The on-site staff were incredible, kitchen/catering staff were absolutely amazing and had a really great selection of food as well as making sure there were vegan options for the bride (me)! I couldn't have been happier with how everything turned out - it really was the perfect place for us. Forever grateful for the people at The Morris Estate - thank you so much for being a huge part of the best weekend of our lives. I can't wait to come back and visit!

ay. Every staff member was eager to help us with anything. Our coordinator, Ryan, who was included in our booking went absolutely above and beyond for us. I had an issue with my bustle on my dress and Ryan took the time to help me get it sewed up before the reception. This is only one example of how helpful and amazing Ryan was. We honestly would not have had such a good wedding without the Morris Estate and their staff members. We were able to use the venue’s decorations which was super helpful! We had our wedding party stay in the River House on site and they were pampered there. It was very clear from the start of the booking process that the staff members wanted us to have a special day and this set them apart from many other venues we looked at. We had so many guests rave about the food from catering, how pretty the venue was, and how awesome the staff was. Their hospitality was beyond amazing and we highly recommend this venue for your wedding!!

he tent at night over looking the St. Joseph river was jaw dropping. The lights light up the night with a certain elegance that was indescribable. We were able to stay at the River house for the entire weekend. This brought the whole wedding party together for a weekend we all will never forget. Us along with our bridal party and parents stayed at each of these houses. Everyone was very comfortable and the staff working there was great.

laces. The Morris Estate is just amazing and offers everything that you would want to have a care free wedding day. Inside the chapel are bridal lounges where the wedding party can get ready. It's very nice that they provide lunch for the bridal party because weddings are long days and it was nice not having to worry about how we were going to survive until dinner. Once everyone is ready and it's time for the ceremony, you head directly upstairs and when that's finished, you head outside for the reception in their very large event tent. The grounds are simply beautiful! To have the convenience of everything being in one location meant that we were able to knock most of our pictures out and actually mingle and enjoy the cocktail hour with our guests. Don't get me started on the food. The catering through the Morris Estate is delicious. Such a wide variety of food that there's no wrong option no matter what you choose for your big day. The staff were amazing and Nate, who is in charge of the catering, is equally amazing and was out there serving meals and making sure everything went smoothly. Everyone loved the food! The Morris Estate offers so many services when you book with them, one of them being set up with a wedding coordinator. We had Cara who was, can you guess it? AMAZING! We met with her several times and it's because of her that the day ran so smoothly. She made sure that I didn't have to worry about a thing on our wedding day. She helped bring the vision of what I had for our wedding to life and everything was beautiful. The Morris Estate also offers a large inventory of items for decorations. Some of the larger items have a set up fee, but the rest are all free at your disposable. That was the nice thing about having that as an option was that I didn't have to worry about set/up or tear down of items or worrying about delegating those tasks to someone. Their staff handled it all. Other than a few items that I dropped off the day of, those few things were the only thing I had to grab at the end of the evening. If I had any "bad" things to say, it would just be that it books up so quickly. There was a bunch of availability when we went to view the venue, but a few weeks after when we went to confirm a date, they were all gone and we pushed our initial date back by about 2 months. But honestly, we ended up having the most perfect day weather wise and to have our wedding at the Morris Estate was worth it. I can not recommend this venue enough!

She connected us with so many amazing vendors and truly made wedding planning feel like an ease! We also cannot stop raving about Nate, he mastermind behind the catering and culinary experiences. Nate's dedication to his craft is palpable and shines through in every dish he creates. The Filet, in particular, garnered rave reviews from countless guests, many of whom declared it the best they've ever had! What's truly noteworthy is Nate's conscientious attention to guests with dietary restrictions. He personally attended to each individual, ensuring their dietary needs were not just met, but exceeded – a gesture that resonated deeply and put them at ease. Love, Love, LOVE this place and cannot wait to come back and celebrate anniversaries here! Thank you so much to the Morris Team for making our weekend SO special!

they made us feel like we were the only couple on their radar despite them having a jam packed schedule. They answered all questions promptly and truly made the wedding day seamless with no stress, allowing us to be present with our loved ones instead of setting up. On top of the venue itself being stunning, the food was INCREDIBLE. We had a lot of our loved ones tell us the food was the best wedding food they have ever had, and the people with serious food allergies felt comfortable eating there due to the caterer doing a phenomenal job at accommodating those allergies. highly recommend! We used this venue for our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, AND as accommodations for the wedding party throughout the weekend (their homemade breakfast is AMAZING). Nate and his team made catering decisions so efficient and they easily accomodate for any dietary needs. The tasting was one of our favorite parts of the entire wedding planning process - the food was absolutely incredible. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. Chef and Nate pay attention to the details, things I would never have thought of, but things that really elevate the look and feel of the day. I never worried for a second that things wouldn’t go as planned. Cara helped with wedding planning from start to finish. She was responsive, efficient, and ensured everything ran smoothly the day of the wedding. Cara conducted our rehearsal and was there to answer any and all of my questions. She coordinated with all of my vendors, making sure everyone knew where to go and what time to be there. The planning pod software that is used for seating arrangements made everything so easy and worry - free the day of the wedding! The staff at the morris took care of shuttling guests to / from the parking lot, setting up, and tearing down, so even clean up was made super efficient and worry free. THANK YOU morris estate, we are so grateful to have been able to work with you for such a special weekend.

Half way through the wedding I asked if I could have my meal boxed up for later that night at our Airbnb, and Nate met me at the door leaving and boxed up a fresh meal for us to bring back with us. It's beautiful and well maintained- anyone with eyes can see that. A family run business that has hospitable staff and answer all the questions you didn't even know you needed to ask. They know what they're doing! I think the 'true' review is how this company responded to COVID delays- I find under stressful situations is the best time to gauge people/companies from their response. I would give 15/10 on my interactions with all those at The Morris Estate. They were professional, extremely understanding and always brought solutions to the table with any 'bad' news. We cancelled our date early in 2020 and rescheduled for the following Spring. Our coordinator, Adara helped me navigate through 'what happens now'. She never made me feel like I was bugging her when I knew she was juggling 100x things out of her control with all of her couples. I can't thank them enough- there isn't anything we'd change from our Wedding! Thank you, thank you!

el itself. It is perfect. Having the reception right next door is wonderful and makes things so much easier! The tent they use for the reception is so spacious that it feels like a building itself. The grounds provide absolutely gorgeous photos. We worked with Adara and she was the kindest and most helpful person that we have ever worked with. Having a wedding during COVID provided its own challenges and Adara worked diligently with us to ensure our day went as smooth as it could go. We let Adara and her team have control of how to set up the reception area with a combination of Morris décor and our own décor and they made it look incredible. I would highly recommend Morris Estate for your wedding.

The property is well-maintained. The bridal suites are perfect spaces for getting ready and hanging out before the ceremony. This lovely setting lends itself for wonderful photos too.
