We have been so pleased with our experience with The McDonalds as our wedding photographers. From our first meeting with Beatriz and Josh, we knew they were a kind and thoughtful team and are willing to go the extra mile (literally) for their clients. We had an amazing sunrise engagement shoot at my husband’s family farm in Kentwood, LA., which they made a special trip to accommodate. They made us laugh and we felt comfortable being in front of their camera. They helped our wedding day flow seamlessly with their punctuality and professionalism. They are true artists and capture emotion in such a beautiful way and we are so pleased with our photos. They do take a little longer than some to deliver photos but the end result is definitely worth the wait. Would highly recommend them for your special day.

Beatriz and josh captured the best candid photos from our wedding night!! Despite the weather being bad and having to change up picture plans, they still got amazing shots of everything we wanted. We have gotten so many compliments on the pictures and we just got them back a few days ago! Can’t wait to share and cherish these memories forever!

When I started looking at photographers, I stumbled upon Beatriz and Josh and was blown away the minute I started scrolling through their pictures. The way they capture emotions is absolutely stunning! My husband and I decided to get married in The Smoky Mountains and they were on board right away! They were so easy to work with, they know how to pose people while making it look effortless, but also capture those candid moments really well. We were amazed looking at all our pictures, feeling like we were back to that weekend. If you are looking for a photographer, look no further. This dynamic duo is the best in town! You will feel like you've been friends with them for awhile even if meeting for the first time. Love, love, love them!!

Beatriz is absolutely amazing! I desperately wanted to get bridal portraits done despite being new to New Orleans and planning a wedding from 500 miles away from my wedding venue/hometown. I reached out to a few local photographers and I instantly had a good feeling when Beatriz contacted me. She made me feel very comfortable and helped me find the perfect spot for photos. She even made me the most BEAUTIFUL bridal bouquet so that I wouldn’t have to find a florist here (seriously, she could start a second business as a florist if she wanted!). You can’t go wrong with the McDonalds.

Beatriz and Josh were easy to work with and had the perfect mix of authority and whimsy on our wedding day. They arrived on time ready to get started and directed us on where to stand, what to do with our hands etc. while cracking jokes at the same time that made for beautiful, natural wedding photos that showcased us just having fun! With two photographers that also allowed for really great shots from different angles of the same moment. I’m not kidding, we showed our photos to family and friends and they thought it was a magazine spread! I would definitely recommend these two - they have a great eye for catching people during special moments in natural light and making them look beautiful.

Beatriz and Josh were very accommodating and flexible to what my husband and I wanted for our wedding photography. Beatriz's sense of artistry is innate, and it shows through in her photos. The McDonalds managed to capture fantastic candids and posed shots, because they know how to blend in with the crowd. Truly amazing photographs of our wedding and reception that we will cherish always! I can't recommend them highly enough!

These two are the pair to beat! Beatriz is the creative--a very thoughtful photographer who captures beautiful moments and Josh does a perfect job with logistics. In a world of too much airbrush and forced smiles, The McDonalds' photography style is unique, refreshing, and REAL! They do such a great job of capturing beautiful real-life moments. We couldn't be happier with our engagement and wedding photos. The candid moments she captured mean so much to us and we will treasure our photos for years and years!

The McDonalds are so wonderful to work with! They respond to emails and texts very quickly. And our pictures came out GORGEOUS! Their attention to detail is amazing. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a photographer!

Beatriz and Josh Mcdonald did an amazing job on our photographs. We love looking back on our pictures and remembering twirling around with each other and laughing. My husband and I got married in October 2016. We had our engagement shots done in April and we were thrilled with how they came out. They have a very natural style, capturing moments in such an beautiful way. They did a great job, listening to our requests and having us do all sorts of poses we wouldn't have thought to do. We love their style and wanted them for our wedding as well- in which they did a great job. We were super grateful to work with this easy-going, gracious couple. We loved using Beatriz and Josh. We live out of town and she was super accommodating. She even let us use the extra session for after our wedding. She was so fun and easy going and gave us beautiful photos that we still get compliments on.

Beatriz and Josh have a way of making you feel beautiful and comfortable in your own skin. Personally, I have never liked to be photographed, and my husband is a model! So I was shy about single shots and pictures with my handsome and photogenic husband, but with the McDonalds I wasn’t anxious or worried, I felt natural and not forced. My pictures came out candid, professional, real, and gorgeous. We have gotten SO many compliments on the quality and artistry of our pictures, yet capturing the essence of who we are as a couple. Beatriz and Josh, you have changed the way I think about being photographed and I can’t wait to have another shoot with you!

I can’t speak more highly of Beatriz’s vision as an artist and photographer. She has made my husband and I look like models on two separate occasions now, with such ease and grace! He even jokes about having her photograph us on random occasions in the future when we aren’t feeling the greatest about ourselves—THAT is how much we love her work! I look forward to working with the McDonalds in the future years as our family grows!

Beatriz and Josh will not disappoint! I had a small wedding, but I still wanted great photographs to display and for memeories, and that is exactly what I got! When Beatriz and Josh first got to the site, we were running behind schedule, they couldn’t start photographing what we originally discussed, but Beatriz kept herself busy photographing anything and everything (wedding related) possible, while Josh got started with the guys. They are great at capturing a moment in a beautiful way that doesn’t look staged.. I absolutely LOVE my wedding photos! I highly recommend these two!

We used The McDonalds for both our engagement and wedding photos, and the pictures came out absolutely breathtaking! They were such a great team to work with, very creative, and made sure we had all the shots we asked for. Highly recommend and we would definitely use them again!:)

The McDonalds have the most unique photography style of anyone in the NOLA area! They photographed our engagement photos in 2014. I treasure my pics and have them displayed all over my house! They are very creative and willing to adapt to what you want. They did a special thing for us - my husband loves to write so Beatriz had him write me a love letter and she put it on canvas which she displayed at the shoot site hanging on a tree. I have my canvas love letter hanging in our bedroom along with our photos. Looking forward to our next shoot with our little girl!
