Our day was beautiful and Angela was so helpful! I loved that we didn’t have to worry about decorating our venue because it has so much visual appeal on its own. Would absolutely recommend!
We could not have asked for a better venue and owner!! Angela went above and beyond to make sure that everything ran perfectly! She gave us a list of recommendations of vendors in the area that she has worked with before, she was timely in her communication, and she is a fantastic person overall. I don't have the words to express how awesome both she and the venue are!

Additionally, as it is located near the I-79 and Route 50, you will find that this spot is an ideal and convenient choice for your guests.
The Morris is a versatile event venue, primed for all kinds of events. Whether you are planning a rehearsal dinner, elopement, ceremony, reception, or all of the above, they can host you and up to 350 of your nearest and dearest. Guests can enter through the front doors before making their way up the restored 1955 Otis freight elevator to the third floor. Here, they will find the impressive banquet hall, which can serve as the setting for both your ceremony and reception. With wooden accents and beams throughout, an industrial-style ceiling, glittering bistro lights, and plenty of natural light to boot, this space can be done up to your exact specifications.
When you choose The Morris, the onsite staff will be available throughout the celebration to help in any way they can. You can meet with the venue's dedicated event planners, who can offer guidance and advice. There are also plenty of amenities and event rentals to choose from, including get-ready rooms. For 25 years I ran high profile special events in the Nation's capitol and around the country for the Smithsonian Institution. The highlight of my career was the opening of the National Museum of the American Indian which included the opening ceremony and two months of private celebrations.
I've returned to my roots in Clarksburg, WV, to manage one of our family's properties, The Morris, a restored industrial chic venue. With 10,000 square feet of exposed brick and the original hardwood floors its like no other place in North Central West Virginia.
