I use the makeup hair & co for all my events! From my wedding back in 2019 to now my maternity photoshoot and baby shower! Caity is amazing at makeup! It always turns out flawless and I get so many compliments! Highly recommend the makeup hair & co! 10/10

It can be hard to find the right hair and makeup artist for your big day. Thankfully, in the age of Instagram, being able to see the final product makes a big difference. When scouting out different hair and makeup options for my wedding, I came across The Makeup & Hair Co. I chose them because 1) it was important for me to use vendors that were local and familiar with the area I grew up/was getting married (Bronx/Westchester) and 2) I loved the styles and looks on their Instagram! They were very fresh, natural and glamorous and I loved the way they showcased different aspects of the hair and makeup process on their Instagram: from trials to bridal prep to actual wedding photos showcasing the finished look. It really gave me a good idea of what they could do and see if it was a good fit for what I had in mind for my hair and makeup (vs. pre-social media where you’d call someone up and have no idea what their talents were, then have them leave you with 80’s hair and clown makeup!) Heather Adessa Spadaro is the CEO and primary contact. She’s very responsive via email once you submit an inquiry and touches base with you frequently leading up to your big day. I had originally scheduled a makeup trial in August 2021 - which unfortunately got washed away by Hurricane Henri - and she was in contact with me even before it seemed the weather would b ea problem to let me know that in case I had to cancel, I could let her know via email or text whenever and she’d be ready to reschedule if needed. Unfortunately, since I live in Seattle and was only in town over the summer for some wedding prep, I didn’t get to do a trial but she padded some extra time into my day-of just in case I wasn’t happy with the look or wanted to change things. My original booking was also for two separate stylists - one for makeup & one for hair - but she was luckily able to book me with Jackie for both services. Jackie arrived promptly on site and she was spectacular. I showed her pictures of the hair and makeup styles I had in mind and I couldn’t have been more blown away by the results - especially again, not having had a trial before and her coming to me sight unseen. We tested a lipstick that I wanted to wear which turned out to be too light and she gave me some great options as an alternative. She also gave great recommendations for placements for hair accessories & a birdcage veil I planned to wear that day - everything was perfect! I looked and felt so beautiful and I couldn’t have been happier with how my makeup and hair turned out!

I'm so glad that I chose Heather and her team at The Makeup + Hair Co for my wedding! I had a large group (14 women) getting hair and makeup done, and Heather arranged it all so that we didn't have to start getting ready at the crack of dawn. All my bridesmaids were so happy with how their hair and makeup came out. I also had Anais do my hair and makeup for the rehearsal dinner and she was amazing - she really took my guidance for the glam styling that I wanted, and did such a wonderful job.

Heather and her team at the Makeup + Hair Co. were absolutely amazing on our wedding day! The team showed up early and got right to work. For my group of 13, we had Caity & Heather for makeup and Kristina & Claudia for hair. The team was super efficient and worked quickly while making each one of my ladies look as gorgeous as ever. Kristina and Claudia were awesome with our two young flower girls, who loved every second of being pampered. Even on a hot July day, our hair and makeup stayed perfect all night. I worked with the Makeup + Hair Co for my bridal shower on Saturday 8.14. Anais and Caity did my my hair and makeup for the day and it was absolutely perfect. Both Anais and Caity were amazing!! I had raving reviews all day and so many text messages after saying how great the hair and makeup was! I am so looking forward to working with the Makeup + Hair Co again for my wedding in October!!

The Makeup + Hair Co. did my hair for my wedding on 7.30.21. Heather was such a pleasure to work with throughout the pandemic. We actually ended up moving our original date from 2020 and she made it so easy to change to our new date. Kristina was our hair stylist on the day and was absolutely fabulous. I ended up wanting to change my look from my trial and it turned out better than I could have imagined. Everyone in my bridal party was so happy with their hair and they all looked beautiful! She had us ready in the allotted time, which made my day much less stressful. My hair stayed perfect the entire day, especially given the fact that we were on a windy golf course! I would definitely recommend using them for your wedding day needs!

Nightmare! Makeup & Hair Co. backed out 3 weeks before my wedding over the venue's basic insurance form. They wouldn’t consider any of the work-arounds we offered (which were at additional cost to me) and then tried to keep my deposit. I should’ve trusted my gut when the owner was several hours late to every planning phone call. Brides, save yourself the stress. You deserve better.

I just had my wedding this past weekend and I cannot begin to describe how amazing it was to work with Heather, Jackie and Daniela. Heather was so accommodating and supportive when I had to move my wedding twice during Covid. Communication was seamless from the time of my trial to my wedding day. My stylists Jackie (hair) and Daniela (makeup) were amazing and did exactly what I wanted. My bridesmaids looked amazing as well and we all received so many compliments on our hair and makeup throughout the night. I highly recommend the Hair and Makeup Co for your wedding!

The Makeup + Hair Co was AWESOME. I had a large bridal party and we needed hair & makeup done for 13 people in time for an earlier church ceremony. Heather made it SO easy & seamless… she provided enough people on her end so we didn’t have to wake up at the crack of dawn and all of the hair & makeup artists were on-time, professional & talented. Everyone felt beautiful and my expectations were beyond exceeded. Would highly recommend!

The Makeup & Hair Co. did my and my sister's (my MOH) hair and makeup for my wedding. We could not have been happier! The trial experience (with the same ladies whom we used for the day of) was fantastic and helped me figure out what I liked and what I wanted to tweak for wedding day. For wedding day, the ladies arrived at our house 15 minutes early and had us looking fabulous in no time! I don't really wear a lot of makeup, so I didn't really have a clear idea of what I wanted. I was also very nervous about it looking too heavy. It was not a problem at all. I felt like I looked like myself--just my very best self! They also used excellent hygiene in keeping brushes clean and mixing the makeup. Absolutely recommend!

Absolutely amazing! While I didn't use their services for a wedding, I did use them for my son's Bar Mitzvah and they were fantastic. On time, professional and the quality of work is super! I 100% recommend and will use again in the future.

Heather and Glo are amazing! They were able to help me out at last minute and I am so so thankful!!! On the Monday before my wedding I found out that one of the makeup artists I had hired was in an accident and wouldn’t be able to work. I was in a bit of a panic! Finding someone last minute before a holiday weekend seemed impossible. I remembered one of my friends raving about Glo but the website said they were closed. I asked my friend if she had any point of contact, I emailed Heather, and two hours later we were on the phone. Luckily, Nadia was available to do the makeup for my bridesmaid. I was so relieved! Nadia was great, professional, and super efficient.

September 29, 2019 was my bridal shower and I can't stop raving how amazing my makeup looked. Family and friends were absolutely flawed by how stunning of a job she did. What a wonderful experience. The initial trial had me completely convinced this was by far the best place to use for my wedding day. Heather was very accommodating throughout this process and made it seamless. Katie who did the makeup for myself and my bridal shower did such an amazing job. She is so talented and versatile. Bravo to this vendor. I would recommend this place a thousand times over.

I couldn't have asked for a better experience than the one I had with Glo Beauty Bar. Caity and Kristina were detailed, thorough, professional, and made our whole getting ready experience so smooth and fun! I was most worried about hair because all of the women in my family have pretty wild, curly hair, but Kristina was a total pro and worked with all of our unique hair textures and curls and made all of us look gorgeous. She also took my day-of changes in stride and perfectly executed my hair so that it stayed all night long. Caity is insanely talented and I almost cried when I saw how she was able to transform my mom and grandma, who really never wear makeup. She made sure to work with everyone's makeup preferences and matched everyone's makeup perfectly to their dress styles and aesthetics. I was on the fence about getting professional hair and makeup, but Glo's service and professionalism made me so happy that I decided to use professionals. Also their prices are very reasonable and their salon in Mamaroneck provided a fun, stress-free and reassuring environment for my trial.

Glo Beauty Bar is great! Heather was easy to work with, accommodating, and answered all of my questions. Heather made setting everything up very easy. She and everyone at Glo were friendly. Kristina and Claudia did a wonderful job with the hair for my bridesmaids! They were friendly and did great work. The girls looked beautiful and their curls held! Kristina even did some touch ups for some girls before she left. They really went above and beyond! I will be recommending Glo to others and would definitely use them again!

Just got married on 5/19/19. Caity did my and my bridal parties makeup and Kristina did our hair. Both ladies were amazing right from my trial at the very beginning to the end on my wedding day. I loved the way I looked and felt and so did my girls and we got tons of compliments!! Heather even came to the hotel while we were getting ready to take behind the scenes shots. Also want to give a shout out to Gabby for always slaying my hair color. I LOVE this salon and recommend it to anyone currently planning their wedding! I will continue to go here for my hair color and will use them to get makeup done for future events!

I recently got married and used Glo Beauty Bar. Pros: The makeup artist and hairdresser that did my bridesmaids and myself were AMAZING! The makeup artist and hairdresser were very professional, skilled, and were actually really fun to spend time with and chat with! Cons: I only gave 2 stars because the morning of my wedding, I didn't get quality customer service (from management, not from the stylists). And it was pretty pricey for the services. It really goes a long way if a vendor has great customer service and does their best to be NICE and CALMING when any issues arise. At my hair/makeup trial I specifically told them I wanted everyone to get the wedding day hair/makeup done at the Salon. Management seemed to understand and quickly gave me a lengthy/wordy contract and discussed what each part meant. So I went ahead and signed it. Over the next few months as bridesmaids kept flip-flopping on which services they wanted, I kept having to update the salon on the total numbers and they were fine with that--- But each time you have to then print, sign, and scan/fax the updated contract back again and they tell you that you have 24 hours to do this?! But finally the official contract was submitted. I saw my Venue was written on the contract but assumed they needed that information maybe for marketing purposes or whatnot. Week of the Wedding, I didn't get any personal phone call confirming the appointment with details, but got a very brief email saying that the stylists were looking forward to seeing me. Then I received a text the night before the wedding saying "this is to confirm your appointment at Glo Beauty Bar". So I thought all was good. So morning of wedding when I am most stressed--- I get everyone to the salon just on time (because there are LATE FEES if you arrive late). To my surprise, we were greeted with a very unwelcoming and irritated look. And only a stern greeting of "What are you doing here? They are at the venue! It was in the contract!" Of course, we were very confused and only received another stern and irritated reply of "It was in the contract!!" So on the verge of stress and tears I didn't even want to converse with the person so I just turned around and walked out and told the bridesmaids to do so as well----so we raced in the car to get to the venue (which the venue had NO idea we were going to be using the bridal suite at 9:30am for a 4:30pm wedding). Luckily the venue was more than understanding and bent over backwards to calm us down and let us know it was okay and we can use the suite. -Overall, all of us thought the rude and unhelpful response to the confusing situation was extremely unnecessary and unprofessional. Yes, as a bride with a million other things going on, I guess I should have called to confirm specifics-- but when you are spending over 1000K on services, you'd hope they would be organized with the best customer service to do a courtesy for you and give a call to confirm the details---or at the VERY least react better when there is confusion. A simple "I'm sorry there was a misunderstanding, they are at the venue-- see if the venue will let you go there and take your time getting there. Don't worry, everything will be fine!" would have gone miles. The bridal prices and prices for the bridesmaids were also extremely extorted and expensive. It was $240 for bride's hair and $240 for bride's makeup. Then $120 for bridesmaid hair and $120 for bridesmaid makeup. Not including tips

The ladies of Glo are the best to work with! From the moment I met Caity, I felt extremely at ease, and I knew I was going to be taken care of. Caity did my make-up for my engagement shoot, my bridal shower, and I was so excited to work with her on my wedding day. She carefully listened to all of my concerns and offered helpful advice and solutions. I felt so beautiful and it was in no small part because of her amazing talent. Catherine worked with the mom's and bridesmaids - they all couldn't stop talking about just how nice she was, and how happy they were with the way their hair turned out. The girls at GloBeauty made me and my girls feel and look amazing on my wedding day. GloBeauty was professional and was able to work with my hectic schedule as I planned my wedding from across the country. I was able to set up a makeup trial after hearing positive referrals from my local friends; after that I knew I was in the right place! Daniela did my wedding makeup and the trial so I knew exactly what I was getting. Everyone looked absolutely beautiful and I couldn't have been happier the way it all turned out. They were able to travel to my venue and got us ready so we didn't have to head into a salon. That really helped me on my day and knowing everything was set up was really stress relieving! These girls know what they're doing and come highly recommended. I will continue to pass along their name to other brides as they plan their big day.

Glo Beauty Bar was a pleasure to work with for my wedding day! I had a blowout and makeup done for my engagement shoot and knew I had to book them for my wedding. In addition to myself, they did hair and makeup for all of my bridesmaids (7) and both MOH and MOG. Everyone had a unique look and the stylists really listened to what each woman was looking for. I had my hair done by Catherine and makeup by Caity. Both are extremely talented and were easy to work with during trials and day of. Heather was my point of contact throughout the planning process and she is a pro! All of the Glo girls were highly professional and very responsive whenever I had any questions.

Glo did beautiful hair and make-up for myself and my bridesmaids (makeup from Daniela and hair from Kristina). I especially appreciated how focused they were on each of our specific preferences. For me I wanted a natural look since I don't wear much makeup normally, and both of them worked closely with me to make sure I was comfortable with everything. Thank you so much! Booking was an OK process. I had a bit of a hurdle initially-- the structure of their offerings, timing, and pricing for "come to you" didn't match with what I needed for the day, and the person in charge of coordinating seemed to think they couldn't deviate from the set rules and structure (which is fair, but stressful when I'm trying to get so many pieces for the wedding morning to align, and often need a bit of flexibility to make things work). But when I was there for the trial and spoke with the owner/manager, she was enormously helpful and accommodating! Everything worked great in the end!

I knew from my first (yes I had more than one!) trial that I wanted to work with Glo. Catherine is an expert at what she does and I couldn't be happier with how my hair came out on my big day! I had a large bridal party so Heather perfectly added on Claudia for hair as well. I thought all of my girls and my mom looked great! We also had our makeup done by Glo and Daniela made me feel fabulous! I loved my make up! Melissa also did makeup who made my girls look their best. Very happy with Glo!

Thank you thank you thank you Caity and Kristina for making me and my entire squad look and feel gorgeous on my wedding day. My mom and my husband's mom were glowing. All of the bridesmaids looked stunning. And I felt radiant as I headed to the venue to get married. The makeup lasted all day. My hair stayed in until the wee hours of the morning. Expert tip: if you can, get ready at the salon - you'll have more hands on deck. We were even EARLY! When does that even happen? I cannot say enough wonderful things about my entire experience with Glo. Bonus points to Glo for including gratuity in their pricing so there was no shuffling money around the morning of the wedding. Bravo!

My best friend's sister got married last summer and her wedding party hair and make-up was done by Glo and they all looked beautiful. I kept them in mind as I was booking everything for my big day. I started with a haircut by Cat, who was awesome! Keep in mind, my grandfather, my favorite barber and hairstylist, has been cutting my hair since I was a baby. I had never been anywhere else and couldn't even tell you the cost of a haircut. I have to admit, i was very nervous, but felt very comfortable in her chair. Cat did a fantastic job and after that, I was ready to book Glo for my wedding. I sat down with Heather who outlined the pricing, the day of timeline and all of my options. I had my hair and make-up trial back in February with Cat and Caity, respectively. I was so happy with the results! I had one more haircut a couple weeks before the big day and knew I had made the right decision! On September 9th, Cat, Caity and the glo team were at my house bright and early to get my 11 bridesmaids, a junior bridesmaid, my mom, my grandma and Me started on hair and make-up! They handled this big group in perfect time, with creative minds and with a perfect eye for what everyone wanted. Everyone's hair came out so perfect, and one more beautiful than the next. Some braids, some buns, some curls, but all beautiful!! Everyone wanted something a little different for makeup and they all came out exactly how they wanted. I was absolutely thrilled and excited to see everyone all finished!! The Glo girls were fantastic in every sense of the word and, albeit maybe against my grandfather's wishes, will continue to use Glo for my hair and make-up needs!

I first went to Glo Beauty for my engagement photos and since then I knew I wanted the team to be a part of my special day. From the bridal trials to the blow outs I needed for special events and hair and makeup for the bridal portraits the girls were great. My mom came up from Texas for my bridal portraits and she fell in love with the girls at Glo Beauty and decided she wanted her hair and makeup done by them, which is very rare because she is so picky :). I worked with Christina, Liz, Camille, and Heather and they were all excellent! On the day of the wedding there was a little bit of miscommunication with the arrival times, but the Glo Beauty team handled it very professionally and ensured me that all the girls would be finished on time, which they were (even a few minutes before schedule)! All my bridesmaids looked absolutely beautiful and when my sister decided she wanted to change her makeup Heather was able to adjust quickly to what she wanted and it looked awesome! I can not say enough about my own hair and makeup, it stayed the entire night. We did take outdoor pictures and the weather was not cooperating (very windy) however my hair didn't budge! I can't say enough about the Glo Beauty team, they were all a pleasure to work with from the beginning to the end :)!

great job. easy to work with. we were married in the catskills and despite the distance they showed up on time ready to work. the travel fee was reasonable. they were also one of the only salons I was able to find that did both clip in and tape in extensions that were then willing to travel to me for the wedding.

The Glo team are true hair and make up experts with a true specialty in weddings. They helped me, my mom and my bridesmaids look and feel our best for my wedding. Having them onsite was a huge part of me being able to relax all morning. Their recommendations helped us all make sure that we achieve the looks we wanted. They were honest about things that might not work so well and helped us look at the big picture (like how to consider parting your hair depending on what side you are standing). My bridesmaids, mother, and I got ready at Glo Beauty bar. I had my hair trial with Christina a few months before, who was very nice, patient, and helpful throughout. I decided after my trial to order extensions (I live far from my wedding venue so she had matched the color of my hair already at my trial). She had the extensions ready and had already pre curled them when I got there. The salon is small enough to feel intimate and they close it down for just the bridal party for a wedding, so we had a semi-private feel to getting ready. The makeup looked great and the ladies doing the hair were efficient at getting everyone done while also attentive to detail. A great experience. Also overall much more reasonably priced than anywhere else I looked, especially for the attention they give you.

Heather and her team did an amazing job to make sure my bridal party, moms and me looked our best for my wedding day. They traveled to us and set up shop as if we were in a salon. Catherine, the hair stylist, made every curl perfect and ensured my hair would last through the day. My makeup was flawless and lasted all day. All I needed was re-apply lip gloss all day. My group had the entire store to ourselves and we were able to set up a table with some breakfast and champagne. It was a great experience!
