The Menagerie

The best thing about the Menagerie is its top level customer service. I was so lucky that I stumbled across this independent jewelry and bridal registry store in Austin, especially because I live in Philadelphia! I was visiting my parents for Thanksgiving in Austin and I contacted the Menagerie ahead of time to look at a ring that I had seen online. They ordered it so that I could look at it, and while I was there I ended up looking at their selection of amazing and unique rings, and picked a different one! They ordered and shipped the ring to my address in Philadelphia. The ring was too big and I felt badly having to go back to them to exchange it, but Leslie was so reassuring and on top of things. She re-ordered a smaller size and the Menagerie covered the shipping costs. Their main concern was getting me the right ring and making sure that I was completely satisfied! Because of this excellent customer service I decided to open a bridal registry there on my next visit to Austin several months later. Kelsey spent a lot of time with me and my mom to pick out the right dinnerware and we ended up with some really special things that you can't find at the big box stores. They gave us a bottle of champagne and celebrated with us. Every time someone bought a gift on the registry, I received a hand-written card in the mail with the item and the buyer's message. These personal touches go a long way for a great experience. I kept in contact with Kelsey by email afterwards to make changes and she was always very helpful. I did have some issues with the website, especially since they switched over their website during my engagement, but the staff was always helpful in sorting things out. Another plus is that they wait until after the wedding to send everything in one shipment (unless you request otherwise), so we weren't getting overwhelmed with boxes all the time and didn't have to worry about returns and exchanges throughout the process. We also ended up moving after the wedding so we had everything sent to our new address instead of having to move everything ourselves. I would definitely encourage other brides to consider adding a Menagerie registry because the customer service makes for a completely different experience and the unique and high-quality pieces you'll find make it worth it.

The owner, Vickie, is a gem. She worked very closely with my fiance and I recently when we needed to re-set his grandmother's stone in order to make my engagement ring. Vickie listened to all of our questions and concerns, did a ton of research and guided us throughout the entire process. She is so vibrant and energetic and always welcomes us with open arms. Vickie and her wonderful team also made setting up our registry a fun experience! Everyone who works there is friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. My husband and I had our wedding bands made there too, and they are perfect. We will be loyal customers for life. They are the very best!!!

The Menagerie is a small jeweler and fine gift store that really has unique and beautiful stuff. They are very easy to work with and were very patient with me as I deciding on my wedding band. My husband had also purchased my engagement ring from them and we were both very happy with everything. Very classy place, great customer service, unique jewelry!
