We had our wedding weekend (ceremony and reception) here in August 2015 and the Inn was perfect for our small family wedding with about 40 guests. We booked most all of the rooms i...
n the Inn and so the wedding was a special weekend in a private venue with friends and family. The staff and owners (Jim and Lisa) were so kind, helpful, and easy to work with. The Inn chef saved the day with the cake, Lisa helped me sew a few buttons back onto my wedding dress, and Jim even announced us walking into the reception. All the guests including the kids enjoyed the house and the grounds. For rehearsal dinner and following the wedding, guests were able to walk through to downtown Mercersburg which is a beautiful little town. Breakfast was included with each room and the day of and following the wedding all our guests were able to meet for breakfast which was such a nice treat. We had a beautiful outdoor ceremony, cocktail hour inside and out, and dinner in the porch dining room, followed by guest relaxing outside. Following dinner we played yards games and cards, and we all enjoyed and relaxed inside and out on the beautiful summer day. We also have lovely pictures around the property that will forever remind us of such a beautiful weekend.
We recently had our ceremony and reception at the Mercersburg Inn, and it was an amazing experience. The venue was the perfect size for our wedding, (about 60), and we were able to...
accommodate most of our guests in the 3 floors of unique rooms. Jim and Lisa were very professional, and helped us with everything from finding vendors who were familiar with the inn to storing our cake after we left it on their porch while hurrying to our honeymoon. The main hall and cocktail room are great, one of our guests deemed the inn as looking "like a page out of a fairy tale." A most excellent place to get married.
The moment my hubby and I walked into the Inn, I knew we had to have our reception there! Not only is the building absolutely gorgeous, the service from Jim and Lisa is flawless. T...
he history alone is enough to intrigue people. I was lucky enough to stay 2 nights there and the rooms are to die for. Each room has its own decor and story behind it. The Inn was large enough to hold my 100 people guest list. The food is top of the line. Better than I ever expected for wedding food that is made in large quantities. Breakfast is equally as delish. I can tell you, you won't be let down by the Mercersburg Inn. They aim to please! I cannot wait to go back for our anniversary!
