter dance and the female singer sounded even better than the version we sent her to replicate. Both female singers were just spectacular and David himself is just a total student of the game. His range is outrageous. He loves Bruce and sang "Thunder Road" so well that my 70 year old father with two recent knee replacements got up to dance. I would pay to go to another wedding just to hear this band play again. Book them. Support them. Enjoy them. This is one part of your event that you do not have to think about. They are absolutely wonderful.

The Love Revival made our wedding so incredibly memorable!
