photos online just don’t do it justice. I highly recommend going for a tour! I really loved the outdoor patio area. You really feel like you are going back in time when you are here. It’s a little different because you will have guests seated in different rooms but you can still see everyone and it worked perfectly. So happy with my wedding and venue!

She listened to what I was looking for as a bride and she really helped to paint a picture as to what my event could look like. She was very comprehensive and answered all of my questions. The fee for renting the venue was very reasonable for the large amount of space and privacy you get. The long winding driveway, impressive front entrance, outdoor patio and garden were quite fairytale-like. However, the actual inside of the mansion left much to be desired for two reasons. One is that there isn't one single room that is large enough to hold much of a reception above 30-50 people - rather the guests are seated for dinner in a variety of rooms throughout the first floor of the house. I'm sure many mansions from this time period are designed the same way with many smaller rooms rather than one large ballroom for many people, so that something to consider when planning a mansion/ballroom wedding. Secondly the house, while historic and charming, had a lingering mildew smell, and it made me uncomfortable to bring my guests there. If the venue owners were able to knock down a few walls to open up the space and investigate the mildew smell this venue would have been a slam dunk choice for its historic charm and beauty.
