Your Home Away From Home is a local, family-owned collection of venues and lodgings in Pigeon Forge/Sevierville, TN, hosting weddings and events. Owners Wendell and Kathryn Tanner purchased these stunning properties in 2021 and decorated them in a homey style perfect for pampering and relaxed celebrations. Located near Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, these buildings are surrounded by breathtaking mountain backdrops and picturesque forests, creating a tranquil setting for one-of-a-kind occasions. Your Home Away From Home invites couples to celebrate their ceremony and reception at The Vieux, their largest Tennesse property. To exchange vows, you can choose between the warm wood interiors of the house or the rustic woodland scenery surrounding their arbor and outdoor chapel. After you tie the knot, you can explore the grounds with your photographer for your portrait sessions while your guests mingle over cocktails. Later, you can reunite with loved ones for a banquet-style dinner celebration in the dining room, a bright, airy space with windows on all sides. After a magical evening of festivities, you can retire with up to 20 guests in The Vieux's comfortably furnished guest bedrooms for a night of rest and relaxation. A further 34 guests can utilize their 5 additional cabins and 3 rental units for 2 to 3 nights of tranquility. Your Home Away From Home welcomes outside vendors, allowing you to tailor your special day to match your unique requirements. Your bar and catering team can set up in The Vieux’s fully equipped kitchen with generous countertop space and state-of-the-art appliances. This room also features a plush lounge area that the rest of your service team can use as a base. Separated from the main living area by a curtained partition, an intimate dressing room offers your beauty team ample space to set up. If you don’t have specific vendors in mind, the team will happily provide you with recommendations from their trusted network of local business providers. For couples planning destination weddings, they suggest purchasing travel insurance for your safety and comfort, making sure your special day goes off without a hitch. Although you can choose whoever you want as Vendors, we do highly recommend Ana Ronel's in Knoxville as Caterers. Jessica & Paul have already catered at least 5 weddings on our property and have at least 3 more on the books as of March 2024. The guests rave about them as do we since we have been able to sample their delicious cooking.
