The McAlister-Leftwich House is a boutique wedding venue in Greensboro, NC, where you and your partner can join a long list of history-making couples. Known for creating a sense of ease and beauty and offering a fresh perspective on the wedding planning journey, this location, combined with its wonderful staff, will make sure your big day is talked about for many years to come. Two Homes, One Amazing Adventure
When you choose the McAlister-Leftwich House for your special day, you will have the option of celebrating at two fairytale venues, each one as jaw-droppingly beautiful as the other. The Gant-McAlister House, built in 1915, is a prime example of the architecture style of the time. It was constructed during the transition from Queen Anne to the Colonial Revival fashion, and the first occupants were the Gant family, who lived there happily for 31 years. Alongside it stands the Dixon-Leftwich-Murphy House, a Gothic Revival-inspired design that was unique to the area at the time. It was built in 1875 and features many of the same elements that first made it so distinctive.

There are several fabulous spaces available for you and your guests to celebrate your big day, depending on the size of your guest list. The McAlister-Leftwich House can accommodate up to 150 people and provides so much more than just a place to swap vows and make memories. Before stepping into ownership of the McAlister-Leftwich House, I spent years leading large-scale catering and event teams across the country. I’ve overseen everything from intimate estate weddings to multi-million-dollar event programs, and that experience now pours directly into every celebration hosted here in Greensboro.
What I love most about this work is the balance of heart and precision. I believe luxury should feel warm, planning should feel exciting, and your wedding day should feel like you. From your first tour to your final send-off, I’m here to help shape the flow, refine the vision, and make sure every detail feels intentional.
I’m known for staying calm, thinking strategically, and caring deeply about the experience not just for you, but for your families and guests as well.

the space. The whole team was incredibly warm and helpful. Any question I had, they were more than happy to answer it. The bridal suite is the perfect spot to get ready with your party and the groom's suite is a perfect space for the guys to hang out. We looked at several different venues, but none could offer what McAlister-Leftwich was offering. And of course, the houses made the pictures of our day even more beautiful. The space was so intimate and was perfect for our wedding with 90 people. We could not imagine our wedding day anywhere else.

The team is kind, generous and talented. They alleviated all our fears during an incredibly stressful time, and allowed us to actually enjoy the wedding week/weekend. And the space is beautiful -- elegantly and thoughtfully designed. It made the perfect backdrop for pictures, even in the driving rain.
