We could not have asked for a better venue and owner!! Angela went above and beyond to make sure that everything ran perfectly! She gave us a list of recommendations of vendors in the area that she has worked with before, she was timely in her communication, and she is a fantastic person overall. I don't have the words to express how awesome both she and the venue are!

A Historic Venue nestled in the heart of a historic town! Angela made our experience so wonderful throughout the entire process of planning a wedding. I have always known I wanted an industrial vibe wedding, and The Morris offered plenty of that, but did not stop there. The exterior adds such an elegant ambiance with the dramatic arches surrounded by excellent brick work. Angela has perfectly curated a wonderful bite of history upon entering The Morris. From vintage signs to aerial photos, everyone stood in awe of how elegantly Glen Elk's history lines the walls of the lobby. The upstairs features 10,000 (yes THOUSAND) square feet of completely customizable space. The Proprietor, Angela, was so sweet upon my first message to her. She is so welcoming and catered to all of my ideas - lending me her expertise from time to time! Her hand selected venue add-ons put the perfect touch on our wedding, and gave it such an authentic vintage vibe. We were a little nervous requesting that we'd like our ceremony and reception in the same place, but Angela assured us it would be perfect - and it was! Everything we could have ever imagined and then some! As a bride, a lot of vendors simply treat you as a transaction, but this was not the case. Angela genuinely wanted everything to be perfect, putting her heart and soul into every table linen and chair set up - which we saw from the beginning and appreciate so so much! I cannot recommend The Morris and Angela enough for making our day so much more than we could have ever dreamt. I look forward to attending more events there in the future to see what amazing things Angela adds to this stellar venue. A very heartfelt thank you to The Morris and Angela - The Hardesty's <3

My husband and I got married here in June of 2023 and all I can say is this place is exceptional. The venue is stunning and can fit almost any theme. Angela and the team are wonderful to work with. Honestly 10/10, zero complaints and when it comes to wedding planning that is saying something!!

Our day at The Morris could not have been more perfect. Angela at The Morris went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we need. The Morris was everything we were looking for, an eclectic industrial location to hold our huge family! I couldn’t recommend this venue enough from events small to large. Our wedding day was everything I could have imagined at The Morris and our guests loved the venue.

For 25 years I ran high profile special events in the Nation's capitol and around the country for the Smithsonian Institution. The highlight of my career was the opening of the National Museum of the American Indian which included the opening ceremony and two months of private celebrations. I've returned to my roots in Clarksburg, WV, to manage one of our family's properties, The Morris, a restored industrial chic venue. With 10,000 square feet of exposed brick and the original hardwood floors its like no other place in North Central West Virginia.
