We loved the space! They made everything so easy; the night felt seamless. The Crossroads location is lovely, and despite being very open, with tall ceilings, the space felt cozy and authentic. We chose minimal decor because we found the historic building very cute. Private Bridal and Groom suites were perfect, and their unique bar was a centerpiece, not only for the party but for our photos too!

out as centrally located in Kansas City as you can get. Situated on a beautiful corner lot facing north-northwest, the space offers stunning views of the Kansas City skyline through its massive floor-to-ceiling windows. The exposed brick and tall ceilings create a unique atmosphere, both spacious and intimate at the same time.
One of the standout features is the bar. It’s perfectly positioned in the corner. Easy to access without ever feeling intrusive to the flow of the event. The backlit front is customizable, which added a personal touch we absolutely loved (easily one of our favorite amenities).
Another huge plus: the number of restroom stalls. It may sound minor, but anyone who’s been to a crowded event knows how big of a difference that makes.
The catering setup is also extremely well thought out. With access along the side and back of the venue, our outside catering team was able to move in and out seamlessly without ever interrupting the event.
If you’re looking for a venue that truly checks all the boxes, you’d be remiss not to consider The Monarch Room.

e bartenders that were hired for us were AMAZING and guests kept talking about how they contributed to the good energy of the night. Plus we got to choose exactly which alcohol we wanted to serve and got a discount through one of Megan's connections...score! We had 130 guests and the space was the perfect size -- it felt full but not crowded. The string lights and newly remodeled bar area were beautiful touches to our decor scheme. We also took advantage of the discounted day-of coordination services through one of their suggested (but not required) partners, Cake and Champagne Wedding Event Planning, which was a lifesaver. I cannot recommend The Monarch Room enough, especially the two day package.

make the day what we wanted. Being able to bring in your own alcohol that their bartenders prep and serve was awesome as well, so we could completely customize our bar menu. The location also can’t be beat, especially for the price. You really get so much bang for your buck with this venue! Megan and her team were also amazing through the whole planning process and day of the wedding; they were always quick with communication and the day went off without a hitch! Highly recommend checking out The Monarch Room for your event!

We chose the ceremony and reception package and the room flip was seamless. You get two getting ready suites, tables, chairs, linens, gorgeous lighting, and a staffed bar with your venue package which was a great deal for us. For photos, you can hop outside and have a stunning downtown KC backdrop, plenty of outdoor venue shots to choose from, and easy access to other KC landmarks like the Kauffman Center just a short drive away.
A large portion of our guests traveled from out of town and didn’t have a rental car, so it was really convenient that our venue was close to several hotels and had easy streetcar access. There was also ample parking along McGee as well.
Highly recommend this venue to anyone planning a downtown KC wedding!

. The team at The Monarch Room went above and beyond to ensure every detail was flawless, making the entire planning process so much easier for us.
One highlight that truly stood out was the incredible bartenders. They were friendly, professional, and kept the drinks flowing all night with a smile. Many of our guests commented on how attentive and personable they were, not to mention the fantastic cocktails they crafted. They added so much energy and fun to the celebration!

ackage, open vendor, bridal and groom suite ( my husband loved his area and still talks about it lol) to make our wedding so memorable not only for ourselves, but the people that shared the love for us on our big day and that’s only some of the best part of The Monarch Room! I have guest still telling me how beautiful our wedding was and how they loved the venue. Megan and Heidi were amazing and we thank you so much for everything you helped us with!

or being one of the only venues in downtown KC with the option to BYOB! There is a required charge to use the venue’s bartenders, but still well worth it. Venue is beautiful and was easy to decorate. Also she allowed us to bring our dog (best boy in our wedding party) so he could celebrate with us as well! Wedding was a great time!

he easiest process for booking. The venue was open vendor, they provided the bartenders, they offered security as an add-on if desired.
There’s a full catering kitchen, multiple restrooms, large bar, and 2 get ready areas.
Linen rental was included, as was all the basic pop and tonic water, etc. down lights are already in the venue, and the bar lights up. You can even customize the front of the bar with a monogram for an extra fee.
As for service, everything was smooth. We had access at 10am, there was an on-site attendant to help us and coordinate with vendors if needed.
Bartenders were great, they packed it all up for us and did their best to open as needed. They did our signature drinks great, and couldn’t ask for more. Just make sure you have your guest tip!
As an above and beyond, we had a sentimental item left (even after we thought we got it all) and the owner was able to help us get it back very quickly.
Rules: no confetti, use command strips for decor. It’s was pretty simple.
I highly recommend. You get a great value for the price and location!
