t to finish, the Mazant provided the perfect setting for our 95-person wedding, even when faced with an unexpected pivot due to torrential rain. Originally, we planned to host both our ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing outside, but when the weather didn’t cooperate mid-wedding, we had to quickly move dancing and speeches indoors. Despite the last-minute change, the house easily accommodated our guests, creating a cozy yet spacious atmosphere that felt intimate and inviting. It was a testament to how versatile and well-thought-out this space is for large events. It was so wonderful to get ready at The Mazant (we used the double queen room just as the get ready room) which was plenty of space to stretch out and there were already hair dryers, plenty of towels, speakers, steamers, you name it. The outdoor amenities, including the hot tub, were also great and a lovely way to unwind after all the festivities. I learned you can control the color of the pool too so perhaps consider that to match your event! Jeff and Kevin were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were both incredibly responsive, organized, and accommodating throughout the planning process and the weekend itself, which made everything run smoothly! It was THE place to get married - delightful all around!

The wedding ceremony was in the garden with dancing, food and drinks around the pool and other areas. The house easily accommodated 150 guests. The kitchen was perfect for the wedding party as well as for our caterer. The grounds and the interior are well maintained and spotless. What a magical and memorable night at The Mazant!

e my big day was almost surreal. The Mazant made that possible. Among my favorite things about this most unique vacation rental, was the oversized solid wood dining table (which made it possible for all of us to enjoy formal dinner together at one table), the courtyard and pool (which definitely boast an island vibe), and the spacious / well stocked kitchen. Needless to say, the 8 bedrooms and MULTIPLE bathrooms were indeed the icing on the cake. If you're considering the Mazant for your special day, don't hesitate. Book it today <3

this, in my opinion. It has a huge capacity for entertainment. We originally planned our wedding to be entirely outdoors but when the weather dipped too cold we were easily able to host everyone inside and it made it a cozy New Orleans party for 125 people and a brass band. Everything is impeccably well kept and the entire stay outside of the night of the wedding was extremely comfortable. Classy, stylish, comfortable, absolutely New Orleans.

nd "The Mazant". On paper, The Mazant checked every single box on our wants list, however, off paper and in real life, it turned out to exceed far beyond all of our expectations. From the aesthetics to comfort and functionality, The Mazant was the perfect place for my family and I to begin the rest of our lives. Attendees ages ranged from 4 years old to 80 years old. The Mazant truly thought of everyone when they made this gorgeous property available to the public. The communication, payment method and friendliness of the management was impeccable. I highly recommend The Mazant!

th families slept comfortably in the house and enjoyed days relaxing by the pool. The outdoor space at the Mazant is truly gorgeous and great for entertaining. When we saw the outdoor space transformed for the wedding it was everything that we wanted and more. There are multiple seating areas inside and outside that comfortably accommodate large groups. All communication with Jeff leading up to the wedding was easy and prompt. The property manager was unbelievably helpful to us during our stay and made sure that we had everything we needed for the events. Most vendors were familiar with the property already which made logistics easier. We stayed for 5 nights and regretted not staying longer as everyone was raving about how much they loved the house!

the beds were the nicest I've ever slept in. And the house itself was so tasteful and impeccably clean. When I had minor issues with setting up for my party (unrelated to the Mazant) Kevin was a godsend and made sure my party went off without a hitch. Truly an unforgettable weekend spent with friends and family. Having the party at the mazant and then being able to hang poolside after with 14 of my closest friends and family was a once in a lifetime experience. Would OBVIOUSLY recommend to anyone looking to have the time of their life.

mazing. The pictures don’t do it justice because it is sooooo beautiful!! We had so much space and room for everyone. The decorations are incredible and the backyard was so enjoyable! We loved all the different areas people could hangout and loved the fire pit area! The property manager and owner communicated so well and very fast. They were so helpful during this whole process and Kevin was so nice! We will definitely be coming back to stay for vacations and anniversaries 😊

n the house and grounds from our guests. It slept 15 extremely comfortably and we felt like we'd found a home away from home in the Bywater. The neighborhood is perfect, with so many fun bars and cafes to visit without the craziness of the French Quarter (though that's just a beautiful walk away if you're up for it)! Interactions with Jeff over email were always kind, clear, and punctual, and property manager Kevin was also very warm, responsive and helpful during our stay. It truly all couldn't have been better and we are trying to find an excuse to visit again.

single detail. You truly feel at home as soon as you walk through the doors. The beds were extremely comfy. The grounds and heated pool were definitely a plus. The Mazant was by far the best choice for our intimate wedding! We can’t wait to return to celebrate our anniversary.

our wedding. Little did we know that it would exceed our expectations in every way. Upon check-in, we were met by Kevin who was available throughout the weekend in case anything came up and quickly responded to any questions that we called/texted about. The house itself easily accommodated our group of 16 without feeling like we were on top of each other. Each bedroom is so unique and cozy and the shared spaces are dreamy. Our other guests were able to easily find lodging within walking/biking distance to The Mazant and there are so many great spots to eat and drink close by. We utilized both the inside and outside spaces for our reception/ceremony (about 100 guests in attendance) and our vendors had no issues setting up and taking down. The side yard is such a dreamy space for a ceremony and we received nonstop compliments about how stunning the whole property was. After the festivities, we were able to relax by the fire pit and the pool/hot tub with our family to reflect on just how perfect everything turned out. We cannot recommend The Mazant enough to anyone planning an event. Both Kevin and Jeff were incredibly helpful in the planning process and made communication a breeze. Gustav, the caretaker, is such a quirky and sweet man who took some time to talk with us about the property and the adorable neighborhood cats that would occasionally visit us while we were outside. We cannot wait to return and are still in awe at how perfect the weekend was.

both immediate families, and the home is stunning. It feels so grand while still being comfortable, and incredibly stylish. Kevin & Jeff are amazing communicators and made sure everything was in great shape for our wedding (3 weeks post-Ida!). It's a really fun up & coming neighborhood, walkable to so many places and plenty of Airbnb's available for other guests (our wedding was 60 people total & 18 stayed at property, everyone else at Airbnb's nearby). We loved being able to host a welcome party on Friday and then both ceremony & reception on Saturday all at the same venue, while it still felt fresh and different vibes for everything since there are so many zones to enjoy. For an unforgettable New Orleans experience with amazing Southern hospitality, I highly recommend!!!

e space itself is absolutely incredible. We rented it out for the weekend, which I highly recommend. Vendors were able to pick up and drop off rentals at various times over the course of a few days, making coordination easier and avoiding late-night charges. Also the space, particularly the outdoor space, is very customizable. It's really a blank canvas to bring your vision to life. It also doubles as housing for quite a few guests, which was super helpful for our small wedding. The new heated pool + hot tub was the real star of the weekend, as we got to swim even in December. My only complaint is that it was hard to obey quiet hours because we were having so much fun in the pool every night! Cannot recommend enough!!!

We had never stepped foot at The Mazant prior to booking them for the weekend of our wedding, but fell in love with the space just by looking at photographs on their very user friendly website. As beautiful as the online photographs are, the space is even more impactful in person. We live in NYC and half our guests were from Miami, so we had a very specific aesthetic in mind, which The Mazant completely delivered on and then some --- sophisticated, polished, elegant, just gorgeous, and entirely captured the southern charm you would expect from a historic New Orleans mansion, with plenty of space for the guests to spread out in (pool area, kitchen, fire pit, patio behind kitchehn, dining room, living room, etc., i.e. TONS of space). We had about 105 guests in attendance at the events and 17 guests staying at the house. We held our rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour, and wedding reception here. For the reception, the seated tables for dinner were on the lawn side and the dance floor, cocktail area were on the poolside. We had an extremely diverse group that were so comfortable and at ease at The Mazant. Jeff and Kevin are your points of contact who are both extremely responsive even to all my annoying questions and are just the most lovely people. They go above and beyond to accommodate you, were so flexible, and were truly concerned with providing everything you need to host a spectacular event. Our wedding far exceeded our expectations, especially during this time of global crisis, and we are so grateful to The Mazant and their team for helping to make our wedding weekend so memorable. Trust me, I looked at EVERY SINGLE (i.e. over 50) New Orleans venue before booking The Mazant and am so so glad that we went with them. We could not have hosted such a killer wedding party anywhere else. If you are at all interested in The Mazant, reach out to them and lock that date down!

There was no issues with bathroom sharing each room pretty much has its own bathroom. The grounds were so amazing we didn't get to use it as the weather was chilly, but we did have our wedding ceremony and jazz band in the side lawn. The bywater area is super cool with a wine bar and the cities best BBQ joint a short walk away. If you pick this home as your venue you will not be disappointed!

gh online photos. Still, we were completely unprepared for the impact that walking through the front door had on us. I mean, wow. We wondered around the house marveling at its size and then at the gorgeous decor and myriad inviting spaces. It was perfect. We had 15 guests stay with us and they absolutely loved every moment in the house. Every communal space is built to comfortably hold at least a dozen people, making this the perfect family getaway. Our wedding was absolute perfection. We had around 80 people over and used the entire house for the festivities. The ceremony look place in the corner yard under a gorgeous old tree, the reception and dance party were under a tent in the opposite side yard - which were connected by the center hall that also served as the bar. People spread out into the living room to chat and play chess, into the dining room to eat and laugh, into the kitchen to help themselves to seconds and thirds, and all throughout the side and back yards. On more than one occasion, our guests thanked us for having the wedding in New Orleans - and specifically in this house. It's also worth noting that the property management team is exceptional. They respond to questions quickly and with good humor. They were flexible and super willing to work with us to make the weekend perfect. A really remarkable space. My one critique would be that the cottage is not as polished as the main house. Still, it was comfortable and a welcome sanctuary from our family :) Would def stay again!

The recently renovated kitchen with restaurant quality equipment ensures your caterer has everything they need. The property owners and manager were quick to respond to inquiries and always available for assistance. The proximity to some of the best restaurants and bars in New Orleans provides guests with plenty of options to enjoy pre or post wedding. This location made our special day extra special.

It was so amazing, could not recommend it enough. The owner and the property manager were very helpful and were even gracious about some overly inquisitive family members who reached out them. Add on the fact that our wedding team was very thorough and they probably had a dozen or so calls from them asking setup questions and woah! What troopers. Really above and beyond what we even expected for our wedding weekend. If you are looking for a wedding venue with heart and intimacy you need to book this place.

Our out of town guests and family stayed in the house with us for the weekend and I couldn’t dream of doing it any other way or in any other location. It gave us a chance to truly experience and enjoy every moment and to have the people we love there with us throughout. Everyone who attended gushed over the house and how beautiful it is. We decorated minimally because at the Mazant it truly isn’t necessary- it is so impeccably decorated already. The owners and property manager were easy to plan with and were always quick to answer questions.

The owner and the local team taking care of the house were wonderful to work with in the lead up to our arrive, even allowing us a walk through with our planner when we were in town on a planning trip. The house is absolutely beautiful, and the yard is perfect to host a small wedding (and I imagine a bigger one if you wanted it). This is a real gem!!

The layout allowed us to do a lot of different things and the owners were very accommodating, working with us as we hung lights and set up a tent which fits perfectly in their side yard. I can't say enough good things about this place. Make sure you book it for 4 or 5 days at least so your rental people can set up and break down during the week and that will actually save you money! It was great and we ended up hosting a brunch there on Sunday after the wedding which was perfect. You have to check this place out!

use for 4 nights. Even before we arrived, Jeff & co were prompt in all of their responses and open to any questions we had. They were easy to get in contact with once we were down there too! As a destination bride I investigated the space as much as I could, including taking the virtual tour many times and sifting through all of the photos posted. Despite my intimate knowledge of the house prior to arriving, I was still in awe of it. The ceilings are higher than they appeared, the rooms, the colors, the decoration all looked even better in person. We also kept losing people in the house it was so large. Everyone that came into the house for the first time immediately asked for a tour and raved about it. There are fruit trees in the backyard that our friends & family helped themselves to as well! We were given a cake and champagne upon arrival and served it at our welcome bbq on Friday night! It was from Bywater Bakery & was a hit with all of our guests. The firepit was perfect on this evening for everyone to gather around and eat s'mores. We set up our Friday night event in the back by the barbeque and it looked beautiful under the hanging lights. We also got some extra food from The Joint, which is only 2 blocks away! During the day there were lawn games and plenty of card games that were played. We played music on the surround sound system in the living room & there was still enough quiet space for our guests to do any work they needed! The house is also so close to Bacchanal, Satsuma, Elizabeths, & St. Roch Market our guests were able to venture out to try the local food! Many of our guests also walked along the river to the French quarter! It was incredibly easy to have vendors come in & set-up for the reception. I was worried that 55 people might be too much to fit in the backyard, but I was wrong. There was more than enough space to have a dance floor, tables & chairs, a bar set-up, dessert table, cocktail hour food table, & catering all out side. We had the ceremony in the side yard in front of the cottage & guests were ushered through the gate into the back of the house, where the cobblestone is, for the cocktail hour. They then flowed to the catering tables by the fire pit before making their way to their seats in the fenced in yard. The layout of the house creates a really nice flow from section to section to have nice transitions between wedding events. There was plenty of space in the kitchen to hold food for the Friday night BBQ & we rented the cottage Friday and Saturday night, so we kept extra alcohol and the wedding cake in there to keep it safe! I can't say enough good things about the house. I was nervous about the space without seeing it before booking, but it exceeded expectations and made for a perfect space for our celebration. I think it was so special and made us so happy to have our friends and family stay with us during this occasion. Thank you again!!

) - sight unseen. To say that it exceeded all of our expectations is a HUGE understatement. When we walked in, we all started screaming; we couldn't believe how gorgeous it is. Every room is designed with impeccable taste/detail, functionality and careful thought. We couldn't have been more thrilled with our decision to rent this house and host our entire wedding weekend here. We stayed at this house for a 3 nights with our 3 kids and 10 of our closest friends (15 guests total) and never hurt for space. We also hosted an additional 25 guests on Friday evening for a popcorn party/movie night, Saturday morning for the wedding and creole brunch, and Saturday evening for a cocktail hour and to watch the Cubs game on the giant 70" TV. There was enough room for everyone to be out of each other's way, but definitely space for chatting, having conversations, and enjoying time together too. Our guests loved hanging out on the upstairs balcony and watching the rain, sitting outside in the south yard by the large oak tree, doing yoga in the north yard by the fountain, and wandering the Bywater neighborhood for coffee, bakery goods, BBQ and dive bars. As we walked the property to figure out where to hold the ceremony (inside, outside, by the giant 150 year old tree, underneath one of the many trellises, by the fountain, on the lit patio, on the square lawn? - so many options!), we were thrilled to discover that the house was fully equipped with plenty of silverware, glassware, a bar cart, and enough chairs to comfortably accommodate our party of 40. There were also 3 separate Nest thermostats - amazing for a house of this age - and incredibly helpful for our unusually warm October wedding (95 degrees!) As the bride/groom, we couldn't decide which room WE wanted to stay in ourselves - each room was just so smartly designed, gorgeous and breathtaking. Every bathroom was pristine and gorgeous. The full size washer/dryer, steamer, iron, and plenty of full-size mirrors were helpful on wedding day as we were getting ready. Also helpful, while the adults were mingling downstairs or on the balcony, the kids spent time in the media room upstairs with its own TV and private bathroom - a great little hideaway for our 8, 10 and 12 year olds. The Bywater is a great neighborhood with tons of character, charm, and personality. It's only 10 minutes to Frenchmen Street and less than 15 minutes to the Quarter. We had a car and had no problems parking while we were there either. Jeff was communicative and incredibly responsive/helpful with helping us plan a destination wedding, offering the names of various bakeries, caterers, photographers, and party rental services. He offered us the flexibility to bring in whatever food we wanted and bring in our own drinks/liquor. Because we rented the house for the weekend, there was no pressure to wrap up by any certain time, which was great because nobody wanted to leave the house. I'm certain there is not a single reception venue that would allow for such flexibility. If you're looking for a place that will give you the autonomy of doing your wedding YOUR way, The Mazant can't be beat. FWIW, all of our friends already want to come back. We've already started looking at our calendars for our next stay at The Mazant!
