Tyler is one of my favorite people! His work is amazing! He makes you feel super special when he’s taking your picture, and he knows all the best poses / angles. He’s a wedding expert and even helped with something totally unrelated, i.e. how to put on my veil. I plan to hire him for any future photos or events.

Tyler is AMAZING! I will be using him for every photo opportunity that comes up in our lives. He is a total fly on the wall when needed, and gives great direction for all the photos so they turn out perfect. He is so fun and easy going it 100% shows in the pictures that we are enjoying the process. Plus he sends some sample pics the night of the wedding! And they are all PERFECT!

I could go on and on about Tyler but his photos truly speak for themselves!! Tyler and his team at The Mill Photography provide absolutely top notch service and products! Tyler is very laid back, which made us feel so comfortable. We are not the type to love being in front of the camera but he made it so easy and low key for us (with HIGH key photos!) I never could have imagined the pictures he has given us and we will cherish them forever. I honestly feel so lucky to have found this team. I cannot say enough amazing things about Tyler and his team! I was referred to Tyler by another Austin-based photographer, and I loved his style and the impressiveness of his photos. When I spoke to Tyler for the first time, I loved his attitude and humor. He is also extremely responsive, which I greatly value. Finally, the big day arrived and OH MY GOODNESS! I am SO glad I had Tyler as my photographer! I did a lot of research, and at first I thought that Tyler's pricing was almost too good to be true! I requested to hear from a couple of his references as well as another photographer's, and everyone who used Tyler RAVED about him and couldn't say enough good things -- my decision was clear! On the wedding day, Tyler wrangled my huge bridal party, kept everything moving as quickly and efficiently as possible, and sent us some photo samples the next day! I was stunned - I couldn't believe we looked so good! When we received the full album, I was blown away by how much I loved every photo (no pics with an ugly face or unflattering angle!). We hired Tyler for our wedding in February. He and his assistant, Beverly, were nothing short of incredible. When I asked my husband what he'd like to say, he said - Amazing. Ninja-like. Good with kids. ;) Prior to the big day, Tyler was super helpful and informative. He was flexible and accommodating when I had questions and requests. We ended up adding an hour to their time for the day of, and they both even showed up that day earlier than expected, and got started right away. He and Beverly were both incredibly professional and knew how to capture every moment, big and small, and corral everyone for all of the usual family wedding photos. He was also great with our ring bearer, who was 3 years old. Both Tyler and Beverly captured so many amazing moments. One of the things we loved about Tyler's photojournalistic style when we first saw his website (and pictures he took at a friend's wedding) was how he was able to find the small, heartfelt moments and capture them. Many times during our evening, he'd stop where he was and turn around quickly to capture a moment he saw happening. He and Beverly were able to capture pictures and turn them into art. We were standing in tall grass that was not pretty, and the resulting image was beautiful. They also captured the fun of our reception. My family has commented that you can see the feeling of that night in those images. Tyler also called my husband and I outside at sunset and captured one of our favorite pictures from the night. I could go on and on. He also got us about 20 images THE NIGHT OF THE WEDDING. It was incredible, we couldn't believe how fast he got those first images to us. How did you do it so quickly, Tyler?! He does what he calls "Monday morning pictures," where he gets you some photos the day after so you can post them on social media right away. I had so many friends saying, "How did you get your photos so fast?!" Basically, just hire Tyler and The Mill Photography Studio. You will not be disappointed.

You have to book Mill Photography Studio as your photographer right now. If I could give more than 5 stars I would; Tyler was literally the best decision we made for our wedding. He was happy to work with us on our changing timeline and come to both the venue and the location where we were getting ready beforehand, which we were so thankful for and he even arrived slightly earlier to get started. Even now a month later, we are still getting people messaging/telling us how outstanding his work is and we just received the full gallery at the beginning of this week and are in love with how well he captured the whole day. My wife and I both hate having our pictures taken and I had expressed this to Tyler beforehand; he assured us he would be with us every step of the way and we didn't even notice him throughout the day, so we were amazed by all the candid shots he managed to get off us (and he made us look great). Tyler was so focused on the details, our guests, and the overall celebration that he told the greatest story through our pictures; things that we didn't even realised he had captured showed up in our gallery and we are in love with all the pictures. In fact multiple friends of ours have said that he has taken the actual best pictures of them they have ever had done! He will most definitely be our go-to photographer from now on and we will be recommending him to everyone who will listen. Tyler is simply amazing. A true master of his craft, and easily the best money that we spent on our wedding. We met him at a wedding expo, and were blown away by the quality of his photos. Not only are they breathtaking, but he captures the essence of the moment. He notices the smallest details, and truly captures the emotion. A bonus is his turn around time is AMAZING! We literally woke up the next morning to sample photos, and had hundreds of edited photos less than a month after the wedding. But not only that - he is a truly a pleasure to work with. Awesome personality. Extremely responsive. Very organized, and detailed like you would not believe. He provided us with the most amazing schedule for the pre and post ceremony photos. He thought of everything, and I knew I didn't have to worry about it. And when I showed up 20 minutes late because I was having panic attacks, he just rolled with it. He got me to relax, and he managed to organize a slightly chaotic group women. I seriously cannot say enough good things about him. If you have the extra money in your budget - hire him. He's worth every penny, and you will not be disappointed.

I would HIGHLY recommend Tyler and Tiffany. He was able to come down to San Antonio for our wedding. We did not get a chance to meet until the day of the wedding, but everything was extremely smooth. There motto is "make your friends jealous" and I can attest to the fact that they live up to it. Not only did I love my photos, but the next morning when I woke up he already had ones for me to look at. I also got my entire set of photos back while on I was on my honeymoon. Friends and family were stunned at how quickly I received everything. My photos were fantastic. He captured every moment. It was so fun to see all of the things that I missed and it was thanks to Tyler and Tiffany. They were live savers in many ways. As we were getting on the bus, which couldn't fit through the gate of my parents neighborhood so we trekked down to the main street, one of my bridesmaids realized she left her bouquet at the house. Tiffany, without hesitation, said I'll get it and ran back to the house. I would highly, highly recommend!

I can’t even describe how amazing Tyler is. He is incredibly nice and easy to talk to. He was personable – getting to know and making jokes with family and wedding party before the ceremony. He remembered everyone’s names, and made an effort throughout the night to capture pictures of those important people. He is well-organized – he knows what questions to ask beforehand to get everything in order. He sent me a detailed schedule of the wedding day’s pictures months ahead of time – and he even showed up an hour and a half early the day of! During the ceremony and reception, Tyler and his assistant were everywhere (but never in the way!). He was standing on benches and kneeling on the ground, and nobody I talked to ever saw him take a break. Finally, Tyler’s work is outstanding. The pictures are nothing short of incredible. Plus we were able to see a sneak peak of pictures that he had up online by the next day. My husband and I were able to spend the first night of our honeymoon looking through pictures – you can’t beat that. All said, I couldn’t imagine a better experience with any other wedding photographer and highly recommend Tyler. Can I hire him to follow me around and document my every day?

Where do I start. We were getting married in Gruene and my fiance and I lived in Houston. We had never met Tyler in person until the day of our wedding and he KNOCKED.IT.OUT.OF.THE.PARK. Our wedding was outside and on the day of it was POURING rain but it didn't phase Tyler and Tiffany in the least. He was in the mud getting shots, running around in puddles to get good angles - seriously the best attitude ever and he was SO FUN! Tyler and Tiffany aren't just photographers, they're artists. Their photos are not your run of the mill standard wedding photos, they are fun, candid and truly capture the evening's highlights! Did I mention that he did an AWESOME sneak preview on his instagram the day after so we could continue to relive the best night ever? THANK YOU Tyler and Tiffany! Y'all were the best!!!

I've gotten to work with Tyler or his team a few times in the last 14 months and it has been a pleasure each time. Planning and prep is organized, thorough and considerate! On the wedding day, Tyler is professional, super fun and flexible when needed. For example, this last weekend- it was raining cats and dogs. Tyler was literally sitting in mud at one point because it was the best angle for his shot. He has a positive attitude and is going to do what it takes to give his clients the best! He is also timely and consistent in turn around times. As a wedding planner, my clients have particularly loved the teasers he provides right away. Those hold them over until they can get the full album! Lot's of fun and personality with Tyler... great work ethic and end product as well!

Tyler with The Mill Photography is the ultimate, dream wedding photographer! He has his whole system of how he gets the necessary pictures done without wasting your precious time on your wedding day. And, the pictures are the most gorgeous things you have ever seen. He lives up to the motto "make your friends jealous." He is also extremely professional, showing up early to make sure he captures all the pre wedding set up. He really listens and executes any special pictures you want. Plus, you get a teaser of a few pictures from your wedding posted on social media that night and a preview of 60-100 pictures within the first week. It was great not having to wait so long to get the professional pictures back. Within a month, or so, after our wedding we had 1,100 professionally touched, amazing photos from Tyler. It is impossible to pick a favorite!! Not to mention, he is super fun with his wrist band, joining the dance party to catch the best moments at the after party reception. Finally, his wife, Olivia, handles the wedding album. She is so easy to work with and made us the most gorgeous wedding keepsake. So much fun to be around Tyler and his second shooter, Tiffany, for my daughter's June wedding. We love every picture and will enjoy them forever!

Tyler was an amazing wedding photographer! A true pro in every way possible. We barely noticed him taking candid pictures the whole time, but he captured all the joy of the night. He was fun and direct. The photos we've seen so far are beautiful!

High-quality photography was one of my top 3 priorities when planning, so I did a lot of research and interviewed 3 photographers before choosing Tyler from The Mill Photography Studio. He is a true master of moments, and even captures sweet, candid shots while looking in the other direction and shooting with his camera resting casually at his side. Very sneaky and unobtrusive! This stealthy shooting in combination with his laid back personality and humor were perfect for my husband who hates getting his photo taken. Tyler captures memories with a candid, yet artful style while also balancing with beautiful portraits. All the shots looked natural without any awkward posing. My brother-in-law (one of the groomsmen) who got married one year prior commented several times throughout the day on how great our photographer was. The Monday after our wedding, Tyler posted a “teaser” on FB some stunning shots, and less than 30 days later our final collection of photos was ready to view. Gorgeous work, wonderfully funny and easy going, and very professional! Very highly recommended!

Our photographer Todd was great he has an exciting personality and he is fun like me and my husband, he caught moments we never even remembered. He also took our engagement photos and they were beautiful and he worked with us with distance because we were stationed an hour away. He captured not only our moment but our style as well he is a must have photographer.

My husband and I used Tyler for our wedding photos, bridal portraits, and engagement photos and he is absolutely incredible! Not only is he one of the nicest guys but he's also so creative, flexible and professional. Throughout the whole process he was constantly in contact with us confirming photo shoot dates, suggesting engagement photo locations, confirming timelines,etc. My husband and I had to reschedule our engagement photos twice due to some last minute scheduling conflicts on our part, and Tyler was so understanding and sent us alternative dates right away. Both times we had to cancel on the same day of our scheduled shoot and he was so cool and nice about it. My husband and I had never been to a photo shoot and we were completely clueless but Tyler jumped in right away and directed us perfectly. He made the process so easy and fun and the photos were so incredible! We told him we wanted a variety of fun, colorful, unique pictures and he provided that and more! He was so considerate and prepared at my bridal shoot as well! The pictures were unique and beautiful! He was so prepared that he even brought a sheet to place under my dress for outside photos (me, my mom, and my maid of honor didn't even think of bringing a sheet haha)! The photos from our wedding were truly phenomenal! He was able to capture tons of candid photos as well as provide a variety of photos with different lighting, focuses, and colors. To top it all off, after each photo shoot he sent numerous sample photos within a day or two and provided the rest of the photos within a weeks time. He's so good, he was even able to provide 50 + sample photos the day after our wedding! A photographer is an important part of the wedding and I don't think I could have picked a better photographer! He does an incredible job and I'd HIGHLY recommend his services. I forgot to mention...Tyler did my husband's brother's wedding as well a year before ours and did an amazing job as well...we were so impressed by their pictures that we made sure to schedule a meeting with Tyler ASAP. Just goes to show how consistent he is at doing a phenomenal job!

My husband and I married in November of 2011, and are so happy that we chose the Mill Photography! Tyler was very professional, and had another photographer at the wedding to make sure all angles were covered. We couldn't have asked for more perfect pictures. We hired The Mill Photography Studio for our wedding. Tyler was great. He made us feel so comfortable taking pictures. We had him take our engagement pictures before he took our wedding pictures and they came out amazing. At our wedding Tyler was awesome, he made himself part of the wedding and got amazing shots. When we took pictures with my family and friends his personality made people open up and be themselves so he was able to capture great shots. My goodness this man has TALENT! Tyler isn't just good at taking pictures he's exceptional at capturing each and every moment. The big day goes by so fast that the best decision you can make throughout your whole wedding planning is to book Tyler for your photographer. Looking back, things flew by so fast but when I look at my pictures they take me back to that special moment! Tyler is very on point at remembering what family member goes in what picture and who is on the brides/grooms side. Working with Tyler and The Mill Photography Studio was one of the easiest parts of the wedding process. I saw work that Tyler had done as I was deciding upon other vendors and knew immediately I wanted him to do our photos for our big day. We did engagement photos, which he was very easy to work with, as my fiance is not a big picture taker. My bridal portraits, were also amazing. The best of all though were our wedding day photos. He captured some great moments from theh ceremony to the reception and all of our guests rave about the photos. Also, he had such quick turnaround to give you a sample of your wedding day samples - we had about 50 to review the next day!

If you just got engaged, The Mill should be the first vendor you hire for your wedding! We could not be happier with Tyler and all of his hard work he put into our pictures. We chose a package which included an engagement and bridal session in addition to the wedding night, and we have received more compliments on all of the photos. Not only is Tyler an incredibly talented photographer, he is friendly and fun and made us feel comfortable and relaxed for all pictures. Oh, and did I mention how fast this guy is? We had a sampling of our wedding pictures THE NEXT DAY! Also, after the engagement and bridal sessions, we received proofs that same week, and were amazed at the quality and the speed at which we received them. The night of the wedding Tyler was right in the middle of the action the whole night getting amazing shots of everyone having a great time and we were able to enjoy the night knowing that we had such an awesome photographer. Tyler is a dream photographer. I can't say enough good things about him and his business. He's punctual, talented, fun, and reliable. His photos are far better than others I've seen. Everyone loved my engagement photos. Many of my guests said they enjoyed the company of the photographer. He was there at 1:30pm ready to go with an assistant. He stayed until 10pm, when we left in the get a way car. He was on the ball and captured ever significant moment. He got the best pictures of the babies and a gorgeous in the moment photo of my grandparents. This isn't the cheapest photographer by far. He a bit on the pricey side, BUT (I can't stress this enough) you get what you pay for. Skip on other things- like crazy expensive uncomfortable shoes, and budget for this amazing photographer. No regrets.

Not only is Tyler an amazing photographer, he is extremely flexible and accommodating. We used him for our engagement photos, bridal portraits and for our wedding night. At our engagement session, he really went the extra mile to find creative spots and a variety of different places. On the night of our wedding I didn't even realize he was around, and yet he captured all of our expressions and priceless moments. He did a great job getting photos of all of our guests as well. He was also wonderful to work with and always responded to us very quickly. We hope to use him again one day for our family photos!

We used Tyler for a total of 3 shoots now, 2 engagement shoots, and our wedding. We continue to get so many compliments on the pictures Tyler has taken for us. Tyler is fun and easy to work with. Every other vendor I mentioned his name to had nothing but good things to say about him and talked about how he was "the best." He does beautiful work, and knows how to get great shots. I wish we still lived in Austin, we would use him for everything!

I have nothing bad to say about Tyler Schmitt. I love his work, I loved how organized and professional he was. I am still getting complements on our wedding photos he took back on 2007!!! Love, love, love Tyler. We were debating between hiring Tyler and another photographer. Tyler gave us a DVD of a wedding he photographed at One World Theatre and we were sold. He clearly is an artist and has a wonderful eye. Tyler is a professional. When we went to meet with him the first time, he had put together a nice PowerPoint presentation of his portfolio. The presentation was quite impressive. He is funny and cool to boot. Personality aside, the quality of Tyler's work is top notch. Outside of taking the stills/portraits, I barely noticed Tyler was even at the wedding. He does such a great job blending in,so the candids truly were candid. He caught so many wonderful moments on film. I cannot begin to count the number of compliments I have recieved on our photos. Because of Facebook, so many people who wern't even involved in our wedding saw our pictures and loved them. People have asked me for Tyler's contact information because they love our pictures so much and wanted to recommend him to another Austin friend. I feel very blessed that our wedding planner recommended that we meet with Tyler. He is fabulous!
