We had an initial consultation and agreed to hire Jay for our wedding. We initially met in person and told him we did not have a solid start time but he insisted we give him a tent...
ative time for the ceremony . Planning took place over email and we had not solidified a time for the ceremony, so we told him 1pm and that we would cement it later in the planning process. Jay did not follow up with us to solidify the start time of our ceremony and Jay proceeded to double book that Saturday leaving only 30 mins in between our new projected start time and a second wedding ceremony the same afternoon. When we informed him we had changed times he arrogantly scolded us and dropped our contract a month before our wedding date! Luckily, we found another more understanding officiant, but the audacity of this man to attempt to dictate our special day around HIS schedule was a slap in the face. We do NOT recommend Jay as an officiant as he does not care about you or the beginning of the rest of your shared lives, but rather stroke his own ego. Good riddance.
