The Mill Street Tavern sits on a working creek. Shrimp boats come home past the windows, dolphins surface off the Roof Deck, and the Ravenel Bridge sits on the horizon. It is a real Mount Pleasant restaurant first, which is exactly why it works for wedding weekends: the kitchen, the bar and the staff run every night, so your guests get a restaurant team, not a rented room and a stranger with a clipboard.
Couples use the building in pieces. The Creekside Dining Room seats 48 behind wall-to-wall windows on the water, with period mill artifacts on the walls and a screen for the slideshow. The Main Dining Room seats 75 and has its own satellite bar. The Tavern Lounge, built around a bar cut from a single piece of live white oak, opens onto the covered Veranda for cocktails beside the creek. Upstairs, the Roof Deck seats 80 or holds 125 standing under sun sails, with its own full bar and private restrooms.
That flexibility suits the whole weekend: a welcome party on the Veranda, a rehearsal dinner in Creekside, a reception on the roof, a farewell brunch the next morning. Menus come from our own kitchen, with Lowcountry favorites like a rowboat raw bar of iced shrimp and oysters and a Low Country boil, plus reception, buffet and plated formats.
