The Master in Ceremony offers wedding officiating and day-of coordination to couples based around the Bronx, NY. Owner Mic Barber has years of experience in the industry and loves helping his clients make their dream day a reality. He's licensed to perform ceremonies in all 50 states.
Mic is happy to perform all manner of ceremonies, and is a licensed and ordained minister and celebrant. You can choose from interfaith or non-religious celebrations, as well as vow renewals and civil unions. Some of the faiths he's happy to work with include Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Catholic, and Adventist.
The Master In Ceremony invites you to write your own vows to make the ceremony all the more meaningful. Once you've been announced as newlyweds, Mic can then turn to his master of ceremony duties. He's available to direct both the cocktail hour and reception to ensure a smooth, effortless celebration. You're invited to meet Mic for a consultation to talk about your ideas for your ceremony.

ements—I needed someone who could match my energy, command a room, and keep 250 guests engaged all night long. My expectations were incredibly high… and Mike didn’t just meet them—he completely blew them out of the water.
When I tell you Mike was phenomenal, I mean it. Not only did he match my energy, he somehow surpassed it. He kept the crowd hyped from beginning to end, had everyone involved, and never let the energy drop for a second. It honestly felt like he was me… just on a professional microphone. That’s the highest compliment I can give.
Mike was also incredibly attentive. If I needed the microphone, he already had it ready. If something needed to happen, he was already one step ahead. I never had to worry about a thing because he was completely on top of everything. He made my husband and me feel like the only two people in the room. We always felt seen, celebrated, and taken care of.
The biggest compliment? My guests have not stopped asking me, “Who was your MC?” Everyone wanted to know because he absolutely owned that room. He had 250 people completely locked in, engaged, dancing, laughing, and having the time of their lives.
Mike is personable, professional, energetic, and genuinely one of the biggest reasons our reception was everything we dreamed it would be. He didn’t just host our wedding—he elevated it.
As far as I’m concerned, Mike is officially hired for life by the Davenports. Every future event we have, he’ll be our first phone call.
