The Meadows was the perfect pick for our wedding! We love nature, and we also wanted something that was a bit more casual, while not compromising on the guest experience. This venue is the perfect mix of that as there is not a bad view on the property, and they are flexible to tailor their services to your needs. We loved the outdoor vibe, but it also has excellent rain plans with the concrete-pad tent+main space, which made a May wedding date less stressful!
We did all of our beverages through their bar/winery, but we actually ended up catering Chipotle and going full DIY on all the appetizers/dessert. So many venues limit what you can bring or lock you to using their in-house catering, so it was refreshing to have freedom over that. Many of the other venues in our search were also predatory with the way they handled pricing, and The Meadows couldn't be further from that. They are sensible with costs, but most importantly they are straight forward about it. Being able to accurately budget and know what we could expect gave me confidence they could be trusted with the rest of our big day.
They are a newer venue, so there were some questions they had to figure out for the first time, but they were always prompt and easy to communicate with. The whole operation is a family business and clearly a labor of love (the art inside the tasting room is jaw dropping) and we couldn't be more pleased with how our day went! :)
Nikki and her staff were excellent, the venue was exceptional. I would highly recommend Vineyard View Winery for your event.

The Meadows is a four-season, lakefront venue on the shores of beautiful Seneca Lake. Located at Sweet Farm and home to Vineyard View Winery's Seneca Lake tasting room, our 100-person event space can be expanded during the warmer seasons to host up to 225 people in an indoor- outdoor experience. The Meadows offers sweeping lake views, stunning fields of flowers and heirloom vegetables, and optional experiences to spend time with rescued farm animals.
The property we sit on has a rich history in the Seneca Lake region. It was one of the first grape growing properties established in the early 1800s, eventually becoming the site of the first organic winery in North America. Our historic house, barns, and vineyards tell a unique story of farming in the Finger Lakes.
Hosting your event at The Meadows supports Sweet Farm’s nonprofit mission—a regenerative vegetable and flower farm and sanctuary to over 150 rescued animals—while offering an on-the-farm experience that’s as meaningful as it is memorable.
