It was a very beautiful location! The staff were nice and professional. Everything for my wedding went off without a hitch.
My husband and I got married at the Mora Farm over 1 year ago. Since then, their prices have doubled it seems and it was not worth what we paid. Yes it is a beautiful location, however all of the stipulations and lack of amenities was not worth it at all. We were not allowed to set up the night before, or bring any items the day before. We weren't allowed to set up until 10am the day of (unless we wanted to pay extra). We weren't allowed into the Bridal/Groom suite until 3pm, with the ceremony at 5pm. If we wanted water available to our guests it was going to cost roughly $100 (and each additional refill would be another $100). We brought our own water bottles and ice for the drinks. During the rehearsal the owner seemed very annoyed with us. When he asked where I wanted the arch/chairs placed he seemed put off that I chose to place them at an angle in the yard since "no one ever chooses that layout". He also seemed upset that we chose an outdoor ceremony on a cloudy day (it didn't end up raining). The family lives upstairs of the bridal suite, so when I was getting ready to walk down the aisle, the couples child was just in the living room awkwardly while I waited. They also told us that they would light the fire pit and open the barn door for some air at night and neither were done. We finally got the barn door opened after begging them too, since the guests were burning up. Also be sure to ask what time the reception is to end (it didn't state it in our contact) but on the website it states until 11pm. Well at 10:30pm they told us to pack up. We had to hurriedly get all of the decorations and food out quickly. I know this all seems petty, but it made our day very stressful and we felt very unwelcome there. They were very nice when we booked and were paying them, but after that the friendliness ended. For all the extra work you have to do to get the food, drinks, ice, etc there by yourself is not worth the hassle. Go somewhere and pay extra for someone to do this for you! It will be worth it! It was way too much stress setting up and cleaning up the day of. Plus we had to drive back the next day to pick up our deposit. They also promised us 2 bartenders and we only got one. Luckily when I found out, they gave us a refund. Do your research before booking and take into consideration how much you will have to do/stress the day of! Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Mora Farm and it was a dream come true. The venue is beautiful and made for the best photo backdrops. The owners and their staff were amazing. They were extremely kind and helpful with the planning. They did an amazing job with the setup and were onsite the entire time to make sure things ran smoothly. Our expectations were definitely exceeded.
Overall, I have nothing but great things to say about this venue. It’s absolutely gorgeous and the family is so easy to work with. While there were some miscommunications, everything got resolved quickly and efficiently. It’s a perfect combination of DIY on the bride’s end but also having professional help when needed. The venue is budget friendly for any budget and I’d recommend this venue to anyone looking for the perfect farm wedding. I had so many guests tell me how gorgeous the venue was and I couldn’t agree more!
My husband and I knew from the beginning we made the right choice with The Mora Farm as our wedding/reception venue. Jim and his family were kind, helpful and accommodating from the beginning. Jim continued to be so gracious throughout the pandemic, helping us reschedule and alter our plans to celebrate our marriage. Throughout the entire process we could not have asked for a more communicative and flexible people to help us. The day of our reception Jim and his family continued to be so helpful, kind and accommodating; and all of our guests noticed. Though we invited many "locals" to our reception, everyone could not help but ask "how did you find this place?", and were excited to recommend The Mora Farm to their family and friends as well. The Mora Farm is beautiful and meticulously cared for, and the perfect venue for a wedding.
