I cannot say enough good things about The Monarch Room!!! We got married here in Dec 2024 and it could not have been more perfect. The space is beautiful, it’s open and customizable in so many ways, the staff were wonderful to work with the entire time we were planning and the day of (and even after), the pricing is reasonable and includes SO much, the list goes on and on. Megan was always quick to answer my questions and helped ease a ton of anxiety for a bride who DIY’d and didn’t have a planner. Megan & team - thank you so much! 10/10 recommend.

We had our wedding reception at The Monarch Room in October 2024. We knew after we toured it that it was the perfect venue for us. We loved the open vendor policy so we could truly make the day what we wanted. Being able to bring in your own alcohol that their bartenders prep and serve was awesome as well, so we could completely customize our bar menu. The location also can’t be beat, especially for the price. You really get so much bang for your buck with this venue! Megan and her team were also amazing through the whole planning process and day of the wedding; they were always quick with communication and the day went off without a hitch! Highly recommend checking out The Monarch Room for your event!

The Monarch Room was a dream! Right in the heart of the Crossroads, this venue mixed modern, industrial design with cozy lighting and gorgeous downtown views out of the big windows. Megan, Heidi, and our bartender team were so kind and easy to work with.
We chose the ceremony and reception package and the room flip was seamless. You get two getting ready suites, tables, chairs, linens, gorgeous lighting, and a staffed bar with your venue package which was a great deal for us. For photos, you can hop outside and have a stunning downtown KC backdrop, plenty of outdoor venue shots to choose from, and easy access to other KC landmarks like the Kauffman Center just a short drive away.
A large portion of our guests traveled from out of town and didn’t have a rental car, so it was really convenient that our venue was close to several hotels and had easy streetcar access. There was also ample parking along McGee as well.
Highly recommend this venue to anyone planning a downtown KC wedding!

The Monarch Room was the perfect choice for our wedding reception! From the moment we toured the venue, we were blown away by its amazing design, spacious layout, and warm ambiance. The team at The Monarch Room went above and beyond to ensure every detail was flawless, making the entire planning process so much easier for us.
One highlight that truly stood out was the incredible bartenders. They were friendly, professional, and kept the drinks flowing all night with a smile. Many of our guests commented on how attentive and personable they were, not to mention the fantastic cocktails they crafted. They added so much energy and fun to the celebration!

We got married on a special holiday for Kansas City 8.16.2024 (816 Day) and couldn’t have choose a more perfect venue! The Monarch Room was everything we needed from the open bar package, open vendor, bridal and groom suite ( my husband loved his area and still talks about it lol) to make our wedding so memorable not only for ourselves, but the people that shared the love for us on our big day and that’s only some of the best part of The Monarch Room! I have guest still telling me how beautiful our wedding was and how they loved the venue. Megan and Heidi were amazing and we thank you so much for everything you helped us with!

We absolutely love The Monarch Room! The minute we walked in we knew we wanted to have our reception there. Megan and her team are fantastic. We had great communication throughout the planning process. The space is gorgeous! We loved the open floor plan to make sure we kept everyone on the dance floor all night. We got so many compliments from our guests on the venue. Having an open vendor policy was important to us. With the open vendor policy and everything The Monarch Room includes with the rental, having our reception there was an easy decision 💖

We had a great experience using the Monarch Room for our wedding/reception venue. The owner, Megan, is very easy to work with and was helpful with our planning process. Shout out for being one of the only venues in downtown KC with the option to BYOB! There is a required charge to use the venue’s bartenders, but still well worth it. Venue is beautiful and was easy to decorate. Also she allowed us to bring our dog (best boy in our wedding party) so he could celebrate with us as well! Wedding was a great time!

We booked this venue early in 2023. There were only a handful of Saturdays available and we lucky got a date we loved.
The owner was super helpful and communicative.
This was the easiest process for booking. The venue was open vendor, they provided the bartenders, they offered security as an add-on if desired.
There’s a full catering kitchen, multiple restrooms, large bar, and 2 get ready areas.
Linen rental was included, as was all the basic pop and tonic water, etc. down lights are already in the venue, and the bar lights up. You can even customize the front of the bar with a monogram for an extra fee.
As for service, everything was smooth. We had access at 10am, there was an on-site attendant to help us and coordinate with vendors if needed.
Bartenders were great, they packed it all up for us and did their best to open as needed. They did our signature drinks great, and couldn’t ask for more. Just make sure you have your guest tip!
As an above and beyond, we had a sentimental item left (even after we thought we got it all) and the owner was able to help us get it back very quickly.
Rules: no confetti, use command strips for decor. It’s was pretty simple.
I highly recommend. You get a great value for the price and location!
