Our story begins with a wistful little girl named Vanessa who collected not Barbie dolls but bridal mags. Dreaming of her happily ever after, the young-woman-with-a-love-for-all-things-nuptial set her sights on a film degree from UT Austin with the sole intent of becoming a wedding videographer. Upon graduation, she did just that. One year later, a boy named Brent moseyed in. This gentleman was her kindred creative spirit and shared her love for preserving history. So when he swept her off her feet, she happily took his name. And a new business name: Vanessa McKellar Productions. Two really is better than one, and their souls longed to play and work together. So the two formed The McKellars and started making films side by side. But enough about our story. Let's hear yours!

Hiring the McKellars was an incredible decision. We were one of many couples who went back and forth... and back and forth... on whether to hire a videographer at all. When we saw the McKellars work we decided to go for it and now we are so glad we did. The video was heartfelt and made us and our family cry. It truly brought back the day in a way pictures just don’t. It flowed beautifully and captured the love we have for each other, the intensity of the ceremony, and the fun of the dancing. Vanessa McKellar paid special attention in our intro call to the things that were important to us and made sure to include them in the video as well. We can’t recommend their services and final product enough!

Vanessa McKellar was just absolutely wonderful filming our wedding! We were so thankful to have gotten her to video our wedding at the last minute. I was in a panic because we had rescheduled our wedding from Louisiana to Texas and she was just phenomenal to work with. She made us feel so at ease and the video is amazing!! It captured all of the highlights and had such special touches. She was incredibly professional and just the sweetest soul. I would absolutely hire the McKellars again!!!

The McKellars are absolutely phenomenal!!! I knew I wanted to have them capture our special day after watching their beautiful work, and I am beyond happy that I did! They made everyone in the wedding feel so comfortable on our wedding day and captured all of our special moments naturally! They are so professional and kind in every interaction! Their work is absolutely breathtaking and something that my husband and I will cherish forever! We cannot thank them enough!!

When my husband and I first started talking wedding budget priorities, videography was not one of them. However, Edgar said it was still important to him so I did my best to find the perfect vendor. We didn't want a cheesy, painful video to force our visitors to re-watch. We wanted to capture an experience and remind us and our loved ones exactly how we all felt on that special day. The McKellars' website stood out to us so we gave them a call. From their attention to detail, genuine curiosity, creative energy and amount of collaboration and flexibility, it was clear that they understood our vision and us as a couple. Our official video hasn't even been released, but they gave us a glimpse of a highlight reel that has made us and our loved ones so happy. We can't wait for the full video and are so thankful that we came across such a brilliant and personally invested videographer team. The McKellars are a couple that bring a lot of experience to the table. They were so patient with us and stuck it out with us as we regularly changed our minds and as my husband and I disagreed about the approach. We would recommend The McKellars to any couple looking to come as close as possible to capturing the experience in such a way that the video brings them back to the same emotions of the day.

I was super excited to hire The McKellars after watching their work on their website. I had an initial call with Vanessa and was delighted -- she asked so many questions about me, my relationship, my family, my husband's family, etc. I could tell that accepting a job was a meaningful thing for Vanessa -- every step of the way was a moment for Vanessa to get a sense of the couple she is working with. On the day of my wedding, Vanessa and Brent showed up on time and felt like a part of the family -- they sort of blended into the background but knew exactly what prompts to give us (and our family and friends) to capture the things they needed to. They were never in the way, they were never annoying -- they sort of just were there, with us. The result? A video that captures the love that my husband and I have for each-other, and for our families, and for our friends. You can essentially feel our love and our joy bursting through the screen. They seamlessly integrated Super 8 old-school style film for a vintage feel mixed with modern camera work for a magical video that I watch pretty much everyday. They captured the mixing of my Jewish and my husband's Chinese background and culture and they meshed them together into a video that is entertaining and fun. It makes us laugh and cry and it captures details of the day we want to remember forever. I think because Vanessa and Brent are so in love, that this contributes to their work. They knew just how to pull the best pieces together and tell our story on screen. Hire them. This video will go well beyond the money you spend -- it's something you'll cherish forever.

THE BEST videographer ever!!!! Look no further, it did my detailed research and let me tell you I am the most picky person! I only wanted the absolute best and The McKellars are the absolute best!! Everyone that watched my video is amazed. It is a Hollywood five star style! Look at their website for samples and I am telling you - you will cry even if you don't know the people.:)) In addition, Vanessa is more than a photographer - she is hands on superwomen. Super sweet and helpful with anything she can. I am over the moon with my video. Please look no further!! Best money spent!

So wonderful! I can not thank them enough. They worked so quietly I didn't even notice they where around, but the final product proves they captured everything! I am in LOVE with my video!

The McKellars are seriously THE best! I really can't say enough good things about them. From the moment of contacting them to receiving our videos, every interaction has been great, they are so friendly and easy going. They are a husband and wife team, Brent and Vanessa. Even though we couldn't meet in person before hand, I watched pretty much every video they have (which are all wonderful) and Vanessa had a phone consultation to go over all timelines, details and any unique requests for the wedding day. They even sent us a package of s'mores from Amy's Ice Cream last winter for being a client! So sweet! So, on top of their customer service being impeccable, they are a dream to work with! They make everything that is awkward about being filmed just feel normal and never seemed stressed even a bit on our stressful rainy wedding day. When we got our highlights and feature videos back we were completely blown away. Bring on the tears! Everything they create has such raw emotion mixed with beautiful film, perfect editing and brilliant creativity. We still keep hearing from our friends and family how much they love the videos and I am so grateful to have these memories to watch year after year and to show our future kids and grandkids They are a little expensive, but worth every single penny! One of the best decisions I made for my wedding!

Vanessa and her husband Brent are so fun to work with. They made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera, and captured the moments we had highlighted as our "must-haves" in conversations prior to the big day. I can't say enough how sweet this couple is and how excited my husband and I are to see the video this uber-talented team has put together for us!
