h Steve, who made our appointment seamless and straightforward. We talked through our potential guest count, which informed the size of the cake. We also talked through the design on the cake. We had already seen some of their cake designs on Instagram so we knew what we were looking for. At our tasting, we had everything set up and ready to go for our wedding. We picked two different cake flavors and two different fillings, both so delicious! We received so many compliments on how good the cake was! Not only that, they will remake your topper after a year (it's a standard flavor but replicating special flavors is just a small upcharge), so no worries if your freezing of the topper doesn't go so well. It was so easy working with The Master’s Baker!

e the entire process seamless. Even when I asked for last minute changes. The hardest part was picking flavors.. a good problem to have.

the process of getting the cake was absolutely horrendous. There was absolutely no communication (10+ unanswered emails). Turned out our cake consultant had quit and they never let us know. We called multiple times where we spoke to someone and they told us we would have answers by the end of the day and we never heard back. We finally had to get our wedding planner involved and basically had to threaten them to give us answers. Hopefully they can get their staff properly trained and a better system of working with clients because like I said, they have beautiful and delicious cakes.

And they’d be like, I like that but here are some things to think about based on what I’ve seen. (SO HELPFUL!) Communication from start to finish was organized, thoughtful, and geared towards giving us the cake of our dreams on our wedding day. Mission accomplished! We decided to go traditional with the Vanilla Sour Cream Pound Cake and Old Fashioned Buttercream and a minimalist floral design that made our cake topper really shine. The cake was beautiful and delicious. Truly not much more we could have asked for out of our wedding cake vendor. We can’t wait to use them for future cake needs as a married couple. So grateful!

d that I would be able to eat cake at our wedding! My husband did a regular tasting and fell in love with their pound cake, and I did a gluten free, dairy free, soy free tasting. It was so amazing! We also ordered some tasting of their mini desserts under these guidelines and the verrines, almond cookies, and blueberry cheesecake were excellent! I can't imagine what the regular version are like. We settled on a pound cake with the classic buttercream frosting and strawberry buttercream filling. I had a small side cake for myself and other GF/DF folks: the strawberry shortcake, with the jam filling, and classic buttercream. The designs were exactly what we discussed, and it turned out beautifully. We had a great experience and will likely order from here again for future dessert needs!

the most beautiful cake for our fantasy Harry Potter/Lord of the Rings wedding, that was also one of the most delicious things we’d ever tasted - their chocolate cake with Nutella filling is to DIE for! We’ll definitely be looking for excuses to order cake in the future!

The process was seamless, as they then worked with our wedding coordinator at the venue to schedule the cake drop-off. Everyone at the wedding was so complimentary at the elegant look of our cake and how good it tasted. The only piece of constructive feedback is that it may be good to send one final confirmation e-mail to the couple prior to the wedding to verify the order details- we had requested the Lemon Zest Buttercream filling for our Red Raspberry Parfait tiers in the cake, but we received instead Vainilla Buttercream for all our tiers. Definitely not the end of the world, but we were really looking forward to having the different buttercream options we had selected. Otherwise, we would recommend The Master's Baker for anyone getting married in the West Chester, PA area!

Also, it had to be the best tasting cake I have ever eaten. I only got to have a small taste on the wedding night and we immediately went on our honeymoon. First thing we did the night we got home a week later was eat some cake. It still tasted like the best cake I have ever tasted a week later. We chose pink champagne with lime curd and the lemon velvet with blueberry jam. PERFECT for summer and so light and refreshing! The decoration was also exactly as I sent them in a vision picture. Stunning, delicious cake, friendly staff, and incredibly accommodating to our COVID needs!

Through all of the change of plans and rescheduling they were super responsive and willing and able to switch plans with us no problem. We first had our wedding cake tasting at their shop in West Chester, and first of all their bakery location is gorgeous and comfortable inside, where they offered us coffee and had a nice waiting area. Then we were taken into a private tasting room where they had a gorgeous chandelier, beautifully designed cakes on display, and a huge flatscreen tv which our wedding cake coordinator used to easily show us all different styles of cakes. That was such a nice touch which made browsing the styles and designs so nice and easy, and fun! Then the tasting! All of the flavors of cake and icing were so delicious, I wanted them all! We chose pink champagne and orange velvet. We were so impressed by the unique and rich flavors that were anything but boring cake! And my husband and I aren’t even really cake people, but these cakes were so incredibly moist and flavorful. The day of the wedding our cake arrived perfectly and looked so gorgeous. The decorating style and buttercream flowers were exactly the colors and look we wanted. I wouldn’t have changed a thing! I definitely recommend them for any bakery needs!

They delivered the cake to the venue with no issue, placed our cake topper on the cake and had it set up perfectly. The most attractive perk my husband and I were excited about was that instead of keeping the top layer of our cake in our freezer to eat on our one-year anniversary, we will actually be given a small fresh baked “top layer” of our wedding cake to celebrate our one-year anniversary – this additional little mini-cake is included in the price of our wedding cake! We could not have been more pleased with our decision to book The Master’s Baker and will absolutely be ordering from this bakery again for future events!

At the consultant's suggestion, we decided to list our wedding colors on our paperwork and leave the order of the colored tiers up to the baker. This "baker's choice" option was supposed to make the planning process a bit easier. So, we were pretty disappointed when on our wedding day we found that our cake was completely white; no color at all. The florist had to scrounge up some extra flowers at the last minute to add some color to the cake because it looked incredibly bare. The cake itself was delicious, but make sure you're extremely specific about how you want it to look during your consultation.
