Hi, I’m Vallerie, the photographer behind The Lucia House. I’ve been passionate about photography for more than 10 years, with additional training in photography and graphic design.
For me, wedding photography is about so much more than creating beautiful portraits. I want to document what the day actually felt like: the nervous excitement before the ceremony, the reactions you may not get to see yourself, the laughter with your favorite people, the quiet moments between the two of you, and all of the little things happening in between.
I love giving couples a balance of beautiful portraits and genuine, candid photographs. I’ll step in with direction when you need it, help keep portraits organized and comfortable, and then give you room to simply enjoy your wedding while I document it as it unfolds.
I’m based in New York and happily travel throughout the Northeast and beyond for weddings, elopements, and celebrations. Every couple and every wedding is different, and getting to preserve those stories is what I love most about what I do.
