During the months of planning, Janice was consistently communicative, resourceful, and quick to track down answers. She handled every logistical detail — room dimensions, table layouts, museum regulations — with total precision. A museum wedding comes with its own unique set of rules, but Janice made sure every requirement was met while still helping us create a night that felt beautiful, effortless, and genuinely fun.
On the big day, she coordinated setup and teardown with expert-level finesse. She worked with our rental teams, designer, photographer, band, catering, and bar staff to bring every part of our vision to life. She even anticipated when I’d need a drink before I realized it myself!
Janice didn’t just prove she could handle a major event at the Nelson — she proved she’s an expert at it. I would trust her with any event there, without hesitation.

The venue is unmatched in terms of its elegance, atmosphere, and food service. The planning and coordinating to make our wedding what we envisioned was more of a headache than I was expecting because of some outdated standards and rigidity to how they do things. The bar package specifically was pretty disappointing and doesn’t feel updated for what weddings today typically offer. Just keep that in mind if you are interested in the space! It’s a stunning venue that comes with some obstacles.
