Choosing The Nest as our wedding venue was our first decision in planning our wedding and one of the best decisions we could have made. From start to finish, our hosts, Pam and Mike, along with Kelsey, made our special day truly unforgettable. They were very professional as well as kind and generous, making us feel right at home during our time at The Nest.
Leading up to our big day, Kelsey made all the logistics and planning smooth and easy. I loved communicating with her and she truly put me at ease amidst all the stress of wedding planning. Pam and Mike went above and beyond to ensure every detail that we planned was perfect. They were incredibly accommodating of all our needs and preferences. For example, Pam went out of her way to track down a difficult-to-find beer we wanted to serve our guests—a gesture that truly highlighted their commitment to making our day special.
As for the venue itself, we booked it site-unseen, and when we finally arrived it was even more breathtaking than we had imagined. Nestled by the river, the setting provided a serene and beautiful backdrop that perfectly complemented our celebration. The property was simply magic.
One of the reasons we booked The Nest was the on-site lodging. We loved this feature because it allowed us to host our wedding party the night before and the night of our wedding day. This made it incredibly easy to set up and gave everyone a chance to relax and spend quality time together on the beautiful property before the ceremony. It was the perfect way to bond and enjoy the surroundings. We’re all dreaming of a reunion trip back!
If you’re looking for a venue that combines stunning natural beauty with outstanding service and convenient lodging, The Nest is the perfect choice. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and are so grateful to Pam, Mike, and Kelsey for making our wedding day everything we dreamed of and more.
Our Daughter's Destination wedding was magical! Pam and Mike were incredible to work with: Friendly, Accomodating, Patient and all around great Hosts. Our time spent on the river was so peaceful and the night sky was spectacular. They helped us every step of the way to make our wedding a success. I hope we can return again soon for a family event :)
Amazing venue. We rented some of the cabins and the Inn for our family and friends and they were all beautifully done. Pam and Mike, the owners, also introduced us to the baker that made our cake. Our photos turned out amazing and they were so helpful the day of the wedding. We used their arch, which is gorgeous and got married right by the river. It was a perfect day.
This venue was truly amazing and everything we could have asked for. Pam and Mike were so kind allowing us to view the property prior to deciding and after being there we knew it was perfect for our small wedding. They were so nice and let us set up some of the stuff the night before then the day of Mike helped clear out snow for us to be able to place benches outside for the ceremony. Through out the day they were very helpful lending a hand where needed and we can not express our appreciation enough for them.
The Nest on Swan River is truly the top notch wedding venue! Pam and Mike could not have been friendlier or more accommodating. They made sure that our entire family felt welcomed and comfortable during our weekend stay and wedding. They are truly invested in your wedding and want to ensure it's the best day of your life. We are FOREVER grateful for Pam and Mike opening up the Nest and the entire property. It is like a piece of heaven on earth, and somehow we got lucky enough to celebrate our love there.
We cannot say enough good things about Pam & Mike and The Nest. This venue was beyond our expectations in every way. It is hard to take pictures that due justice to the beauty and wonder of the property. From our first communication with Pam & Mike, they were punctual, professional, kind, and helpful. We had a destination wedding, so the communication was especially appreciated. When we toured the venue for the first time it felt like we were touring a friend's home - they were so welcoming and warm. It is obvious the hard work they have put into the property to make it stunning. Not only are Pam & Mike amazing, but the venue is BREATHTAKINGLY GORGEOUS - we felt like we walked into a movie. We signed the paperwork as soon as the tour was over. Leading up to the wedding Pam & Mike were available and supportive with any questions that popped up. On the day of (and the weekend of the wedding), they were behind the scenes helping vendors, getting the gorgeous driftwood arbor ready, and walking around the property with smiles on their faces. It was wonderful to have a bartender included - we had a dry wedding and they easily and eagerly accommodated. We decided to rent the property from Thursday-Monday to have more time with our bridal party at the venue. We had a "River Day" on the property the Sunday after the wedding and invited family&friends over to enjoy the river and the view. Pam & Mike mentioned that they had not seen that done before, and commented on how wonderful & special it was for wedding guests to come back and be together and have time on the river. Additionally, the lodging accommodations were beautifully appointed, stunning, decorated, and spotless, and included the wonderful craftsmanship of Mike in every corner. At the end of the wedding night, they had a big beautiful bonfire ready for us and lit the way to the bonfire with candles - it was magical. They feel like dear friends now and we cannot wait to visit again.
This venue is a hidden gem. I live in Montana and I wanted my family from out of town to have an authentic experience. Everything exceeded my expectations. Logistically there are two commercial kitchens and we were able provide rooms for all of our close family. We saw deer, bears (from a distance), turkeys, and epic sunsets. Everything is set against the backdrop of the Swan River. We capped off a perfect weekend with a family bonfire. Pam and Mike went above and beyond to make sure the grounds were beautiful and that everything ran smoothly. If you are considering this venue, book quickly because the word is getting out!
We had our wedding @ The Nest in September & it was nothing short of perfect! To begin it is extremely affordable & the location is gorgeous and peaceful (the perfect little getaway from town). The indoor reception space held 50 people perfectly and the outdoor ceremony area is right in front of the beautiful Swan River. Everything is so well maintained and we are so glad we chose the Nest to host our wedding! Overall, the location is awesome, the owners are so friendly & helpful, and everything was truly breathtaking. Definitely recommend the Nest to help make your special day as wonderful as mine was.
Our son and daughter-in-law were married at The Nest in 2021. This venue was perfect and provided everything needed for a beautiful outdoor wedding and a relaxing gathering place for all the guests. One thing about this venue is the freedom to take the provided tools and make it your own creation. You can stage your events indoor, outdoor, in a gazebo, on a deck overlooking the river or many other choices of settings to capture the abundant scenic surroundings. The option to lodge guests in the guest house is so valuable for out of town guests or just for the convenience of being together in one place. Our wedding couple staged the dining room next to the dance floor pavilion on a large patio that overlooked the river. This provided seamless transitions between cocktails, dinner, and dancing and there was a good supply of lawn and patio furniture to scatter about and take advantage of shade trees, front porch rockers, and a perfect backyard wedding setting. There is even the option of a commercial kitchen. The owners are friendly, accommodating and helpful and provide a spacious comfortable venue that offers a true authentic Montana destination wedding.
The Nest is a beautiful and special place located among towering evergreen trees on the banks of the Swan River in Bigfork, MT. The magnificent Swan Mountains tower over the location, and the impressive Flathead Lake is only a short ways downstream.
Pam and Mike provided a nicely furnished, rustic atmosphere in their cabins and guest house. A large kitchen and walk-in cooler help provide for the needs of your party, and the grounds are equipped with a large pavilion and fire pit for outdoor entertainment. They even have some kayaks which can be paddled around on the river (it is a very clam stretch of river). You will likely see some turkeys or white tailed deer wandering through the property.
We chose the Nest for our wedding location, and the ceremony turned out so beautifully. All of our guests enjoyed their stay (we had about 20 stay on site), and the celebration unfolded so nicely with feasting, music, and dancing!
Highly recommend this venue if you wish to enjoy the authentic atmosphere provided by an original Montana homestead blended with the comforts of a modern vacation retreat in the rugged mountains of the pacific northwest.
The Nest was the perfect venue for our big day. You truly will not find a better venue for your wedding weekend and it allows you to spend additional time with the people that you love most. We're trying to come up with reason to have another gathering there!
Absolutely beautiful location, amazing views in every direction, wildlife wandering through, and gorgeous cabins/gathering spaces with great flexibility for different events. Pam and Mike know their property very well, offer great suggestions, and are incredibly helpful.
I coordinated a wedding that took place there this August, and being at the Nest was fantastic. Mike and Pam have worked with many of the local vendors, caterers, and rental companies which makes organizing/coordinating so much simpler. The location is so beautiful there is little need for decorating.
I can see why the Nest is booked for so many events. The owners attention to detail, the amenities offered, the peaceful and beautifully maintained setting make for memorable events. It was privilege and a pleasure to spend time there.
The greatest venue for our intimate wedding on a beautiful, scenic river. Working with Michael and Pam was a breeze and enjoyable, they were responsive and helpful which made setting up and tearing down the venue so easy! The cabins we booked were the perfect place to get ready for the wedding and to stay in. I would choose this venue all over again, our guests loved the ambiance and had the best time!
The best venue ever and great folks to assist in every way!!
We planned our wedding in Texas and selected the venue sight-unseen. The Nest is absolutely unforgettable. I could not have imagined a more perfect place to marry. I’m fact it’s was better than I imagined. Accommodations clean, roomy, conveniently located, ample parking and most of all gorgeous. Pam and Mike are amazing people and they are so lucky to have such a beautiful venue. We were able to have the place to ourselves, private and intimate, but also for prepping details and vendors to set up, that was perfect.
Absolutely magical. If I could leave 10 star I would. Will be back!
My son and new daughter just had their wedding here and there are not enough words to describe how magical and beautiful it was. The owners made us feel like friends immediately and were so helpful and available throughout our stay. They went out of their way to make everything as wonderful as it could be. I wish there were more stars to give.
We had the perfect wedding experience! We loved the venue and it was beautiful. Pam and Mike, the owners were so helpful and made our day relaxing. Truly was a time we will never forget.
My sister and her wife had her wedding at The Nest in September 2020 and it was the perfect venue for them! Their wedding was small, about 50 people, and with that we were able to sleep the wedding party and about half the guests on venue, (which was awesome!) We loved having everything so close and accessible the day of the wedding and minimal travel for the guests! The driftwood arch they built was amazing, and the patio/barn area was perfect for the wedding dance!
My husband and I got married during COVID-19, while wedding planning isn't already stressful enough, we were in such amazing hands at the Nest. Pamela and Michael are so attentive and easy to communicate with during the whole process. We just celebrated our wedding 2 weeks ago and it was absolutely perfect!
The venue itself is dropped dead gorgeous. The natural greens and being on the river near the mountains was breath
taking for photos. The whole area provides a great flow from the ceremony to the reception.
The venue houses approx 30 guests and it was so wonderful to have all our bridal party, plus significant others, stay with us and enjoy the whole weekend.
Pamela and Michael were amazing and so supportive. If you can think of it, they already had it covered. They were always around if we needed anything and worked well with our wedding planner. It was truly our dream come true wedding, even in the midst of COVID, and I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!
My husband and I had a fall wedding at The Nest. The location is simply stunning, and allowed our guests to see the Montana that we truly love. The owners, Mike and Pam, were extremely accommodating and present for all. Highly recommend to anyone!
