The Mishawaka

coordinator, was amazing! I planned the wedding by myself so I had a TON of questions; Gary answered them quickly and kindly and never made me feel like I was bothering him. The event staff at the Mish were accommodating and helpful on the day of the wedding. Our outside wedding turned into an inside event quickly when it started to rain. Meg and her crew were able to pivot and set up the inside for dinner quickly, and when dinner was over and the rain stopped, they just as quickly pivoted to make sure the outside was ready for dancing and the rest of the evenings festivities. The food was delicious, the views and scenery were stunning, having a rushing river and a staggering mountain ridge in the background of my photos is so gorgeous. We got beautiful pictures by the river, and the lighting in the canyon was perfect; no sun in anybody's eyes. Not to mention, The Mishawaka offers a shuttle service, so I knew that all of my loved ones would arrive back in Fort Collins safely after a night of dancing and libations. We had 90 guests, but the outside event space could accommodate many more. The "Confessional Lounge" was a perfect place to do speeches. The sound set up/lighting was perfect for the live band, and after all was said and done, it was affordable! We got married on a Monday, so the price was lower than that of a Saturday, but even the weekend rates were not outrageous. I am so happy we got married at the Mish! And now we can go back for future anniversaries and have a beer by the river - this is not true of most event spaces! Thanks Gary and Meg!

Gary and Meg, the events leads, were absolutely amazing. Accommodating, great communicators, always checking to make sure we had what we needed, and also providing incredibly helpful guidance to ensure that no detail was left unconsidered. When we faced weather concerns the team quickly sprang into action implementing the weather plan we had worked on together. At the end of the event they helped us clean up and pack up. Post event they followed up to ensure we had a great event and welcomed our feedback. I haven't even mentioned the setting. What a gorgeous venue. The views are breathtaking and the venue really has everything you need to make your day special right there on site. We had a taco bar and it was really delicious. You will love these humans and this venue. I know we sure did.

ke sure everything went smoothly. The river running right by the venue really created a beautiful atmosphere for the day and their lawn space as a great spot for everyone to hang out for the day. They were on top of every detail and make sure we had no stress the day of! Super quick communicators who really want to make your day as special as you want it to be. Host your event or wedding there and you won't be disappointed!

the place is perfectly set up for a live band with a large outdoor stage. Gary and the staff were great to work with and were helpful in coordinating the day. There is a separate small house for everyone to get ready in, and we were able to camp overnight on their own private island! It was a great place to be able to show off some of Colorado beautiful nature and still be near Fort Collins. We would recommend to anyone!

I recommend the beer and wine option (you don’t need hard liquor at altitude for the out of towners), and definitely rent the buses to bring people to and from the venue. They really know what they are doing and you can trust the opinions do the folks working at the Mish. Our guests loved it, and appreciated the restaurant, restrooms, views, and space to roam around. We had 100 people, and a 9 piece band, the space was perfect. Highly recommend if you are looking for a unique and fun experience for you and your guests.

t me, the Mish is it! Friendly, laid-back staff, the perfect stage for a live band, and a rushing river right behind the ceremony site. Plenty of rafters and kayakers came through and even cheered us on! My partner and I share a love of music festivals and wild, characterful, off-the-beaten-path places, so the Mish felt special to us the minute we laid eyes on it. This isn't your average stuffy wedding venue ;) So many guests complimented the environment and said they'd never been anywhere like it, and that it made it easy for them to relax—which is exactly what we wanted!

I would highly recommend this venue not only for the amazing river backdrop and rustic setting, but also if you plan to have a band. They're an outdoor amphitheatre perfectly set up with a great sound system ~ all the equipment can be rented onsite. It was tricky to execute due to the ever-changing covid restrictions, but we ended up having a great turnout and the weather was perfect. Staff was very friendly and atmosphere has a very chill and relaxed vibe.

If you are thinking about using the mish for your event ABSOLUTELY DO IT! This place is magical and you couldn’t ask for a better staff to take care of your special day!

I highly recommend the Mishawaka as a wedding venue, especially if you want an outdoor venue. With the river right next to the space, it was a perfect blend of classic wedding, and rustic mountain setting. We were thrilled with the way everything was set up and Gary gave us tons of options for rentals, vendors, and set up. We loved it!

d they have excellent off season rates. A separate green room with a full kitchen was awesome for the wedding party to spend the day getting ready. The lack of cell service and wifi presents some minor challenges, but also means your guests are not spending the whole event on their phones.

the weather turned the morning of the wedding. We had two hourse to make an outdoor wedding an indoor one. I still managed to have the outdoor ceremony I wanted, and Mishawaka staff jumped in to help to recreated my dream day inside! It all worked out great and everyone loved the roaring fire the Gary, our shining star Mish event/catering/banquet planner made for us! If I had to choose all over I'd choose the Mish.

derstanding about everything!! They put out an amazing buffet and took car of any hiccups I had in my planning. And the venue looked AMAZING. There was long horn sheep and deer across the river for most of the day! I am incredibly grateful to have found this place to say I Do! We’re already talking about an anniversaey party at The Mish!

in place so those are two vendors you don’t have to mess with. We had a singer too so it was great for that as well, since it’s a music venue with two stage options. They do have a bus you can rent although we used alternate transportation. The staff was great, very helpful and efficient. Finally, we found the Mish very affordable for everything you get. Definitely recommend!

s have the best time we could have had. The meal was terrific, everyone was full and happy, there was plenty enough to drink (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). Pricing was very reasonable. I would say the only thing for any couples to consider if they are planning to have their wedding at the Mish is to invest in walkie-talkies because there is zero cell reception and no WiFi up there, so communication is minimal once you get into the canyon. But the staff was great, there was good food, plenty of space, a beautiful view.. Rustic and casual but also had just enough class and elegance. We couldn't have imagined better for our wedding. Thank you Gary and the Mish staff for helping us make our day the best we could have hoped for!
