We booked with The Meeting House 9 or 10 months before our wedding - the grounds are lovely and the space is really romantic. We made all the payments but about 4 months before the...
wedding, when we wanted to do a walk-through, communication fell off. We were then told they were in a conflict with the town of Tiverton over permitting and may not be able to host weddings. They officially cancelled on us 3 months before our wedding and reimbursed us. As far as I know, this is no longer a functioning wedding venue.
Great grounds. Wedding events flowed nicely from outdoor nuptials to tented dinner to dancing in the rustic building. Lots of garden room for younger guests to run and play. The...
site would be amenable to many different kinds of events. We had close to 100 guests and there was plenty of room. Parking is a bit tight - we managed that with a party bus. Staff was helpful in implementing my daughter's vision for the wedding.
My husband and I had our wedding at The Meeting House this past weekend and we cannot say enough wonderful things about this venue. It was the first one we looked at during our se...
arch and we knew from the moment we walked in that it was going to be stunning. The rustic vibe with the gorgeous landscape, even on the rainy day we had, was an amazing backdrop for a beautiful ceremony. Betsy was easy to work with and very attentive to any questions we had. She provided resources to the awesome vendors we ended up using on our special day. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
This venue is just so beautiful. If you are looking for a rustic place with an almost whimsical outdoor setting, then this is the place for you. Betsy was my coordinator and she ...
is an amazing woman. She is so incredibly helpful and kind. She gave so much helpful advice through my wedding planning without being pushy about anything. This is also in an amazing location - Tiverton Four Corners is such a quaint little historical area!
I wanted a relaxed vibe for my wedding because I had my closest friends and family, totaling around 115 guests. We had a vintage theme with pops of my 3 accent colors, and the Meet...
ing House was a charming setting with character, but also a clean slate for me to bring in my own details. The coordinators at the MH are so sweet and professional (Betsy, Alyssa, & Nicki were the ones I met). We had everything on site including the ceremony, which we had on the hill of the grounds. We used two of the trees at the bottom on the hill to start the walk way entrance, and it was perfect. For a smaller wedding (30-150) I definitely recommend this venue. We had a tent for dining and used the MH building for the dance floor. Practically every guest said it was the most fun they had ever had at a wedding. The only risk you run is weather if you're using a tent, but it all worked out for us. Just in case plan for a connector from the tent to the MH if the forecast looks if-y. Great location being in the charming, artistic 4 Corners area as well. :)
My husband and I really wanted a rustic location that allowed us to use the caterer, bartender, etc that we wanted. This place is located in the beautiful four corners of Tiverton...
, yet we never noticed it! Extensive grounds and a beautiful building allow you to truly make the wedding your own. Betsy was amazing and kind. She presented all of the information up front and there were no surprises (unlike our caterer's business manager). Extremely inexpensive, but keep in mind everything will have to be brought in-tables, tent (if you want more than 80 people), dishes, etc. It is all worth it though!! We were so happy with the wedding and people are still raving about the location.
My husband and I fell in love with the Meeting House on our first visit. It's a unique location for a couple who wants to get away from the cookie cutter wedding. We had dinner out...
side under a tent and cocktails and dancing inside the Meeting House. The grounds are beautiful and my guests loved the location. It ended up raining on our wedding day, but it was still beautiful and perfect.
We had a wonderful experience having our wedding at The Meeting House. Betsy Horak was amazing and really helped out in making our day special. She has great ideas for designing an...
d decorating and really helps you to utilize the space as well as keep you on track in booking vendors! If you are looking for a quiet rustic location it is the perfect venue!
