The Magnetics

The Magnetics were perfect at our wedding! They really put on a great show, but more importantly they were a pleasure to work with. They gave us the opportunity to customize our music, played a variety of music that pleased everyone, provided DJ services, and used quality equipment that sounded great. We were really happy with our experience! So many of our family & friends are still commenting on how much they enjoyed the live music and music they played during dinner service.

Bo and the rest of the band were amazing to work with, and they played an incredible set. We received nothing but compliments from our guests saying how much fun they had. It was easily the highlight of our night. I wouldn’t look anywhere else for live music.

Bo and the Magnetics were one of the best choices we made while planning our wedding. We knew that we wanted a live band, and the Magnetics were the perfect choice. They have a great list of songs to pick from, and they keep the dance floor full. Bo makes the whole process easy and is also so quick to respond to any question or request. They did a wonderful job MCing the beginning of the night and interacting with guests. They helped us curate a great playlist and people were constantly asking us where did we find this band. Where to even begin. The Magnetics kept the party going all night long at our wedding. Our guests raved about them all night and there were always people on the dance floor. We also used them for the ceremony music and that was so worth it - everything flowed smoothly and flawlessly. Bo kept us so involved in the music process so we felt very informed and confident in how the whole night was going to go.

The Magnetics are simply incredible! We had seen them perform at a local establishment, so when we first started looking for a wedding band the search began and ended with them! Bo was so easy and fun to work with, and the whole planning process was a breeze. Friends and family are still talking about the amazing band and how it was the best wedding band/DJ they've ever experienced. My husband and I couldn't agree more. This was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding and couldn't be happier!

The Magnetics did an amazing job at our wedding this past October. They kept everyone on the dance floor and did a great job putting together a set list that had a little bit of something for everyone -- from our friends to our parents' friends. We can't recommend them enough!

My wife and I are so happy we had The Magnetics perform at our wedding reception. The Magnetics are AMAZING. I met them at a bridal expo, and they blew all the other bands out of the water. Everyone was super friendly, charming and personable, like you've known them forever. That continued over emails when we were booking and throughout the planning phase. Bo was extremely helpful with package explanations, song recommendations, helping us plan the reception timeline, and they even learned the slow version of the song we wanted for our first dance (which was completely perfect, by the way)! Night of, they were absolutely fantastic. The dance floor was always packed and nobody ever stopped dancing. Our friends and family, 3 months later, still rave about how great our band was. I don't think I could speak more highly of the Magnetics.

By the far the best decision of our wedding was to hire The Magnetics. We needed to hire someone that could do both the ceremony and the reception. Bo and everyone in the band were absolutely AMAZING. Between the meetings before and the big day everything was so easy and organized. Not only do The Magnetics perform fun and exciting songs, but everyone in the band is so fun to have around that they made our wedding absolutely magical. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We had such a great experience with the Magnetics. Our venue said we had one of the best dance floors they’ve seen and I totally attribute that to the awesome set and vibe the Magnetics played! We didn’t even choose a set list and they were able to read our crowd and seriously nailed it. Bo was easy to work with during the planning process and the MC during the reception was great. They even helped with time management throughout the night. I would highly recommend them to every couple!

We hired The Magnetics for our outdoor wedding in late September. From the beginning, Bo made the process so much easier and tailored to our musical taste. He was very flexible and engaging, offering multiple suggestions that made the reception run much smoother. With so much on our plate planning for the wedding, it was great to know that entertainment planning was in good hands. During the reception The Magnetics put on a great show that had everyone dancing. They even learned and played our first dance song live with short notice from us. I would highly recommend The Magnetics if you want a great show that'll get your guests dancing!

The Magnetics are great!! Awesome communication from day 1 and very easy to work with. The music was awesome and they kept the dance floor full! The Magnetics were the perfect band for our wedding. The entire band was so incredibly kind, calm, and they helped us throw quite the party. I absolutely loved working with them through the planning process and getting to dance the night away with my new hubby that day. And of course, the best part is that my 3-year old cousin is still talking about "Bobby with the band" giving her a high five. Such the wondeful band! Worth every penny.

The Magnetics were perfect! I would highly recommend a band at your wedding. They were easy to work with and great with communication. The band made sure we heard the songs we wanted and were super affordable. A band definitely brings the wedding to a whole new level.

The Magnetics were professional from start to finish, and put on one hell of a good time! Thanks to them, our wedding reception was a blast! My wife and I did a lot of research prior to selecting these guys, and they were highly recommended, and they did not disappoint. They sounded amazing! - somehow better than expected. At several points in the evening, I had to look over and make sure we didn't hire Huey Lewis and the News, or Michael Jackson, or Bruno Mars, or Johnny Cash. That's how much these guys rock! And they did a great job DJ-ing & MC-ing. They kept it fun for the entire family. Heck, they did such a good job, my wife and I saw some friends and family out on the dance floor that we've never seen dance before. They also did a great job sticking to our playlist during the cocktail hour. They truly helped make it a night to remember! Well worth the ticket price. Our October 2016 wedding was the FIFTH event that has proudly hosted The Magnetics for entertainment. As always, they didn't disappoint! They have a unique talent for feeling out a crowd to pick/play music to CREATE a mood. Their live performance is absolutely professional quality - with vocals and instruments perfectly in tune with the song, mood and surroundings. Their energy was contagious and when they were playing the divisions between friends/children/bride's side/groom's side was non-existent. They kept everyone up and dancing the entire night, and were the reason such a large number of our guests were still out on the dance floor 10 minutes after the wedding was supposed to end. I'm looking forward to the next family wedding so we can watch the Magnetics move a the crowd again, but while we wait for a few more proposals...make sure to snag them for your event! They really are the best!

The Magnetics were one of our favorite vendors to work with! They are an incredible band and play great music. They even had the guests we weren't sure would dance up and happy all night, and everyone had only great things to say about the band! They were also a dream to work with. Bo is on top of everything. He is super responsive, very organized, and has a lot of experience. We knew we were in good hands and I didn't worry once about anything relating to sound/music/MC-ing. They were even really kind and accommodating with sharing their equipment with my husband and his band, who have the tradition of subjecting their guests to a concert at each of their weddings ;). We would highly recommend The Magnetics - great music and great people, you can't go wrong!

The Magnetics made our reception hands down the best party possible. Bo made the whole planning experience simple as pie. He's incredibly organized and responsive, which is helpful when you're planning a huge party with a thousand other things to juggle! These guys are so good. Seriously good. Easily the best decision we made while planning the wedding. The Magnetics are not your typical wedding band. They are a fun, high energy rock band and that makes a huge difference. Our guests LOVED them. We were told multiple times by guests that it was the most fun they ever had at a wedding. We also agree that is was the coolest wedding we ever attended thanks to the party atmosphere these guys created. Not only are these guys rock stars, they are also true professionals. They kept us organized in the months/weeks/days leading up to the wedding and even coordinated everything during the wedding. You don't need an MC. Magnetics, thank you again for a special night. One week after our wedding, I was already recommending The Magnetics to a friend. They were fantastic. Bo was super easy to work with, and the band is so talented. We admittedly had a lot guests who aren't big dancers, but even those holding up the walls raved about the music. The guys even indulged a *very special* serenade by the groom at one point. They're focused on making sure everyone is having a good time, and they definitely don't disappoint. Thank you so much guys!!!

I can't say enough good things about The Magnetics. If you want your wedding to make the leap from "nice" to "awesome" then these guys are the way to do it. We had some fairly unique and difficult requests with song selection and timing of entrances, etc. and Bo and The Magnetics made everything run perfectly. The communication throughout the planning process and the wedding day was perfect and allowed us to have one less thing to worry about that evening. Like most couples, one of our biggest concerns was that our wedding wouldn't be "fun" and that nobody would dance. That was never an issue with The Magnetics. They played a perfect mix of music for a that kept dance floor packed the entire night. Everyone from 20-year old cousins to 90-year old grandparents were dancing for hours. During the reception and in the last few weeks after, at least 30 different people asked me "Where did you find this band? They're amazing!" These guys are true professionals and hiring them was the best decision we made in the wedding process.

The Magnetics are fantastic and so easy to work with. They are professional, but fun with a great stage presence. It was so nice to have so many guests tell me how much they loved The Magnetics. They are so versatile and there was something for everyone's music tastes. Bo really takes the time to learn the couple's musical preferences and build a specific set list. I highly recommend them. They play lots of shows around KC and my new husband and I can't wait to see them again.

The Magnetics made our day so special. They were great to work with leading up to the wedding and listened so well to the vibe we wanted to create for the reception. The dance floor was packed the whole night, and everyone was raving about them afterwards. They played a great variety of music that people of all ages enjoyed.

I knew this band would make our reception something fun and memorable, and they did not disappoint! They played our June 18th wedding at Arrowhead Yacht Club in Lake Winnebago and they were a huge hit. Lost track of how many guests asked about them. Perfect mix of songs kept our guests dancing. Bo was exceptional to work with, very responsive-- went the extra mile to coordinate with our wedding planner. Great value, and if you are debating at all--don't, just book them. Live music (especially from a band this talented) really makes the party something special. As one of our guests said, "This is the first wedding I've been to where I wanted to stay the entire time!" Mission accomplished.

I can't say enough about this band. On 05/28/2016 at Fresh Air Farms this band was outstanding. The guest wouldn't stop raving about them. They are so accommodating to the needs of the couple. The Magnetics were an awesome decision. I originally had booked a DJ and then heard them play at another event. I promptly cancelled my DJ and booked them. They were awesome to work with and their performance was amazing. From the moment they started playing, the dance floor was full and it was full until the very end. Book them! Not to mention, they are reasonably priced. One of the best bands in KC by far.

We recommend you hire the Magnetics!! Bo and the rest of the band are a fun and talented crew. Bo met with us weeks before the ceremony to hammer out all the details, which was really helpful for us to set things up exactly like we wanted. Planning a wedding when you're not located in that city can be challenging. The Magnetics were able to accommodate from afar and were amazing to work with. By far the easiest wedding vendor experience that we had! I have no complaints and would HIGHLY recommend The Magnetics to all future brides. It was easy to put trust into The Magnetics to make our wedding reception a great experience for all guests (even though we never met in person until the reception!).

We loved working with The Magnetics!! They were absolutely amazing during the reception - with both the live music and the DJ service. We've even heard comments from several guests at how amazed they were that you couldn't even tell whether songs were being played by the band or by the DJ - they were just that great! They also kept the dance floor packed with song choices that people knew and wanted to dance to. We wanted our reception to be a celebration, and The Magnetics made that possible. My husband had very few things he insisted on for our wedding and having a live band was one of them. The Magnetics took our ceremony and reception to the next level. Yes, it was expensive (as is every other band), but it was completely worth every penny. People continually compliment how fun our wedding was and how great the band was. All of our guests, young and old, were out on the dance floor enjoying the tunes the whole night. Bo is extremely easy to work with and very communicative. I felt at ease through the entire process knowing they would take care of everything. These guys are great people and great musicians and we can't thank them enough.

Our wedding reception would have been lame without The Magnetics! They rocked all night long and the guests LOVED them. I received more compliments on the band than anything else! Throughout the booking process Bo was very polite, easy to work with, and was very prompt in returning emails. Wow we couldn't have been more pleased with our choice for our daughters wedding reception! The band is great! Played exactly the music we wanted to hear and were so awesome to work with!I spent much time on line looking for a band that played the kind of music we wanted and the time paid off. Bo was so prompt to answer my request for booking information and everything was a breeze up to and through all the planning and night of reception. I would recomend them to everyone! After seeing The Magnetics around KC, my wife and I knew we would love for them to play at our wedding in Nebraska. Easily, hands-down, it was the best decision we made for the big wedding! The one thing we wanted was a live band, and these guys rocked it all night long. With all the other big decision making for the wedding, this part was easy. We had them emcee and play which worked very smooth all night. Bo had met with us about a month before the wedding to finalize the timeline and list. He was super organized and professional. He even let us email him our first song about three days before the wedding, because we couldn't decide. Kyle sang our first dance song acoustic and it sounded perfect. The band was very flexible, easy to communicate with, and did their job well during the big day to make it hassle free for us! We are still getting compliments on how much fun our band was 2 months later. Hopefully they aren't booked for 5 year anniversary! Matt and Sam

The Magnetics were absolutely fantastic for our wedding day! From the beginning stages of planning, Bo was super helpful with arranging times to meet so we could see the band perform, providing a playlist of the bands sets, the different packages they offered, etc. After we booked the Magnetics for our big day, they were always quick to respond with any questions or needs we had, helped us to plan a timeline for our reception, and helped to keep us on track with things running smoothly the day of. Kyle did the DJ portion in-between sets for the band, and was so great at keeping our reception running smoothly for all of our guests to enjoy! The set list of songs they play is wonderful, and appealed to all of our guests and kept our dance floor packed! We had so many compliments on what an amazing band they are, and our reception was a complete success! The Magnetics also provided our ceremony sound, which turned out wonderful as well. I would recommend this band to any bride & groom looking for the perfect DJ/sound for their reception and/or ceremony-the feel this band gives to your reception is incredible! You know you've hired an awesome band for your wedding when guests are still talking about them post wedding! The Magnetics were so amazing to work with. They know how to run receptions and can even help get your timeline in order. The playlist they have for wedding includes a wide variety of old and new. There is pretty much something for everyone! If you want to hear a sample set, check them out at the Levee. I highly recommend them for an reception and any event. We really hope to hire them again for a future event.

One of the greatest wedding decisions we made was to have a band. The Magnetics were an awesome group of guys – completely versatile, talented, and fun! Our reception dance floor was PACKED and our guests are still talking about them. My hubby and I danced so much that our legs were sore for days and we also sang along to almost every song. We hired them to do an acoustic set during cocktail hour prior to our ceremony too - which our guests said was amazing. They provided all DJ services for dances and breaks. Very professional, easy to work with, and super in-tune to their audience. The Magnetics were so much fun and definitely put our wedding in a different category.

Not only are they extremely responsive and easy to work with, but The Magnetics also have an incredible ability to play a variety of songs that keep the atmosphere energetic. Our reception was absolutely amazing because of them. The dance floor was packed throughout the night, and almost every guest has commented on how great the band was – several have even requested their contact information! In fact, our guests loved them so much that everyone was chanting “one more song” at the end of the night. One of my favorite moments was when my groom lost his ring on the dance floor (after dancing up quite a sweat). After noticing everyone frantically searching for the ring, The Magnetics were able to adjust the music on the spot, toning it down (into kind of a breakdown/interlude) and playing along as we all searched. Once the ring was found, the music immediately picked up and everyone was celebrating! It was amazing! It was such a perfect reaction by the band that some of our guests thought the whole thing was staged. But they’re just that good! I’ve heard a couple of other Kansas City wedding bands, and The Magnetics are by far the best. Only at my own wedding have I seen so many people dance. Book The Magnetics! You will have a truly memorable night.

We love The Magnetics! We'd seen them a few times at local bars in Kansas City, so we knew before hiring them for our reception that they were talented musicians that play a wide variety of music appealing to all ages. Bo is really easy to work with, and Kyle's emceeing helped the flow of the evening move seamlessly. What an amazing night! The one thing my husband wanted at the reception was a live band. We researched our options in KC and previewed The Magnetics at Fuel before we signed a contract. We liked them because they had a wide variety of songs and didn't always play the typical wedding songs, but still great hits that got people dancing. People kept coming up to us and telling us how they loved the band and how did we find them. We had the night of our lives and our guests had a fun night due to The Magnetics performance. They were easy to work with and listened to what we envisioned for our wedding and we had a blast!

One of our favorite decisions we made for the wedding was to choose a band that had fun music that WE liked (not just the standard top 40 stuff). We had seen these guys play before and were delighted to learn they did weddings. Bo responded quickly to all my emails/inquiries, they were flexible, fun and a seriously fabulous value to boot. They were our emcees, kept time, and were really fun to work with. Our venue said it was the best band reception they had had, and many of our guests commented on how great they were. They even helped with our ceremony audio. Full service! Highly recommend them :)

Having The Magnetics play at our wedding was one of the first decisions we made after getting engaged because we have watched them play several times at bars in the area. They were really easy to work with- we met with Bo a couple weeks before to map out the night and pick songs. His organization and knowledge from past weddings really put us at ease. The actually wedding was awesome. They did a great job emceeing and were flexible with last minute changes and requests. We had one guest say he and his wife stayed 45min later than planned because they liked the band so much. Great decision to book them!

You can't go wrong with the Magnetics!!!!! At first while searching for a local band in KC was a little worried because there were not many options....saw they were local and got into contact. We were invited to local show they were playing, and knew after first song they were going to be our band. Easy to talk with, they know their way around weddings. Answer every question we had, could do everything we asked. They played acoustic at the ceremony and then live at reception. No need to search for a band at your wedding.....go with the Magnetics. They play to any crowd, kids from age 5 to adults 60+ years were on the dance floor. Would use them again for an event hands down!!!! Thad and Monica

I had heard them play a friend's wedding 6 years and have been waiting ever since for my own. They were incredibly professional, always promptly returned emails/answered questions, and genuinely cared about what we wanted from our experience. Very easy to work with and great about communication-even throughout the night to make it the experience that we wanted. Most importantly, they are terrific performers and played a great variety of songs that we had people of every musical background constantly asking who they are. They are the best!!!

Where do I start? There are not enough GREAT things to say about this band! The Magnetics have performed at 3 of our family's weddings and we plan to keep the tradition going! They are incredibly professional, organized and accommodating. They were able to provide every song request I had, and they truly understood how much the meaning of the music mattered to me, from the ceremony, to the cocktail hour and especially the reception. I can't tell you how many compliments I got from my guests ALL night long on how AMAZING the band was. All of our friends and family from both sides were on the dance floor the entire night. Their talent, professionalism and entertainment are hands down, outstanding. They provided everything we needed, including a microphone for our officiant. As the Bride, I rested assured that they had everything under control. They helped make our wedding day perfect - if you want an AWESOME band to play at your event....you want The Magnetics :)
