Planning/prep in advance of the wedding was minimal and they had no problem accommodating my sister's request to sing with the band for one of our dances. We also changed our entrance song last minute and they were happy to adjust. The dance floor was packed the entire night and the band truly did know how to read the mood of everyone in the room. They are very accommodating and will make your entrances exactly how you want it! Their manager is also very easy to work with and communicated with us constantly. Overall, the band made our wedding so much fun! Our friends and family are still talking about it! A few of my friends who are getting married next year even grabbed their cards for their weddings. hem down when I got engaged bc they had to be at my wedding. And luck would have it that they had formed a wedding band!! I literally jumped up and down when I discovered that. They did such a great job and learned some of our favorite songs to play and seriously killed it! They did a slow version for my father daughter dance of My Girl that was just so perfect. All of my guests rocked out and had the most amazing things to say about The Nines. My husband and I were on the dance floor the entire time! THANK YOU THE NINES.

However, as the months and planning went along and we realized how large (and how expensive) our wedding was going to be, it didn't seem like it was going to happen and we were going to need to settle for a DJ. Every band we found was either within our budget but didn't sound very good or sounded incredible but were $12-15K which was WAY outside of our budget. I had just about given up and was starting to look into DJs when I came across The Nines on The Knot and was blown away by their demo reel video on their site. They sounded incredible but I also knew that computers and editing can do wonders and make anyone sound good so I had a bit of skepticism due to their affordability. Nonetheless, I contacted the band's management in mid-February and found out that they had our wedding date available (10/22/16) and that they happened to be doing a live show case that weekend at The Downtown in Red Bank, NJ. Since I had some reservations about whether they sounded as good in person as they did online, we went to The Downtown to check them out. To my delight and surprise, we had an absolute blast and were blown away by how great they sounded live! Although they are only 7 members, they are able to pack the sound of a 10-12 piece band with a full horn section. We wasted no time and immmediately booked them for our wedding the next day! I can honestly say that was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! From the moment their first set started until end of the night, the dance floor was COMPLETELY PACKED with guests from EVERY generation! The only time it cleared out a bit was when dinner was served, but even then, people were still out on the dance floor. I can't count the number of people all throughout our wedding night and since that have come up to me and asked "Who are these guys and where did you find them because they are absolutely amazing?!?!" It was great to know that Kim and I weren't the only ones who felt that way and based on how many people were dancing throughout the night, many many more people shared those same feelings! Even after the last song had wrapped, the entire room (240 guests!) started chanting "one more song! One more song!" and the band happily obliged and played a song I had requested (Joe Cocker's "Have a Little Help From My Friends") and again, knocked it out of the park with the perfect song to end our amazing wedding day with all of our friends and family! If you are engaged and in the midst of the craziness that is wedding planning, trying to weigh the pros and cons of a live band versus a DJ, trust me when I tell you: stop the debate and book The Nines ASAP!! The energy, talent, sound, and diverse blend of music spanning all genres and every decade coupled with how affordable they are makes it a no-brainer!! I've already discussed with my wife about how I want us to have a joint 30th birthday celebration (only 2.5 years away!) and hire The Nines and invite all of our friends and family to relive the night again! We cannot thank The Nines enough for how awesome they were; how easy they were to work with; and how they helped give us the PERFECT wedding celebration! Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU!

At my age, I've been to many! Forget DJ's, their energy and talent surpasses ALL! They had all ages up on the dance floor continuously for hours! Our family traveled a great distance to attend and they said that it was the best wedding ever! They will be talking about this wedding no doubt for a long time to come. Everyone asked "What is the name of the band"? You never hear this question the day AFTER the wedding. The guests were much impressed as well as the wedding party. I can not say enough good things about their talent and ability to rock a room!! My feet still hurt from dancing, but well worth the pain!

They are not only 'the band' but they were our MC for the night and kept everything moving along just in time. Plus I had little time to give them song suggestions and I trusted them and they played such a great mix of modern, oldies, classics that basically everyone danced all night! We also had 3 special song requests that they learned perfectly. Actually I couldn't tell if I was listening to the ACTUAL song of the person. The key to an awesome wedding is always the music and it really couldn't be more true. Our wedding wouldn't have been even close to the same without them. between the ages of 3 and probably 90! They played music that EVERYONE could enjoy...from a few oldies but goodies, to today's hits. We didn't need a DJ because they provided that as well. They are a band that can pretty much to ANYTHING. They listen and give you what you ask for. ALL of my friends are still talking about them... They will treat you like royalty and they take your wedding as seriously as if it were their own. EVERYONE LOVED THIS BAND

s! They are all wonderful musicians with amazing voices. Our guests are still talking about them a few months later! I was the first in my group of friends to get married, and the rest of my friends left the wedding saying that The Nines are our group wedding band, which is perfect because we can't wait to see them play again! They were very easy to work with and the Maitre D even commented that he loved them and they were a pleasure to have at the venue.
