We used the chapel for the ceremony and then enjoyed the courtyard outside for the cocktail hour while they set up for the reception. They worked efficiently and exceeded my expectations. They work exclusively with Russo’s catering and Russo’s also did an excellent job. The food was delicious! I highly recommend this venue.

e owner’s clarity and communication was 10/10. I visited the space many times and each time it was always so welcoming and clean. I loved that they offered early access, uplighting, a patio area, and had a required caterer. They had other add-on options that I assume other brides and grooms would appreciate. I would choose them if I had to plan another wedding all over again.

s of the area are from long ago. I was very surprised how great this venue was for my niece’s wedding. It was set up perfectly for their wedding of 100-150 people. The transition from wedding ceremony to reception was magnificent. We gathered in a courtyard space right off the hall while the wedding party took pictures, and the room was transition to the reception hall. It went very smooth. Special note. My wife lost one of her cherished earrings and thought it may have been lost at the venue. We called and left a message asking if they could look around to see if the earring was there. This was a long shot, but we felt it was worth a try. On our drive back home, the owner called us and said when the facility opens back up they will look around for it. Just our luck we heard back from the owner saying that he found the earring and would mail it to us. Wow! Everything went well including the finding the cherished earring.

in person and as soon as you walk in you are greeted by a beautiful lobby area that flows through to the bar area then leads into the most beautiful ceremony/reception chapel area with 30 foot beamed ceilings and upper lighting. It absolutely takes your breathe away every time and when it did, we just knew this was the place we wanted to get married. The courtyard is beautiful and such a great perk to the space, as well as the bridal suite downstairs and the groom lounge. The owner Phillip was great to work with and helped answer any questions that we had. We also moved our wedding date up several months - Phillip was very accommodating and made that a breeze to do. Phillip also arranged for us to drop off our wedding decor early instead of having to bring it the day of, which was another major way him and his team went above and beyond for us. Also wanted to give a shout out to Rob who was part of Phillip's team for really working with us on the chair setup and making sure we had everything the day of. Would recommend this place to anyone!

Phillip made sure we could make that final call the morning of, which took so much stress off of us. He was communicative and accommodating through the whole process. rd, We also paid an extra fee for their bridal suite (located on the lower level) the morning of the wedding so the bride and all 8 bridesmaids, plus flower girl and mother of bride and mother of groom could do hair and makeup (by other vendors). There was plenty of seating to relax when we weren’t having our hair or make up done. Everything was very clean as well.

Russo's is the exclusive catering company for the McPherson venue, meaning you are obligated to use their food/cake/services/etc, with no other options. To clarify: Russo's food and service for the actual wedding was amazing! However, working with them throughout the planning process was frustrating at times: the coordinator seemed disorganized, and communication could have been much better. Often it took weeks to receive an email response, and we repeated our preferences multiple times. We were also really bummed that the staff cleaned away all the cake towards the end of the night before we could even try it. Despite the issues, overall we loved having our wedding there, and would recommend The McPherson to other couples.

. . With our first event being our son's rehearsal dinner, for 55, and now our 2nd event being a surprise party for less than 50, we can't recommend The McPherson enough. We want an excuse to have another party there. With the option for indoor/outdoor, multiple bars if needed, tvs for slideshows, and a PA system that can pump up the music, we absolutely love it there. Everybody that attends for the first time are surprised how beautiful and accommodating it is. Oh, and with Russo's catering, we had plenty of gluten free options for the celiacs in our family. . Anyway, you can't go wrong and the team here will make sure you have it the way you need it!

We had our wedding in February and they offered a discount since we were booking during off season. Also, the venue has it's own parking lot which is a life saver in the Central West End neighborhood. Couldn't recommend this venue more.

orld! The bridal suite was a great place for all of us girls to get ready and the guys enjoyed hanging out in the grooms room! Philip was great to work with and everyone there was so nice and took great care of us! Even after the wedding, we had accidentally left some stuff behind and they held onto it for us until we were able to go pick it up. I will always recommend this venue and it will always hold a special place in my heart!

He never made me feel like I was a burden which I’m sure I was with as many questions as I had. He was quick to respond to each and every one of my inquiries via text. Once we were certain this was the place, Phillip put me in touch with Emily from Russos. Russos is their exclusive caterer. I am so grateful they had a meal plan that fit our budget. The meal was absolutely delicious including our meals for those with dietary restrictions. We had a carved beef that was to die for! Phillip was present the night of the event to make sure our sound and visuals were up and running and he even put our company logos up on the bar screens for some added flair. This was an added touch he did just because. The catering staff were very-respectful of our presentation as they provided dinner service during the presentation. Long story, not short, everything was perfect for our guests and we will for sure be booking more events here at the McPherson. Not to mention I am also planning a wedding so this was great for a trial run. While on sight I got to check out the bridal suite and it was like nothing I had seen before!! Absolutely stunning! Thank you Phillip for all your support! I will for sure be seeing you again very soon!

a courtyard ceremony (which is on the venue property) you have to pay an extra $295... THEN you have to pay for each individual chair (was $1.50 when we signed our contract, but increased to $3 by wedding time, luckily only had to pay the 1.50) and a setup/delivery/take down fee as well... you also have only one choice for a caterer, which was a pain as well due to the upcharges for that. but that will be on the caterer review

Thank you Phillip for making our daughter's reception a dream come true and being there for us through the planning process! I highly recommend this venue! I was able to visit the venue several times before my wedding to measure things, get eyes on the venue to help with my vision for the day, and show loved ones before the day of. small to medium size wedding. We had 125 guests and it was perfect for our size. Many great perks about this venue including 1) its natural décor lends itself to minimal decoration needed, 2) It is an “easy button” for decisions as the bar, food, linens, and cake are all handled by the one caterer, 3) parking lot included, 4) bridal suite and grooms quarters, 5) many onsite options for pictures. HOWEVER, I am dropping to 3 stars for the following reasons: 1. PLEASE go read reviews on Russo’s catering before booking with them. They are the only caterer and I experienced many difficulties with them. The food and day of experience was excellent – service leading to the event was POOR. This should not affect the score of the venue BUT because they are the ONLY caterer it must by default. 2. Venue coordinator never referred to me by my name ONCE. I do not expect to be friends but I would have appreciated him at least pretending to know who I was when I called. 3. In the intro meeting, you are given a packet with “all the info you need to know”. Turns out that’s all the info you will get. “Refer to the packet”. I reached out with questions here and there (reasonable amount and never emergent). He would respond immediately but he would let you know that he was “out to dinner with his family” or “he wasn’t working today” but he could talk. Made you feel like you were inconveniencing him when you just wanted to schedule a meeting to go over some questions. Tried to schedule a final touch point and was asked “well what do you want to know? Did you meet with the caterer? We can talk about this when we get closer.” I had to direct this instead of him making sure I had all of the final items made and needed. I found this part of my experience very stressful when I paid the venue and it is his sole job to coordinate. I finally got his attention FOUR DAYS before the wedding so I could have that discussion. 4. The “extra” items that they provide will nickel and dime you to death after paying a nice sum to rent the venue. They are due 30 days ahead of time – again because I couldn’t schedule a time to talk, I got the bill three days ahead of time. He then had the audacity to make sure that I got the bill and to hand a copy to my bridesmaid when she walked in so he could make sure I paid. 5. If you have your ceremony indoors, there is a hidden charge from the catering company Russo’s not mentioned in any of the paperwork provided by the McPherson. It is $2 per person. All this said, I would definitely not change our venue, but I wish someone had left an honest review so that I could have known these items going in.

He was quick to respond to my emails/texts and answered all of our questions. The morning of he offered us water, ice, etc for our coolers and for the bridal suite. The venue itself is very clean, and the bridal suite was an added plus for us!

ith from the start. This is the first and only venue I took a tour of- we just knew the second we walked in and started talking that it was the right place. The getting ready area for the bridal party downstairs is a huge plus- our HMUA team loved it. The main space and bar area are absolutely beautiful. It was super hot the day of our wedding so we didn’t want to drag our wedding party around too much for pictures- we were delighted that the plants in the outdoor courtyard area were blooming and it turned out to be the perfect spot for taking pictures! Loved everything about our experience here- thank you Phil!!

e had an outdoor ceremony in their huge courtyard that was just gorgeous. And the courtyard was great for the cocktail hour with a separate bar in addition to the main bar. Short lines !. The main reception hall has dramatic tall arched ceiling and really cool mood lighting. The dance floor lighting was also great. Altho I did not get to see it, my wife was able to visit our niece in the bride’s suite and she said it was the best she has ever seen. All in all a beautiful venue that you will always remember. As a plus for us we were able to book a very nice AirBnB that was right next door.

The grooms space is small so might be crowded for a large grooms party. Exclusive vendor is Russo's who was great to work with as well!
