The Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina has several spaces where to-be-weds can celebrate their love for one another. This boutique hotel has more than 6,000 square feet of event space and also features plenty of overnight accommodations for out-of-town guests. Grand gatherings are invited to the Aquidneck Island Ballroom, which space covers 3,000 square feet. The Saltwater Restaurant and Lounge offers a comfortable space for welcome parties, cocktail hours, and day-after brunches. Ceremonies can be held on the Marina Lawn, which overlooks the water and can host up to 150 guests. Two rooms, with an adjoining living room, can be reserved for the couple and their party to use as get-ready spaces.

e pandemic, when there was only one employee, they answered all of my questions and they were always there for us. After changing the wedding date in January of 2021 to Labor Day, they went out of their way to accommodate us. When the wedding finally happened over Labor Day weekend 2021, I was not at all disappointed. The Newport Harbor Hotel and Marina rose to the occasion and was there for all of my guests. They went out of their way to give my daughter the accommodations for the wedding of her dreams.

ve through the entire process. Marina was great to work with for all the event planning and preparation. The staff overseeing the event the day of made sure everything was setup as we discussed. We felt very well taken care of on our special day. We lucked out with good weather so we were able to keep the ceremony outdoors and they setup a staging area for us in the ballroom where our wedding party could gather before the ceremony. Our experience was above and beyond thanks to Nicole and Marina. They worked with us for over a year in regular contact planning out all of the details. In the end, we were in our ceremony during the setup/decoration time, so we were initially nervous since we would see our reception at the same time as all of the guests. It turned out to be even better than I could have imagined and looked beautiful. Even small things we didn't think of in the planning process were handled without us ever knowing they came up - for example we left out advice cards for guests but forgot all about pens, and Marina and her team handled it before we even arrived to notice. Our guests raved about the food and the service, and we even noticed Marina passing out drinks at one point even though that is definitely not required of her.
Overall we had the perfect day thanks to the wonderful staff here, and on a more objective note it was very affordable in today's outrageous wedding budget culture. Plus, you can't beat the views and atmosphere - the boats and water made for beautiful pictures! Definitely recommend for any couple looking to have a beautiful, simple, and affordable smaller wedding (or larger if you go for the lawn area!).
Any bride knows the best thing you can get on your wedding day is peace of mind and the ability to relax - and that's exactly what the staff here gave me.
P.S. if you have your event here, definitely opt for the s'mores and cigars package. Our guests raved about it afterward as one of the most unique and fun things they've done at a wedding, and it was a relaxing way to end the day.

ed achieve our nautical theme for the weekend. Diverse menu to pick from for people to nosh through the event. We focused on cheese, fruit and dessert as our party was later in the evening. The staff was very helpful and accommodating, even though there were a few hiccups. One being a Tropical Storm, which kept us from using the outdoor space. Luckily we plan ahead and had the indoor space to use. Great staff, location and all around fun night at Salt Water.

t location on the marina & the sales/catering process is very detail oriented. We were supposed to be on the marina, but due to rain, they moved our party (60+ people) inside to the restaurant by a window, which was a lovely back-up option. Food was plentiful, warm and service was lovely.
As for the block of rooms, the hotel is very organized for wedding parties. The prices are quite high (as we held the wedding during high season) for the rooms, which are quite basic. That being said, location is great, there is an on-site restaurant on the marina.
Overall, a solid choice for a wedding party that wants to have an option right in downtown Newport.
