Katrina is my favorite hair and makeup artist. I am a wedding photographer and I can't even begin to tell you how much easier she makes my job. She makes her clients look flawless....
If I were getting married, I would hire her without a doubt. Every bride that I have referred her to has loved their hair and makeup and everyone I have talked to about her has been really impressed with her work. I think she gets booked up fast for wedding season, so if she has your date available, I would book her as soon as you can!

In fact, I made a last minute decision to add hair and make up for the mothers, and she was able to accommodate it. It was after I booked Katrina, that I realized she actually did the hair and make up for one of my good friend's wedding for which I was a bridesmaid. My friend looked gorgeous in her wedding, and I knew I was in good hands with The Makeup Dolls.
They are exceptionally talented, and have an eye for bringing out the glamour and beauty in each individual. For my trial make up, Katrina recommended that I bring a photo of myself with my own make up on, so that she can make me look like a more beautiful version of myself. In the past, whenever I've gotten my make up done elsewhere, I never really liked it because it just didn't look like me. It was a version of what someone else thinks I should look like. Also, because I have single eyelids, most other make up artists didn't know how to deal with that. With Katrina, I LOVED my make up and I can't stop looking at myself in the mirror! She also knew what hair styles would work with my hair type. I brought photos of over eight hair styles that I couldn't decide on, and she was able to consult and pick out a hair style that I love, and works for me.
For my wedding day, Katrina was a joy to work with. She is a true professional, and knew exactly where to set up shop. She made me feel at ease on an otherwise hectic day, and gave me tips on how to keep my make up for the rest of the day. Katrina uses high quality professional make up that lasts the entire day. I didn't even have to do any touch up, she's that good. Katrina even mixed my very own lip gloss shade, and gave me some extra in a small jar in case I need it. I finished my hair and make up on time and was ahead of schedule. I can't thank her enough, for making me feel like a beautiful bride on one of the most important days of my life. I am so lucky to have found Katrina. If you're still reading this review, I highly recommend you book her now before it's too late!

For my wedding, I wanted old Hollywood style hair and makeup. I decided to grow out my thick Filipino hair to my waist. Katrina was able to style all of my hair into a gorgeous, opulent updo, there was no need for any extra hair accessories. My make up was flawless and lasted all night long.
I have never felt so glamorous in my entire life.

oment I met with her at my trial, she made me feel so at ease with her bright smile and warm personality. The make-up she uses lasted well into the night. She even supplies you with make-up to touch up throughout the night. She was on time, professional, and listened carefully when I told her the look I envisioned for my wedding day. And she delivered exactly that -- a natural, yet elegant look!
All of my bridesmaids also had their make-up done by her. They all looked stunning as well!

Additionally, Katrina's makeup applications come with false eyelash application, which adds an extra pop to the overall look.
Overall, I don't think I've ever looked as pretty as I did the day of my wedding, thanks to Katrina. Do yourself a favor and book her for your wedding! Although you will really have to book in advance, she books up early from what I understand.
