The Moment is a 9-piece wedding band based in Houston, TX. We are an accomplished, experienced, and professional group of musicians who love to perform! Our members have performed at some of the country’s biggest stages such as Carnegie Hall, The Tonight Show, The Daily Show, Voodoo Fest, and The Rodeo. Our members have also played with the Houston Symphony, Houston Opera, and Houston’s biggest original band, The Suffers!
The Moment’s versatile song list is guaranteed to make any event a hit! We perform songs from your favorite top artists such as, Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, and ABBA. We also play music from the 50s to the early 2000’s capturing a perfect blend of songs that will even get Nana up on the dance floor!
The Moment is unique in that we are a self-managed band, meaning all questions and inquiries are handled directly with us, cutting out the middleman and making booking a seamless process reducing unnecessary stress leading up to your big day. Our flexibility makes us available to you at any time of the day to discuss special requests or questions that you may have. Our goals is to provide unmatched service and the highest quality entertainment, all at an affordable cost.

The Moment Band was by far the greatest part of our wedding. They were such a joy to work with and they really wowed us and our guest on the big day. We loved how flexible they were with all of our song choices and request. We also loved that everything was just one flat fee and they just took care of everything. We had the band do all of our ceremony sound/music, cocktail hour music, and then reception music and announcements. They were truly a great group to work with and they really elevated our wedding to the next level. All of our guests are still talking about how amazing they were and we can’t wait to have them at our next event.

The Moment was easily the best part of our wedding and the best purchase we made for it. They put on an amazing performance and had all of our guests jigging all night long. Scott and the band were so easy to work with and easily accommodated our song requests ( which they proceeded to execute perfectly). We requested some jam band classics and some more obscure indie songs that they knocked out of the park. We still have so many people rave about our wedding band and we owe all of that to the Moment. Do not hesitate to book these extremely talented, professional, and kind people for your special day.

The Moment MADE our wedding reception! They learned several songs that we requested and had great communication during the planning process. All band members were professional and SO talented! Not to mention, very affordable. Cannot recommend enough!

Live bands are the difference between a great wedding and an unforgettable one, and The Moment is unforgettable! Two families are coming together at a wedding, and that really happens on the dance floor if you have the right band. The Moment brings tons of great energy, and an ability to connect with everyone in the room. They had everyone young and old clapping along, smiling and laughing, and best of all, I felt like they kept bringing it back to the bride and groom, keeping them at the center of the celebration, which you don't always see from other bands/ DJs at weddings. Really great musicians, but also really great wedding professionals, too. I highly recommend this band for your wedding!

Excellent band!!!! The Moment played at our wedding (both ceremony and reception) and we could not have been happier! The music was fantastic, and all of our guests danced the whole night.

Do yourself a favor and book The Moment for your wedding. Booking this band was the second-best decision I made. Second only to marrying the best man in the world. They elevated the entire experience of our reception. I went to watch them play one of their gigs in the Houston area and was SOLD. They have incredible chemistry on stage and all the musicians look like they are genuinely having a blast performing. Their energy is infectious and brings such a fun and upbeat vibe to the dance floor. Some wedding bands I've seen feel really corny but The Moment is more than a typical wedding band. They were able to learn two sentimental songs for me and my husband and I was BLOWN AWAY by their covers. They were also able to work seamlessly when taking breaks and playing songs via aux to keep the party going. Scott is professional but also dedicated to throwing a great party and show. He was lovely to work with. Each musician is individually talented and they come together really well as an ensemble. They have an extensive list of songs and are fairly priced compared to some other quotes I had gotten. They have won themselves a fan for life and my husband and I are looking forward to enjoying them perform at more Houston gigs in the future! I cannot say enough positive things about our experience and I am so grateful that they were a part of our day.

Scott and the Band were incredible! 10/10 would recommend for any event. We got so many complements at the wedding about how fun the music was, and several guests asked for their contact information to go see them play at other performances around town. They were fantastic! The Moment Band was so easy to work with, they handled all our MC/ music needs, and more than anything they were such a great group of people. The band didn’t feel like another vendor- we would be happy to invite all of them as guests to our wedding!

Seriously… hire this band. They play tons of songs (variety from at least 5 decades), their singers are versatile, their musicians are talented and well-practiced, and you can see that they truly ENJOY what they do. I have known Scott Sofer for almost my entire life, and he still acted as a consummate professional in delivering an amazing performance for our event. It was easy to contract, set the date, choose songs, and he worked directly with our venue to ensure what equipment the band needed to bring vs what the venue already had in place. The Moment is a talented, professional, music-loving band that will be such a great addition to your special occasion. Oh, and they dress so fancy. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved having The Moment at our wedding. We interviewed a few different bands, but once we talked to Scott, we knew immediately they were the perfect fit for us.
Scott is so patient and kind. He answered every question we had, and made sure we were all on the same page as we led up to the wedding.
They were involved in all parts of our wedding. All of our guests were impressed with their music inventory and their overall performance throughout the night. They were even willing to play a private song for us at the end of the night as everyone was prepping for the exit.
We’re so glad they were part of our big day. 10/10 recommend!!

Do not hesitate booking THE MOMENT! WOW. Scott & The Moment band are SO much more to me than our wedding band. Scott was patient, kind, and SO understanding when it came to my last minute
tweaks. He organized playlist after playlist and brought tears to both mine and my now husbands eyes. The Moment effortlessly guided our day into the night. From learning a new song for my parents to sing during our first dance, all the way to our private last dance where I surprised my husband
with his favorite song (more tears). If we had to do it all over again, booking The Moment would be the first thing we did.

The Moment is going to be the best part of your wedding right behind the actual marriage. They made our day so special and didn’t stop celebrating us at our wedding. They learned and personalized all of our big dance numbers. Including the First Dance and the Mother/Son & the Father/Daughter dances. They sent us a gift after our wedding and even helped us get our wedding publicized. They are truly the ultimate wedding band of the century. There should be no debate whether you book them, do it, and your wedding will be life changing. They are a great band and even better people. I have and will always recommend them for ANY event! They are very easy to work with and very adaptable. They come with a lot of equipment and can do almost any venue setup. Very professional and technical. Easily the most stress-free decision to make while wedding planning.

Such an amazing band! The music sounded great. They are a very professional group. Great play list available and they are willing to learn new songs too. They played at a perfect volume where you could still talk to each other and enjoy the music. Some bands/DJs play so loud you have to go outside to talk to anyone. The Moment did it right! Will definitely keep them in mind for future events! Thanks!

We hired the moment for our wedding and all of our guests had an amazing time! The entire dance floor was packed and everyone danced the night away! We had the full band play for us, and all the instruments were incredible and the two lead vocals were powerful. I can not recommend them enough!!

My wife and I recently hired The Moment for our wedding. One thing I wanted to do was stay away from the traditional DJ. I love live music. Yet finding a band proved to be more difficult that I imagined. The moment was recommended by a friend and they exceeded my expectations. My favorite part was the vast array of music genres. My wife likes pop and I like punk. They were very professional and the sound was great. I will be referring them to our friend’s future weddings
