They offer customizable packages and can travel to Florida, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina, and South Carolina for your special occasion. The Needle is owned by Blake Hughes, who grew up drumming and holds a BA in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University. Blake has a deep passion for music that is integrated into every aspect of his life. His wife Maggie helps run the day-to-day operations of the business and has worked as a wedding planner and coordinator for more than a decade. This pair loves being part of newlyweds’ big days and seeing the looks of joy on their faces when they say “I do.” The team at The Needle knows that every couple has unique needs and can customize their services accordingly. They provide two standard packages that can be added to as suits your preferences. The Essential is best if you already have ceremony music lined up, while the Deluxe takes care of all your music from arrival to send-off. Extras include additional hours, uplighting, marquee lighting, bistro lighting, and neon signs.

Most definitely put Blake at the top of your list! We so appreciated Blake's attention to detail to ensure my daughter's wedding ceremony and reception were perfect. Since we were a smaller group - he made sure the dance floor was never empty and kept everything high energy and fun. Thank you, Blake.

Blake was very professional and started our initial meeting with a helpful questionnaire to fill out prior to a conference call to confirm details and ask for any further information I didn't think to provide. The day of the ceremony, everything was PERFECT... the music start and end times, the announcements, and the perfect transition of all the music genres I wanted played. Hands down will use him for my next wedding (KIDDING:) Highly recommend! Thanks Blake!

Blake with The Needle was amazing from wedding planning to wedding day! We met a few times before the wedding to hash out all the tiny details and Blake was very helpful and knowledgeable. Blake worked seamlessly around our specific “do’s and don’ts” playlist and kept the party going all night! He knew exactly when and what songs to play to keep people on the dance floor and his lighting equipment really set the mood! Blake is personable yet very professional and did an all-around phenomenal job! Blake exceeded our needs and expectations and went above and beyond to ensure our best day ever really was the best! We loved having The Needle DJ & MC our reception ! Blake and Maggie were both professional, kind, and helpful. We felt at ease and relaxed knowing that our party would be totally taken care of. Many guests told us afterwards that it was one of the most lively dance floors they'd ever seen at a wedding- I don't think it was ever empty!! 10/10 would recommend!

10/10 would recommend.. Blake is absolutely fantastic at his job and exceeded my expectations by leaps and bounds.. He was excellent with communication and ensured I had everything I wanted and needed and more.. He kept the dance floor moving and did a phenomenal job emceeing throughout the night.. being a COVID bride a lot of stuff got hectic and weird, but Blake made the whole process so easy!! He will for sure be my one and only choice for any DJ services in the future!
