The Mansfield Barn is a tranquil countryside Vermont wedding venue in the town of Jericho, near Burlington, VT. The former "Irish barn" was bought by current owners Grant and Susan Allendorf, in the winter of 2014. After a significant renovation of everything from roofs and sills to floors and walls, the property opened its doors to newlyweds and their loved ones in 2016.

The new and improved Mansfield Barn followed the original building details to pay homage to the 1905 design. In addition, three new bathrooms, a bar area, and a large dance floor were added to transform the venue into one of Vermont's most sought-after wedding destinations. You and your partner can swap vows on the wonderfully manicured lawns in front of 200 of your nearest and dearest. With stunning views of Mount Mansfield in the background, feelings of romance, beauty, and seclusion are almost tangible. There are several gorgeous locations throughout the property for your wedding party pictures before moving inside the barn for a cocktail hour toast. You and your guests can raise a glass and say "cheers" before taking your seats for a magnificent reception dinner.
The Mansfield Barn and its grounds are yours exclusively throughout your stay. You are welcome to arrange a rehearsal time a day or two prior to ensure everything runs smoothly on the big day. After Grant’s founding and operating Supersounds Entertainment ( A DJ, Photo Booth, Videography, & A/V Rental Company) since 1978, we made the bold decision to purchase the property, formerly the Irish Farm, in 2016.

With our experience in the wedding industry, we are grateful to create a place for couples to host their dream weddings! We have worked with our preferred professional vendors for years, and it allows for a smooth easy planning process!!

ield Barn was the perfect medium. It has the quintessential red barn exterior and barn doors. A beautiful barn interior for the reception. A large willow for the cocktail hour, plenty of parking space, and a beautiful outdoor ceremony area. Not to mention the getting ready space below the reception area was perfect for the whole wedding party (bride and groom).
Grant was super responsive to my many questions, and always came across as happy and helpful. He was there the morning of to make sure the girls and I knew where to park and where to go. We did our wedding inside, because it had poured the night before and was still sprinkling that morning. Grant and his team made the change from outside to inside seamless for me and my husband, and still made it beautiful and special for all involved. Grant has thought of everything from parking, the flow of the ceremony to cocktail hour to reception, handicap accesibility (they have a golf cart for those that can't move around as well), prep areas, photo ops, and more. I can not reccomend this place, or these people enough.

our pictures there and they are stunning. Every resource that you could need is either on the website or is a simple email away. We had around 100 people which I felt like was the perfect number for the barn. There was still space for everyone to move around, but the room was definitely full with a good size dance floor. The bridal suite area was bright and clean (and the perfect hideaway when you need a breath!) The ceremony spot is close but still feels very secluded. Overall we had an amazing wedding day there!

side property has a great spot for a very peaceful ceremony. The barn provides an amazing sound system down by the ceremony spot - you should hear everything! The barn comes with a barn manager who is helpful on the day of. We used the getting ready rooms in the basement of the barn which. Grant was very flexible with allowing us time ahead of time to get in and decorate. Grant offers an Island Ice Cream Bar. We also used Grant’s DJ company and had a blast dancing the night away! I highly recommend Mansfield Barn for your wedding :)

look any further. This place is the whole package! We got married on 10/13/19 with 150 of our family and friends overlooking the mountains with peak foliage and a couple deer in the field behind us! It was the most breathtaking view. The barn staff, Mike especially, were so accommodating on the day of the wedding making my day so much better. Grant worked so well with all of our vendors it was almost like everyone was one big team! If you are looking for a venue that wants your day to be perfect, just like you do, this is the one.

e perfect blend of country charm and modern conveniences. Also, Grant, the barn owner is AMAZING to work with! You can really tell he loves weddings and working with brides and grooms. He helped us so much during the planning process and has over 20 years in the wedding business since he also has been a DJ and works with SuperSounds Entertainment. Our barn manager, Mike, was fabulous to work with and he felt like a family member. It's also a great option for budgets because of the packages involved with SuperSounds and associated businesses. You will not be disappointed with any of the services. Mansfield Barn truly made our wedding a dream come true and our guests are still talking about how beautiful the barn and grounds were. is incredible.y reasonable for the area. And because Grant also owns SuperSounds DJ company, it was easy and cheaper to package the venue and DJ together.
Throughout the entire 13 months, Grant was beyond amazing! I'm sure I've sent him dozens of emails, each with multiple questions. He was always more than happy to answer any questions and he always responded quickly.
The barn was beautiful, and because there wasn't an event the day before our wedding we were able to get set up the day before.
Our wedding was the best day of our life together, thanks in large part to Grant and the rest of the Mansfield Barn staff. I would recommend it to anyone!

met on a bitter cold morning, and despite the weather, we bundled up and Grant walked us through the barn, and across the grounds. Depicting what would be. At the time, the barn was still under restoration, and as Grant explained what was to come, we had to envision his plan. Standing on plywood floors, with construction materials abound we knew this was the place for us.
Our wedding day has come, and gone, and It was truly a wonderful day.
The barn is absolutely beautiful and rich with history.
I feel it was restored perfectly. It’s a cozy venue, and the lighting that is provided is gorgeous!
We held our ceremony on site and the arbor built on the grounds was the perfect backdrop.
Grant is incredible. He was always available, quick to respond, and does everything he can to cater to his wedding couples to make sure they have the best experience possible.
I would highly recommend The Mansfield Barn to anyone looking for an amazing venue!

ction to Grant - who did an amazing job communicating his vision to us. Not only was Grant able to sell us on the venue - but when the time came his coordination, communication, and flexibility helped our event run smoothly and flawlessly. The landscape is one of the most underrated features. The view of the Mansfield peak, the greenery, and panoramas from the hill offer great spots for pictures. We had our ceremony on the back lawn, and the knoll blocked all the road noise allowing for clear sound. The venue itself is beautiful with great workmanship, a vintage (yet modern) look, and features all the amenities for a classic Vermont wedding.

everything in its finished form. He had a layout, pictures of the fixtures, and he had a vision. He was so thorough at describing that vision that even though we couldn't actually physically SEE the finished barn, we fell in love. We immediately decided to book the venue and because it was new they offered some AMAZING discounts. If you use the DJ Services (SuperSounds) or Photography - you get discounts on those as well! The package deal for the DJ service was the cherry on top! I've been to a few weddings where SuperSounds DJ'd the event and it was so entertaining. I would HIGHLY recommend the Mansfield Barn and we haven't even had our wedding yet! I can't wait and will updated after the wedding!
Update: We're married!
I don't have too much to update other than the day went incredibly well and Grant was there through the ceremony. We had another venue contact that stayed through the entire event. This was incredibly helpful and everything went smoothly because of it. We set up the barn the day before because there was no wedding on Saturday. The exception was the outside decorations, chairs and tables had to be set up the day of. This made sense just in case in rained and to ensure we wouldn't lose anything in the wind. I would say really the only critical thing I have - and it really isn't much... Is that the venue contact would take pictures (which is definitely understandable), but there was a few times our photographer had to move him or ask him to move to get the shots she needed of us. One additional thing to note is we had 100 guests and everything fit very well with plenty of dance floor room and enough room to move around the tables, but if you had any more than that it might get a it snug or you would need to move things around before dancing or dinner. Overall we loved it!

is up to date, but still has a traditional, rustic, barn feeling. Grant and the barn staff were excellent to work with; they were very accommodating, flexible, friendly, and trustworthy people to plan with. They made the bride and groom their priority to please.
We had the choice of doing an inside ceremony, or two different outdoor sites! Even though the barn is located off of the main road, the ceremony site had no road noise plus it had a great view of fields and Mt. Mansfield in the background. Before we decided on a venue I did a TON of research on barns around the area to get the best location and deal, and there was no question, The Mansfield Barn won us over. It had everything we were looking for in a rustic Vermont barn.
It was the most perfect place to have a wedding reception too. There was outdoor space for cocktail hour or to get fresh air during dancing. And the inside was beautiful! The beams had pretty white lights wrapped around them, which gave a nice glow and looked cool in pictures. The bar area is very spacious with a really neat sugaring arch for drinks to stay cool in. That’s also where the photo booth is located (which I highly recommend doing!) Even the bathrooms were nice! They are very elegant and spacious. There is also a large entertainment space that we used for a buffet and dancing. You could rearrange the table set up however you would like and the staff helped out tremendously with making sure everything was perfect for us. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for the perfect Vermont Wedding.

the barn. All we had were our imagination and his promise… and we were hooked! Over the months, we loved following the barn’s progress and watching the videos of the renovation, and so did our family and friends! We were certain it would turn out beautifully, and we were not disappointed.
We couldn’t have asked for better than Grant and Sheila. They were friendly, helpful, organized, and most importantly, accommodating. We planned most of the wedding from Connecticut via email, and they responded to our questions immediately. When we presented a new idea for the seating arrangement and DJ placement, they didn’t hesitate to make it happen, and even helped fine tune our idea. Sheila was wonderful, making sure the barn was open for us when we needed to set up. Ours was only the second wedding in the barn, and yet there were absolutely no glitches.
Preparing for a wedding is a stressful time, but the atmosphere of the barn was so laid back and comfortable. Even our DJ, Duane, was at the barn the day before the wedding. Setting up for the wedding was so much fun. That same laid back atmosphere carried into the wedding day, and it was exactly what we wanted.
We had an excellent wedding reception thanks to the amazing venue. It was the perfect day with beautiful weather, great food, and wonderful music. We heard nothing but compliments from our guests. Several people told us that ours was the best wedding they had ever been to. We highly recommend the Mansfield Barn as a wedding venue.

now of the construction process every step of the way. I received email updates monthly at the very least and videos to show up the progress!
Once the barn was complete Grant made every effort to make sure that my husband and I knew exactly what to expect and that we had everything we needed for our big day. He made time for us to visit the barn several times before the event and answered every question I had from the moment we signed the contract up until the day before our wedding.
The whole team at the Mansfield barn truly was a class act, my guests loved the venue and all of my out of town guests loved the authentic feel of Vermont that the Mansfield barn provided. If you're looking for a beautiful venue that will exceed your expectations this is it!

done to the barn. We trusted him immediately and he did not let us down! When we saw the barn for our rehersal it was stunning! All of the tables and chairs were included, which was greatly appreciated. We had planned to have our ceremony outside - but there was supposed to be a storm - so the ceremony was moved inside. The staff set up the tables and chairs, and moved the chairs off the dance floor during the cocktail hour. We were able to use the outside grounds for photos and lawn games. The Mansfield Barn was the perfect location for our wedding and it was all we could have hoped for!
