The Midnight Gem is a wedding and special event venue located in Swisher, IA. Conveniently situated just minutes away from The Eastern Iowa Airport and an array of hotels, the property offers something for local and out-of-town guests alike. Complete with modern, industrial designs, the venue provides a charming setting for milestone moments.
The Midnight Gem consists of 8,000 square feet of event space designed to impress to-be-weds and their guests. When celebrating here, couples can share their special day with up to 300 people. Festivities can be held in the venue’s vaulted reception hall which features exposed ceiling beams and other industrial accents. For those who have been dreaming of celebrating in the open air, the covered patio is available. Here, couples and their guests can admire bucolic countryside views as they celebrate the newlyweds’ new chapter together. Another outdoor option, the courtyard, can also be used for special occasions. Thanks to its bistro lighting, fire pits, and lawn games, those celebrating are sure to have a memorable time. Prior to the day’s dazzling highlights, to-be-weds can prepare in separate get-ready suites with loved ones.
The attentive team at The Midnight Gem takes pride in helping couples host unforgettable celebrations. They aim to help to-be-weds seamlessly turn their visions into realities while remaining on budget. The staff will be there to set up and clean up the event space, allowing couples more time to spend with family and friends. Wooden industrial-chic tables and cross-back chairs that align with the venue’s aesthetic will be provided for each occasion.

Hello! We are owners of The Midnight Gem, a husband and wife duo that love to plan weddings and events! We have been together since 8th grade (yes- middle school sweethearts!) After both graduating from The University of Iowa, we finally tied the knot in summer of 2019 and built our first home in the North Liberty area. Not long after we decided to take on some more new adventures- chasing our dream of building a wedding and event venue and growing our family! We are extremely passionate and can't wait to help you plan the event of your dreams. We look forward to meeting you!
