The Newport Sweet Shoppe

Amanda and Patrick were amazing! They are both super nice and great to work with! Our cake came out awesome! Amanda did a great job creating our cake and both the flavors were so delicious!! They were the best vendors and will definitely use them again and again!

We got cupcakes from them because they were amazing cup cakes and the cheapest around. We chose four different kinds- carrot cake, chocolate chocolate, strawberry short cake, and red velvet. We were not disappointed with the output. However, we had to hound them for a contract and to get in touch with them about our wedding.

Our wedding cake was delicious! We had yellow cake with chocolate chips with chocolate buttercream frosting. There were also chocolate shells decorating the cake. The shells were supposed to be a mix of different shades of chocolate, but ended up being only one shade. Not a huge deal as it all tasted great. Amanda is so sweet (no pun intended) to work with.

We couldn't choose between the assortment of yummy desserts offered at The Newport Sweet Shoppe so we decided to go with a dessert bar for our July 4th wedding! The cupcakes are unbelievable (we loved the carrot cake). The whoopie pies and sugar cookies were a great addition and Amanda gave us solid advice on what shape the cookies should take (lobsters and american flags!). Amanda was also able to incorporate an American flag into our cutting cake by layering the inside of the cake while the outside remained ivory. It was the perfect touch! The Newport Sweet Shoppe is reasonably priced and offers many delicious dessert and welcome bag options. Amanda is very talented and easy to work with. When you step in the door, you feel as though you're in dessert heaven!

I used Amanda Bryan from Newport Sweet Shoppe(formerly known as It's my Party Bake Shoppe) for my Aug 18th wedding in Newport and was extremely pleased with the service. My husband and I knew we wanted to do cupcakes for our wedding and originally we were going to go to Cupcake Charlies but their frosting to cake ratio was too much and they were a little more expensive then we wanted so we did a little searching. I came across this bakery at a wedding expo in Newport and fell in love. The cupcakes are delicious. Tons of different flavors and they were the perfect size. Amanda was great to work with, we tried about 6 different cupcakes at our tasting and she even let us take home the ones we couldn't eat there! She was very accomodating, we split our 200 cupcakes order into 6 different flavors, she made us a gorgeous 6 inch topper cake to cut into, she arranged them perfectly on the cupcake tower we had, no delivery fee(which was great, since Cupcake Charlies had a $150 one and they were closer to my venue then Newport Sweet Shoppe was!) She was even so helpful when 1 week before the wedding I asked her if I could have another 6 inch cake made up for the day before the wedding for my husband's brother's birthday! Overall I'm extremely pleased, I still go in for my cupcake fix!

We used It’s My Party, now named Newport Sweet Shoppe, to make our wedding cake, cupcakes and other wedding treats, we were so happy with their work. We meet once with Amanda the owner for a really fun tasting (we got to take the left over home!) and choose several different cupcake flavors and sizes. We also wanted a traditional cake to cut and Amanda suggested a real top layer and the rest was faux. The cake looked wonderful and no one knew the two bottom layers were fake. We then served our guests an assortment of cupcakes I believe it was 5 different flavors in total. Our guests raved about the cupcakes for weeks to come. The price of their sweets is also very reasonable; I can’t believe all we got for our money. I also used some of their delicious and adorable cookies for a thank you to my bridesmaids. There are so many fun and different options at their sweet shop. I would defiantly suggest using the Newport Sweet Shoppe (formally it’s my party).

I didn't work directly with It's My Party, as my wedding venue took care of it for me (Newport Yachting Center). However, I had to write this review because their wedding cakes were just so delicious. Typically, I don't love wedding cake, but this was the best. I had a 3 tiered cake, each a different flavor and had a lot of guests tell me how much they loved the wedding cake. Some of them said that if the band hadn't been so good, keeping them dancing, that they would have gone back for thirds or fourths! I provided a picture of exactly what I wanted the cake to look like and they nailed it!! I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to get a wedding cake or other desserts.

Everyone raved about the cake at the reception! It was SO moist and tasty! She did an amazing job decorating it, too, and following what we discussed and helped formulate the design. Really sweet to work with! I was really pleased to work with her. And the price was very good, too!

Amanda was such a pleasure to work with! She met with my husband and I on a few occasions and was accessible through email always. She created a flavor that she didn't normal make just for us! The finished product was exactly what I had envisioned!

We ordered our wedding cake from Amanda and were very happy. She does exceptional work, has the best prices ($3.50 a slice) and most importantly makes great tasting cakes. I also ordered by bridal shower cake and cookie favors for our rehearsal dinner from her. My only issue is we ordered two flavors for our wedding cake and all the guests we spoke to all had the same flavor, so we are nervous that the second flavor was made as our top layer which we did not want. We are considering cutting into the top layer of our cake just to make sure we don’t get a bad surprise on our anniversary. All said we are happy with our choice and would recommend this vendor.

I chose cupcakes for my wedding. When we visited the Newport Bridal Show, my fiance and both of our families tried every single cupcake we could find. It's My Party had the best tasting cupcakes hands down!!! I was thrilled to book them for our wedding. We had several varieties and one was better than the next. The decorations on the cupcakes and the presentation were just beautiful!! Amanda Bryan was such a pleasure to work with and amazingly talented! We also had her make cookie favors!! They were delicious sugar cookies shaped and decorated as various Newport items (sailboats, lighthouses, lobsters, etc) Our guests raved about how adorable and tasty they were!!
