Our wedding reception and cocktail hour at the Madison Club turned out even better than we could have imagined. They were extremely easy to work with and responsive throughout the entire planning process, and every detail of the cocktail hour and reception looked incredible.
We had a December wedding, and the venue was the perfect backdrop for a black-tie event. The space felt elegant and warm, and everything came together beautifully. We worked closely with Jillian throughout the planning process, and she was incredibly responsive, accommodating, and easy to work with.
The quality of the food was outstanding - we heard nothing but great feedback from our guests on all of the entrées. The late-night curds and brats, as well as the desserts, were also a huge hit. The bar service and drink quality were excellent, and service throughout the night was smooth and professional.
We also took advantage of the getting-ready rooms, which were perfect for photos and made the day much easier. The food provided during that time was great as well.
We truly wouldn’t change anything about our experience with the Madison Club. They exceeded our expectations in every way, and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an exceptional wedding venue and experience.

parent their pricing was. Having an unlimited bar at a flat rate per guest really set us at ease budget wise. ALSO - I have been to multiple weddings where bridesmaids are cleaning up til 1AM. I cannot emphasize enough how nice it was that the club took care of takedown for us so myself and my beautiful bridesmaids could simply enjoy their nights after a long day of photos and setup.

This included coordinating multiple visits to the club, which provided us with valuable insights and perspectives and helped to ensure that our tasting and detailing meetings were organized and ran smoothly. Leanne and the team really made us feel special and heard at all times - no matter what questions we had as we planned our wedding from out of state, we always felt we could ask and that it would be answered promptly and thoroughly.
Leanne and the Madison Club events team did not only just help plan our event but also provided top-notch coordination and support all the way through the end of the wedding day itself, ensuring everything went smoothly and that we had everything we needed at every juncture. Leanne Liautaud was amazing to work with, offered welcome guidance, coordinated everything seamlessly and always left us feeling seen and heard. Planning a wedding has the potential to be stressful and instead this was a truly enjoyable and memorable process. The venue is beautiful throughout and offers the perfect spaces for getting ready, the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. It was wonderful to be able to utilize the different and unique spaces throughout the day and evening. The venue is also perfectly located for stunning pictures with not only the beauty of The Madison Club itself, but the Capitol, Lake Monona and Monona Terrace steps away. Not being members of The Madison Club ourselves (we were sponsored), we were especially appreciative of the responsive, respectful and impeccable service we received from Leanne and everyone we encountered at The Madison Club from start to finish. al location downtown, and found it especially beneficial that they offered so many wedding services. From catering (cake included in our selected package), beverages, tables, chairs, linens, place settings, day-of getting ready spaces, and an on-site event coordinator. This was very important to us as we didn't want to have even more vendors to coordinate with, and the Club being a "one stop shop" was incredibly helpful in simplifying our planning. They have so many options to choose from so you can offer more classic wedding meals or something a little more adventurous (which we did and loved). The food is truly delicious! They also provide a list of vendors recommended by the Club and we were able to work with a few of them for our day. Alex, our event coordinator, was so responsive, patient, and accommodating throughout our planning process which entailed many emails, questions, and changes :) He was amazing to work with! We were so pleased with how everything turned out and we will cherish the memories made at The Madison Club forever.

My husband and I are beyond happy that we chose The Madison Club to host out wedding.
When it came to wedding planning there were only 2 things we knew for sure:
1 - We wanted a sm...

2 - We wanted to do the least amount of work possible.
The Madison Club was perfect for our 40 person guest list. We loved that they had a special package for small weddings (70 people or less) with great pricing, and that the rooms were sized well, with plenty of space for people to dance, chat, and use the photo booth, but not so much that it felt awkward.
But even better than that, the venue was essentially all inclusive - we could have separate getting ready rooms, the ceremony, the reception, and beautiful photo ops all in the one place. Their catering and bakery were delicious - we still get compliments on our food - and we loved not having to worry about choosing and managing a separate caterer. The space is beautiful enough that we hardly got any decor. And the team is so practiced at hosting weddings that we had no problem with room flips or service.
The best thing for our mental sanity was the included wedding planning meetings where our event planner Alex was able to guide us through how the whole night would go and what we had to do to get us there. I cannot over-emphasize how helpful it was to have someone give us a template of how these things usually go so we could know what decisions we had to make and what some suggested options were, instead of drowning in a sea of vague notions. We let Alex know from the get go that we wanted to do the least possible while still having a wedding that felt special and he was able to pare things down so well that come 4 weeks before the wedding we had nothing left to think about and nothing new to do.
There also isn't a better deal in town. For the price of just the venue or venue+catering anywhere else, we got the venue, catering, a cake, linens, table and chairs, setup and takedown, staff, and what was essentially a wedding planner and day-of coordinator; plus the mental ease of not have to coordinate separate vendors for the venue, catering, bakery, event rentals, etc.... We're still amazed at how smoothly and easily it all went. I don't think it's possible to have a more relaxed wedding planning experience without just eloping.

The food was incredible, as was the cocktail hour offerings and the cake. Couldn’t be happier with all of their services! We also used both ready rooms and it was so convenient and well appointed. The staff was friendly and helped gather things up throughout the day as we moved through the spaces so that the end of the night cleanup was an absolute breeze and we were able to get back to our hotel at a super reasonable time. Can’t say enough good things about them. Its location is also ideal with views of the lake, great photos opportunities all around including the Capitol and the interior of the venue itself is gorgeous! If you’re looking for a historic, gorgeous building that comes with all the amenities and professionals who know what they’re doing for weddings, then look no further!

First things first, the space is gorgeous, and has so many unique spaces that our guests raved about. It was also really nice to have different areas for each "stage" (Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, Reception) of the wedding, and the on-site getting ready rooms (plus the food was amazing for breakfast/lunch) made everything such an easy day.
We worked mainly with Leanne and Alex, but all the staff was incredibly helpful both leading up to, and on the big day. The only thing that went wrong was they forgot a knife to cut the cake (which come on... if that's all that goes wrong, that's a win!) but they grabbed one about 30 seconds after we realized it was missing.
They made the selection process for table count, linens, and all the fine details incredibly easy and simple for us. The food tasting was incredibly hard, only because all the options for dinner were so amazing. Our guests RAVED about how good the food was, and the cake was delicious too.
Even after the fun was all over, the bartending staff took time to thank us directly for how kind our guests were, how much fun they had, and we even had a gift get lost... but their staff had grabbed it and tucked it away for safekeeping until the next morning.

If you're planning on a wedding downtown, look no further! We'd highly recommend the hotel right next door (Hilton Monona Terrace) for a room block and it is 20 steps from the hotel to the venue.

unning wedding and I knew that no venue could compare to this historic Madison staple. Working with Leanne was so remarkable, fun and easy. She was phenomenal at taking our dreams from paper and turning them into reality, she is truly spectacular! It is centrally located and close to many hotels, like Hilton, which was perfect for our guests traveling in. They have fantastic packages that offer so much including an assortment of food/room options that are also decently priced. The most talked about feature of this venue from our guests other than its gorgeous rooms was definitely the food! The food here is unmatched and nearly every guests couldn't stop talking about how delicious it was, which made this experience even better. The venue is perfect for breathtaking photos as well! event team were very responsive, flexible, and accommodating to our gluten free requests, special wine considerations, room preferences, and, especially, our short timeline! Guests commented how good the service and the food was. Everything was just great, right up to the fun staff that were dancing to the music as they cleaned up glasses from tables!
I was on the fence about the late-night food, but it ALL was a HUGE hit – especially the cheese curds! Everyone really enjoyed that.
We ended up wrapping up at 11pm , instead of midnight, and the staff just rolled with the change. David, the sommelier, was fantastic to work with, too. We appreciated that the event team, and even, Mary, the Club General Manager, popped in to check on things once the evening was under way. The AC was quite cold during dinner, but as soon as I mentioned it to staff, someone fixed it. Everyone was super responsive and nice. All in all, an excellent experience!!

having an outdoor ceremony elsewhere to having an indoor ceremony with them. They were completely supportive and flexible through every step. Every single person we spoke to was kind. Having food/furniture/linens/alcohol all through one place made everything so much easier on us, and the planning team here is truly excellent. I felt like I had no idea what I was doing and they guided me the whole way through planning.
As for day of - the space is absolutely gorgeous, our guests were so impressed, it photographs amazingly, you're walking distance to everything. We had many multiple compliments about the food, I had people tell me it's the best wedding food they'd ever had. The cake was excellent. The team was so helpful day of, all of my bridesmaids even knew who to look for if they needed anything because they knew that the Madison Club's team would help.
We truly could not have asked for anything more. This was literally the perfect venue, we literally cannot recommend them enough.

e of about 3 months! We chose this venue because 1) it’s beautiful 2) has amazing food and drink and 3) the packages make planning such a breeze! Due to the pandemic, we’d had to change both our wedding date and location twice and were suffering from severe decision fatigue. So being able to pick a few customizations and let MC’s team handle the rest was exactly what we needed. Even with the package structure, with our own decor and entertainment mixed in we felt the final result was unique and very “us.” Multiple members of our wedding party expressed how impressed they were- that they’d never been in a wedding before that went so smoothly! We also heard guests say that the bartenders were awesome and the food was the best wedding food they’d ever had! We utilized multiple rooms in the building, and this built excitement as we moved from ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception. Leanne was amazing to work with. She made planning and coordinating so simple and straightforward for us.

we found the Madison Club and were able to book our wedding date in the midst of the pandemic. They made things super easy on us for planning and coordinating everything, down to the last detail. I really appreciated Leanne's willingness to communicate clearly with plenty of advance notice, a wedding can be a lot of moving parts and small overlooked details but she helped us think through all of them and gave us plenty of time to decide things. The day of, she even walked around and noticed things that were out of place or missing and brought it to our attention with plenty of time to get things figured out -- a godsend on a busy day like your wedding day. The space itself is gorgeous and really fun -- all the details from the wallpaper to the architectural details make for such a beautiful wedding space. And the food is amazing!! We were nervous about the food since we'd never eaten at the MC before but after our tasting we were so excited to eat it again at our wedding, and the cake was fantastic too, we loved the flavors they let us pick for our cake. An amazing experience -- we'll definitely do our anniversary parties with the MC in the future so we can relive the amazing day we had.

h. When we had to postpone the wedding due to COVID, they were so flexible and made changing our date less stressful. Leanne and her staff were wonderful to work with and made sure our day was perfect. I had several guests comment about how smooth and unobtrusive the service was during and after dinner and we received many compliments about the food, the cake, and the late night snacks. Their pastry chef, Judith, made the most beautiful cake and even went above and beyond to make a gluten and dairy free cake for some of our guests with dietary needs. The whole evening was perfect and I'd highly recommend the Madison Club for your wedding or other large event.

ces you get with one of their wedding packages, it's well worth it. They provide the venue, food, cake, bartenders and waitstaff, furniture, linens, ready rooms, etc. They even do all the setup and teardown for you, so no need to have your family and friends rush to the venue early to set things up or stay late to pack up your stuff (I can't tell you how valuable of a service this is for both you and your guests).
We had all of our wedding events at the Madison Club, including rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. Our guests really liked not having to drive from a ceremony location to a separate reception location. The Madison Club's rooms are all so beautiful that it's very easy to find a lovely space for a ceremony and then a cool, open area for your reception.
The food at the Madison Club is excellent. We used them for lunch food in the ready rooms as well as all the cocktail hour and dinner food options, including the cake. They were very open to accommodating the dietary needs of our guests, even making a custom meal for our two vegan/gluten-free guests for no extra charge.
Working with Julianne Suleski (one of their wedding coordinators) was one of the best things about planning our wedding. She was always quick to respond to any and all questions I had about the Madison Club and wedding planning in general.
The Madison Club is also conveniently attached to the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace, which is an excellent option for your wedding hotel block.
Since the wedding, our guests have been telling us repeatedly what a well-run, perfect wedding we had. So many people before the wedding kept telling us "something will go wrong with your wedding, and that's okay," but literally we had no problems on the wedding day. I thank Julianne and the Madison Club for that.

lace enough. We got married here on November 17, 2018, and we got SO many compliments on how beautiful the venue was. We only needed minimal decorations as the venue itself is already gorgeous. Their recently renovated basement area (the Atrium) has a beautiful glass ceiling with chandeliers that are just gorgeous. And the food is SPECTACULAR, we got so many compliments on how wonderful the food was. The Madison Club took care of everything for us, which made my life SO much easier. They even make your cake for you! Can't recommend this place enough!!

ut the process, everyone was very flexible to help us achieve the wedding we wanted and when we weren't sure what we wanted, we got lots of help and advice which was much needed. Our coordinator/point person changed a few weeks before the wedding after our original contact quit working at the Madison Club, which was initially stressful, but we were taken really good care of. The food was delicious (we got lots of comments from all our guests), and the service was even better. I can't imagine having our wedding reception anywhere else.

. Amber Pilat was the best wedding planner we could have asked for. She was so organized and I knew I could count on her. She had every detail and request of mine carried out perfectly.
The food was wonderful, especially the cake! The staff were amazing, very patient and accomodating to my rowdy crowd. I literally do not know of one thing going wrong, and if it did, I wasn't aware...what more could a bride ask for?! I would recommend Amber and The Madison Club to anyone looking for a wedding reception venue.

share. It was my privilege to work with such people while planning our wedding with the Madison Club. Emily Bowen is the kind of coordinator that you hope for when you're looking for a "go to" person to organize all of the details and she delivered in exemplary fashion. Emily relieved me of much of the planning anxiety that naturally occurs. She was always available and easy to reach to answer questions and explore ideas. It was clear that she cared as much about a Madison Club experience for our guests as we did and she came through like the champion planner that she is. The same goes for the staff the night of our wedding. Collectively, they created a truly magical experience. The service is exceptional, cuisine is 5 Star and the cake designed for us belongs on the cover of a magazine. The Madison Club is a storybook setting in the perfect location, steps from everything beautiful Madison has to offer. In one word, The Madison Club is "Perfection."

Unlike other venues who were only interested in details of your wedding, she actually made us feel like we were friends. She was also great about working with our budget. It made all the difference in the word while planning. Additionally the venue is beautiful and photographs extremely well! The food is delicious and doesn't taste like banquet food at all. erything turned out just perfect. The only 2 small issues we had the day of the wedding (turn down the a/c and move a guest dinner table) were taken care of within minutes. Emily is a wonderful person to work with and always put our best interests first. The only small negative was that we had too many people to fit in the same room for dinner, so any guests over 144 are sitting in-between rooms or in a 2nd room (with a limited view). That said, our guests didn't mind as they were closest to the bar :)

the Madison Club, since you have to become a member for one year to have your wedding there, which can be expensive, in addition to the reception costs. Reflecting now, the Madison Club is worth every penny and more!
The service we received working with Emily was FANTASTIC. Not only was she extremely responsive to all of our requests (email turnaround time was like 2 hours!), she was really dedicated to making our day feel like us. When she found out that our nephew, the ringbearer, liked orange soda, she made sure they had some stocked. When we asked if we could use the Madison Club for our ceremony rain back-up space, she agreed and said she would only charge us if we ended up using the space. Compared to other Madison venues, the packages they offer are quite reasonable, once all costs are considered (ex: the cake is included, which can be a couple thousand dollars elsewhere!). The venue was stunning and the people were fantastic. It didn't feel like we were "just another wedding." They put so much time and effort into making our wedding really reflect us. We are so glad we went with the Madison Club!

However, they were able to get me the food I wanted for a great price. Our appetizers and most of the food was great. The lamb was a little dry, and they didn't bring out steak knives until I asked for them. Overall, I was quite happy with my rehearsal dinner at The Madison Club.

The building itself is beautiful and elegant. We had floral arrangements and some other minimal decorations, but we really didn't need to decorate a lot because the venue itself was so attractive and ornate.
We got 10% off our total bill for booking our wedding outside of the peak wedding season, so that is something to think about. Overall, the service was really good. The wedding coordinator, Chastity Stanila was helpful in making sure all the necessary details were addressed and making me feel comfortable that everything would go smoothly on the day-of. The banquet staff was also polite and friendly.
