We loved our custom cake from The Makery! It was so beautiful and looked exactly like what my husband and I wanted. The flavors are amazing, we went with pink champagne, and every guest was talking about how great it was! We cannot recommend The Makery Cake Co. enough!

The Makery did such a fantastic job with our wedding cake! We had a vision of what we wanted the cake to look like and the flavors we wanted - The Makery was able to make it happen! They were great to work with and were able to make our vision come to life! Plus the cake was the BEST cake I have ever had in my life (lemon cake with cream cheese filling and buttercream frosting, YUM!). We had lots of extra cake leftover (on purpose) and had every intention to freeze some for our one year anniversary, but the cake was so good that we ate it all already!! We went into our appointment with NO idea of what exactly we wanted our wedding cake to entail. The Makery offered so many different flavors and combos to choose from for our tasting. After making a rough of the design, they sent a few different design options and let us have the final say. The cake was so moist and delicious. We got both cake and cupcakes for our guests. The only issue we had, was not eating enough cake at our wedding! Thankfully, they offer a separate and full honeymoon cake to be eaten after the actual wedding AND an anniversary cake on your one year anniversary. I highly recommended them - they did NOT disappoint!

We first consider The Makery because my husband is allergic to nuts and we loved that they are a nut-free bakery. We loved their tasting and design sessions and were thrilled with the final product. Not only did our wedding cake look stunning, but it was some of the best cake we’ve ever eaten. We loved having the honeymoon cake to take with us after the reception, and cannot wait to pick up our anniversary cake next year!

The Makery was so easy and fun to work with! They brought our vision to life, which was a mini replica of our dog taking a bite out of the bottom of the cake. Not only was it gorgeous, but we got SO many compliments on it (and the way it tastes of course). The tasting was also such a fun part of the wedding planning process. I would recommend The Makery for all of your cake needs!

The Makery captured our vision for our cutting cake and cupcakes after referencing some pictures. The tasting was also very helpful in helping us decide on our flavors. Or gusts really enjoyed the cupcakes and my husband I really enjoyed the honeymoon cake!

We got a wedding cake and a groom's cake from the Makery and they were absolutely delicious (and beautiful)! I have had many guests mention how good the wedding cake was and am really looking forward to our anniversary cake! The planning process was also very easy. The Makery took our custom design request for our groom's cake and ran with it - it looked amazing! If you have a chance to do a cake tasting with the Makery, you'll be hooked!

Cakes were truly tasty! We couldn't have asked for a better set with the tasting and how the cakes turned out. We had our own for the sweetheart table, then each table had their own as well. Our only minor complaint is they delivered an hour late causing some confusion with drop off and it said Wilson/Rice Wedding on the cakes, but our wedding was Wilson/Sul wedding which also called some confusion when we tried to pick up the honeymoon cake and sweetheart cake. However, other than that they were great, friendly, and so tasty!

Our wedding cake was fabulous! Please book The Makery for all your cake needs. First, the process of planning our wedding cake was easy and the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. My husband and I decided on a three layer cake, different flavors to each layer, and a combination of two different cake designs. It came out perfect and GORGEOUS! Not to mention the cake was so good that there was none left! All our guests enjoyed our cake and some even came back for seconds or thirds. My husband and I also received a cake to come home with after our wedding and it was delicious! We can't wait for our 1 year anniversary cake. I highly, highly, highly recommend booking with The Makery Cake Co. I'll be calling them soon to commission a Birthday Cake soon.

Delicious cake that looked amazing! Of all the cake vendors we researched, The Makery stood out because they really focus on large event cakes and do them so well. They worked with us to customize our wedding cake perfectly. Highly recommend!

After talking to a guest the day after the wedding, I asked if she went under or over 2 cupcakes. Her reply was, I had 3 and slice of cake. The flavors were all amazing! It was also fun that they provide a honeymoon cake! :)

This cake is DELICIOUS and we are so so thankful we went with The Makery for our wedding day! They even sent us away with a small honeymoon cake to enjoy once the craziness of the wedding was over. Did I mention how yummy it was?

We loved our cake for our wedding in 11/2021. Our initial consultation with Dez went so great and she was very receptive to what we were looking for. Delivery was on time the day of and the cake looked even better than we had imagined it would. We would definitely recommend the Makery for future brides and grooms for their wedding day.

Amazing cake vendor! The tasting was wonderful and we learned so much! The makery staff took such great care of us even when we had no idea of what we were looking for! We were able to get 3 different flavors for our 4 tired cake and they were so flexible and helpful! The frosting flavors and freshness water just off the charts! Our guests raved about the cake! In case you were curious we good yellow cake with raspberry and lemon curd, red velvet with raspberry curd, and vanilla chocolate chip cookie dough with vanilla and chocolate mousse. All with cream cheese frosting. It was amazing! Also they provide a honeymoon cake because sure enough we did not have a chance to eat our cake at the venue! Overall they were amazing knowledgeable and great to work with. I would highly recommend to anyone!

I had just over a month to plan our wedding. Bobby was very responsive to questions we had, and the cake samples were wonderful. The cost of the cake was high (we had a two tier cake serving just over 30 people). I am giving them a three star rating due to events that occurred the day of the wedding. When I made our reservation, the vendor asked for a venue contact. There was no context as to what the contact was for however. My venue did not assist me in any of my wedding planning. Our cake was to be delivered at 2:30 on our wedding day. The florist coordinated her delivery time so should could place the flowers on the cake. Our wedding was to take place between 3:30 and 4. The cake arrived at 4:00. Evidently there was an incident on the way to the venue. The vendor called the venue and told the contact that there was no damage to the cake (there was - by the time I saw it, it was leaning), and that they would only be late by 20 minutes or so. The venue was also told to say nothing to me. Meanwhile, my mother, our officiant and I were trying to track down the cake. Our officiant called the vendor and was told there was no damage to the cake, and it would be there shortly - this was at 3:50 (note they told our officiant not to tell me, she put them on speaker phone and this was the first I learned of there being an issue). When the cake arrived, my mother ran from where I was getting ready to the reception area to deal with the cake - she missed being able to help me get into my dress (thank you to my photographer and makeup artist who assisted me). We had an outdoor wedding and were hurrying to get to the ceremony location in order to avoid being rained on. The flowers were sort of thrown on the cake, with bigger blooms pushed into the back where the worst of the damage was. Following the weekend of our wedding I called and spoke to the owner. Never did the vendor reach out to me. The owner did validate what my venue contact told me. The details of what caused the incident were inconsistent (I was told three different things). Thankfully, there were no injuries. The owner has said that moving forward they will request a day of event contact who knows what’s going on, and that they will provide follow up status calls to keep the contact informed (my venue was contacted only once). In the end the cake was delicious, if a bit messy (the fondant was the only thing holding it upright, it fell apart when the back was cut into). Unfortunately, my mother missed being able to help me get ready, and we did get rained on as we were dealing with locating the cake and ensuring it’s arrival when we were supposed to be at the ceremony location.

The Makery really knocked it out of the park when it came to our wedding cake! We knew this was the one because they made DELICIOUS tasters, not just for the normal cakes but also for the gluten free ones! If you've never tasted a gluten free cake, let me just tell you that they're most often dry and cardboardy. Not this one!! Mmmmmmm. And on top of that they made it sooooo pretty! We're so excited to come and get our anniversary cake next year (they make it fresh yay!).

We were very happy with how our cake turned out, just like our vision! Everyone said it was just delicious. I barely ate any cake during the reception, so I was so happy to have the small honeymoon cake to take back to our room afterward!

We loved our wedding cake from the makery! I have a nut allergy so I almost never can eat anything from bakeries, so it was awesome to find a nut free bakery so I didn't have to worry about it! We had a covid wedding, so we were looking for a really small cake, and they made it look like an elaborate cake anyway, just in miniature! I wanted to still have the feeling of having a full size wedding cake without having all the extra cake we didn't need, and so we had them make us a miniature 2 tier cake, and it turned out great! They also accommodated our vegan guests with vegan cupcakes which they said were delicious! We had a bit of a miscommunication on the day of about delivery schedule, but their customer service was great, and they remedied the situation immediately, and delivered straight to our venue instead of to our house, right on time. Our honeymoon cake was also a very sweet bonus, since we were so rushed at the wedding we hardly got any cake, and we demolished it far too quickly after the wedding. Can't recommend the Makery enough, they delivered on all counts!

Our wedding cake from The Makery was the single most talked-about thing at our reception. We felt like we had a tall order for them - we wanted a 3-teir cake with a large dragon climbing up the side. We had a custom cake-topper made so that we could "fight" off the dragon. From the initial consultation, they were professional and we felt confident they could accomplish this. When the cake arrived it was exactly what we hoped for, down to every detail. Every single person and vendor commented on how amazing the cake looked (caterer, planner, DJ, String quartet, florist....). Not only was the cake beautiful to look at, but the pink champagne and vanilla buttercream flavors were divine.

The Makery created the best wedding cake I have ever seen. I selected one of the cakes they had in there books and then customized it to my wedding vision. So many guests complimented the cake on how amazing it looked and the taste. We were able to do half the cake as funfetti and the other half as vanilla. One thing I absolutely love that they do is instead of giving you the top piece for your anniversary later, they make you a whole new one a year later. They also gave us a miniature honeymoon cake that we enjoyed in the hotel later. The team was super friendly and understanding. I highly recommend this company!

We worked with The Makery Cake Company for our wedding and it was a really great, easy process. We first went to try a few of the flavors and when we unanimously agreed on one of them, we decided to move forward with a simple design. We were able to easily coordinate on the details and there was no hitch in getting the cake on our wedding day. It looked beautiful and tasted great, and all of our guests enjoyed it as well!

We got the most amazing groom's cake from The Makery Cake Co! My husband loved his Millennium Falcon cake so much and he was so excited when he saw it in person. We also got tons of compliments from our guests on both the design and the amazing taste - chocolate cake with raspberry filling. It was a rousing success!

I had the bright idea to reimagine my favorite winter drink into our wedding cake and I was so excited when the Makery said they’d be happy to work with me to make my dream cake happen! However, I had no idea how absolutely delicious it was going to be. Through several emails back and forth (out of state bride here), we came up with a game plan for my London Fog Cake. The London Fog drink is steamed milk, earl grey tea, and lavender and vanilla syrups. For the cake we decided on a vanilla cake, earl grey buttercream frosting, and an optional lavender drizzle (my sister is allergic to lavender and I wanted to be sure she could still eat cake). When we went to do our tasting, we were told that the buttercream was a hit and they weren’t wrong. All of the cakes we tried that day were scrumptious, but the clear winner was the London Fog. We knew we were in good hands as far as design goes. I was a little worried about the top tier of the cake being difficult to eat since it was covered in rock candy, but it was surprisingly tender (if that’s the right word) and the fondant roses were equally delicious (even for guests who aren’t fondant fans). We were sent home with a small round cake that we got to enjoy for NYE (we froze and thawed it). It was just as delicious as our wedding cake and such a nice way to relive our wedding at home.

The Makery is an amazing place where the staff are knowledgeable and the experience is stress free and fun. We went in for a private tasting and sat with the baker and coordinator and developed the wedding cake of our dreams. I personally love to bake and debated on making my own wedding cake because most wedding cakes I have seen are beautiful but bland. I assure you the Makery has cakes with AMAZING flavor. My guest all loved it including my baker family members. Their skill with decorations is flawless, and their service is unmatched. When you select your cake they include a honeymoon cake which you and your husband take and devour after the wedding day. They also give you a 1 year anniversary cake on top of it. I highly recommend the Makery for your wedding and will be getting plenty of birthday cakes and weekend treats from there as well.

The Makery did a fantastic job with our wedding cupcakes and cake. They got the cake exactly how we wanted. Our guests loved the variety of flavors they had. They were so reasonably priced as well. Would highly recommend for any event.

We loved the cake that Makery provided us for our wedding!! I asked for just a very simple white cake with a horizontal design. We were able to choose three flavors for our sheet cakes and cutting cake. We choose funfetti (my personal favorite), pink champagne, and chocolate. I heard especially positive things about the pink champagne cake. There was plenty of cake leftover and they sent us home with a honeymoon cake to enjoy by ourselves after the wedding. They also provide an anniversary cake so we don’t have to eat frozen cake a year from now. We had a very positive experience with Makery!

The only complaint I have is that I wish I still had cake to eat, 3 weeks later! It was so good! We did a naked funfetti cake, nothing crazy, nothing over the top and it was absolutely incredible! Everyone is still raving about it! It looked exactly like the picture I showed them, and was even better in person! My parents ended up with the rest of the cake, and my husband and I went home with a "honeymoon cake!" All for us! We finished the whole thing that night! Can't wait for another event to have them bake for us again!

The Makery was amazing in every way for our wedding!! We heard about them from my sister-in-law, who had used them for her wedding. We did not book our cake until a month and a half before the wedding-- and it was a breeze to get everything squared away with The Makery. We went in on a Sunday, their open tasting day, and had a few samples of their cakes. They were ALL delicious and we ended up going with a classic vanilla with their royal buttercream frosting. My mouth is drooling just remembering it! Simple, but absolutely delicious. At this tasting, the owner, Dez, was the one to arrange our booking herself! She was so kind, approachable, and professional. She is truly passionate about what she does, her team, and the company they have created! The Makery truly created a gorgeous and yummy cake for us-- as well as a "honeymoon" cake to take to our hotel that evening! These extra details made us feel well taken care of and we could not be more grateful. Go with The Makery for your cake, you won't be disappointed!

The Makery did our wedding cake and I was floored when I saw the cake at the reception. They tell you that it might not be exactly like the picture, of course, but it came out even better than the picture. Plus it was the most delicious cake ever! The Makery pulled it off perfectly and all of our guests loved the look and taste of the cake. I don’t know how they do it, but they are definitely the best.

The makery was fantastic! Our wedding cake was beautiful, delicious and exactly what I wanted! They were so easy to work with, their prices were very reasonable, and they went out of their way to make it perfect for us! They delivered the cake early, and brought the cake platter, topper, and flowers with them and set it all up. This truly saved us! INCREDIBLE cakes! We just had a small cake for our wedding, and we received so many complements!! I highly recommend this little shop, the cake here is moist and so decadent. They can do anything simple or extravagant. Plus, you get a honeymoon cake and one for your anniversary!

We just had our tasting. We are looking for a four tier cake covered with sugar flowers. We left feeling as though the Makery lacked the technical experience to carry out our vision. Their sample book showed either obtusely thick or flat, lifeless flowers. Their flavorings (lemon, raspberry) were clearly not homemade. The frosting, we tried three varieties, were also clearly bought in bulk. This may be acceptable for a birthday, however, we require a sense of cohesive elegance which we believe cannot be executed here. Our recommendation would be to have the chefs attend pastry school and not cut corners with the store bought items which make something like a wedding cake less than memorable.

The Makery was fantastic! Of the tastings we went to, they had the most variety and best options for flavors, fillings, and frostings. They were very professional, let me change my order as the guest count changed, and checked in a couple times for confirmation of what I wanted and to be certain of delivery time. The cake was gorgeous! Exactly what we wanted and envisioned. Would absolutely recommend for anyone seeking wedding (or any other occasion) cake!
