The Macks

I can not sing enough praises for The Macks. Every single interaction we had with them will planning was amazing. Plus, we had alot of issues with our venue and The Macks went over and above to help coordinate things that weren't their responsible. We really feel like they cared about not only us but the whole experience. The amazing final results added to our happiness with them too. These are not photographers who get in the way and invade the space either. We're completely in love with EVERY photo that was taken. Once again, we can't sing enough praises for The Macks.

We chose Ryan and Ashley as our engagement and wedding photographers, and we are so happy we did! They made us feel very comfortable and were great to work with. We had such an amazing time at our wedding and we are so pleased that the photos we have reflect that. We have over 900 photos from our wedding (150 from our engagement)- it will be hard to choose which ones to get printed! What a great way to remember such an awesome day!

One of the biggest things I learned in the wedding planning process was hire amazing vendors! And The Macks are amazing at what they do! They were easy to get in touch with, always got back to me quickly. They were so much fun the day of the wedding. Kept everyone in my bridal party laughing the whole time we were taking pictures. I have only seen my sneak peek pics so far, and I can't wait to see the rest! To all the brides out there...Hire these photographers!! You will not regret it! Love, love, love them!!!

I'm not sure I have enough kind words to describe Ashley and Ryan. So instead I'll share the things they did that went above and beyond what I ever expected from our photographers. From the beginning of wedding planning, I was hunting down a great photographer willing to work with my budget. That is harder to find than one may think. I found The Macks on the Knot and reached out to them. Ashley and Ryan were very flexible and we were able to work out a package that was exactly what we wanted. Although our wedding was in Monroe, MI and they were in Ferndale, MI it was no trouble for them to travel for us. One small but important detail I noticed was that they utilize Pinterest and encourage their clients to create boards of inspiration. I really liked that they took the time to sift through each and every one of my pins on my Photography board and asked me which shots I liked the best and why, to get a better idea of what I was looking for. I haven't heard of anyone else taking the time to do this and its a fantastic idea! We had an engagement shoot with them beforehand as well. The Macks worked tirelessly to find us locations that would reflect our vintage glamour theme and found a spot that was perfect. They were able to bring out the goofball side of me and my husband, which we never thought possible in front of the camera. We received absolutely phenomenal photos that we will treasure forever. On our wedding day, I must say they were total rockstars. There were many issues with changes in locations for the groom and myself getting ready due to last minute mistakes made by our venue. Ashley and Ryan rolled with the punches with absolutely no complaints whatsoever. Though I was upset over my original plan falling through, (again, venue's fault, not theirs) Ryan helped calm me down and we figured out a new location for me to put my dress and final touches on (which turned out even better than where we were supposed to be!) The thing I think we liked the most about The Macks was their fun personalities which put everyone at ease while they were shooting and truly allowed us to have a great time. Their ability to make us laugh at a moments notice, and blend into our group of family and friends are just a few great qualities they possess. Not to mention the gorgeous photos! I have already received so many compliments on the sneak peak photos and engagement photos. I will continue to happily recommend their talent to family, friends, and any bride looking for amazing photography for her wedding day.

The Macks were awesome! They met with us before the wedding to discuss the "look" and the types of pictures we wanted for our wedding and they absolutely nailed it! Could not be happier with the quality of our photos :) We can't wait to work with this brother and sister team again in the future. I recommended them to my cousin who is getting married in May 2014 and she booked them as well. They are great to work with and very flexible. Highly recommend using The Macks for any big event!!

I was in a panic trying to find a wedding photographer four months out from the wedding that had everything we wanted: Affordable, great style, and available on our wedding day. MACKS to the rescue! Luckily they had a cancellation on our wedding day, so we were able to slip right in. Ashley and Ryan were a pleasure to work with from the initial e-mail, working out pricing that fit in our budget, and everything leading up to the day of. They put my mind at ease, and we had a blast with them as they captured our special day. Not only were the pictures stunning, but they captured the emotions we were feeling. Their style is very organic and I think that's what sets them apart from any other wedding photographer. I would recommend The Macks to any bride and groom, or anyone for that matter! We were worried about wedding photographers because wedding photos can sometimes be so cheesy and that is not really our style. The Macks were professional and very creative. Ryan met with us well in advance and asked us lots of questions about how we met and what our style was like. He even scouted out shots near our wedding location that were awesome. You can tell he worked hard to plan and prepare so that the shooting would be smooth on the wedding day, and it was. Ryan made everybody feel very comfortable and was a lot of fun. We are so incredibly happy with our pictures! Everyone who sees them says they are the coolest and most unbelievable pictures they've ever seen and that they want to use them when they get hitched. We also got the optional video vignettes of our first dance and cake cutting. I had never seen something like that before, but it was such a cool way to capture those moments without having a traditional videographer. I also just have to mention that The Macks were one of the most affordable options we looked at, even if their work was seriously priceless!
