We are so happy that we booked the North Beach Clubhouse for our wedding day on 10/26/24. The venue and location were absolutely stunning. We had our ceremony on the deck overlooking the ocean which made the perfect background for photos. Our guests were all so impressed by the beachside location. The layout of the venue allows for plenty of socializing and dancing; our guests had options to be inside, outside on the deck, and go onto the beach. It was the perfect size for our wedding guest count of 82.
Additionally, the staff members were all very friendly and quick to respond to any questions or requests. Margie and Lisa helped book and coordinate my event, keeping me updated along the way. They provided a list of preferred vendors who were all absolutely amazing and familiar with the venue, allowing for a stress-free day.
Overall, we could not have imagined a more perfect venue! I'd definitely recommend for any occasion.
North Beach Clubhouse is a STUNNING location for a small wedding. We have 75 people including us and it felt intimate but not crowded. The ceremony site out on the deck is beautiful and worth the price just for that. However if you are a bride please know they do NOT have a bridal suite and they do NOT really have a place for you to get ready/hide before the ceremony. They do have a roomy storage closet for storing outfit changes and items but we were under the impression we had full use of it and on the day of we found out it is also used as an office and we had to share the space. Just something to note. We rented a tent for outside and it was the PERFECT addition for dancing on an October night, they did put it up for us ahead of time. It IS expensive but definitely worth it! We had the best time there and got the most stunning photos. Just be aware they are are very strict with the day-of schedule and not flexible with that at all. Overall would recommend for a wedding with 100 guests or less!
We were beyond thrilled to discover the North Beach Clubhouse for our Welcome Party before our July 2023 wedding. The clubhouse offers the most quintessential beach party location! You certainly won’t find a better price for a venue on the beach in all of RI! Marjorie was very helpful in communicating what floorplan we wanted for the event and answered questions about the preferred vendors. This system works very well as the vendors I selected (Majestic Beatz and West Bay Gourmet) had worked at the North Beach Clubhouse many times and knew the ins and outs of where they could set up/ how the flow of the night would go. We were so excited to start off our wedding weekend by introducing our friends and family to RI in such a beautiful beachfront setting!
Terrible event coordinators. Went for a tour and agreed on a date to have a wedding. Was told to our face we had the date and we were all set so we started planning vendors and everything else, then north beach clubhouse calls and tells us oh sorry someone else has that day even though we were told to our face we had it reserved and we sent a check to hold the spot. Completely unprofessional.
We recently had our wedding 6/11/23 at NBC and it was more than we could have imagined. This venue is a hidden gem - Not only are the views great, but the building and deck are spacious and clean. Our guests loved the atmosphere this venue brought to our wedding. This is worth every penny, which is also very budget friendly!
This venue is a needle in a haystack! You cannot beat the views and the price is far below what most venues start at. Daisy, the coordinator, is kind, responsive, and very helpful! The indoor space is nice (and air conditioned) with recently updated bathrooms and the deck outside is just beyond. Venues down the road cost 10x the price for the same view and we truly are so happy with the North Beach Clubhouse- it was perfect!
We just had our wedding at the NBC and the reviews we've gotten from our guests are out of this world. The venue was simple, accessible and the location is enough decoration that you don't need to go overboard. They have tables and chairs for your use. Daisy, the venue manager is a pleasure to work with. She's quick to respond, and never once got annoyed with my 1,000 questions. She was a dream to coordinate our wedding with.
Beautiful views for the price! This venue was great for the location and was nice that we were able to have as little or as much as we wanted to do there. The only negative was towards the end of the wedding we were very rushed to end before our allotted time. The attendant was telling us to end earlier than we needed.
This beachfront venue is a beautiful wedding location. We chose The North Beach Clubhouse because it fit our budget and we liked that our ceremony and reception could take place at the same location. It's a small venue, accommodating only 90 guests, but this worked for our intimate laid-back vibe. The inside dining room has great hardwood floors, a full kitchen for the caterers, and lots of windows looking out to the ocean. The low ceilings could use an update, but they did add bistro lights which helps create a festive feel. The large outside deck is definitely what makes this venue perfect for an outdoor wedding. There is enough room for the ceremony and a tent for the reception/dancing.
We opted to rent a tent for the deck in case of inclement weather (and we're glad we did because the weather changed from sunny and clear to misty/rainy very quickly) which is an extra fee from the rental company. The tent itself costs just nearly as much as the venue (weddings are expensive...you don't know how expensive until you're planning one!). Because our wedding took place in September we were required to rent the side walls for the tent, an additional cost to the tent itself. When we arrived to set up on the wedding day the walls weren't even set up and we couldn't find them. Later in the night my groom discovered the walls in a pile on the ground near the deck. He called the rental company to ask why they weren't installed with the tent (since we were required to pay for them) and the person told us we were supposed to do it ourselves. This was unknown to us and should have been made more clear...also why can't a rental company put up side walls that we are paying for? Thankfully the rental company was kind enough to send someone to our wedding to put up the walls for us. So cons for us were obviously the tent issue and that no staff is included in the rental to help with any set-up or clean-up. Thankfully our family and friends helped with everything and we got our deposit back. Pros are that it's a great location, lots of parking for guests, includes table and chairs, and is a reasonable price for $10K budget.
In May, 2016, my daughter and I flew from Michigan to Rhode Island for a long weekend visit so I could see the venue where she and her finance planned to have their wedding reception for 90 people, in September, 2016.
Lisa, the Facility & Event Coordinator at the North Beach Clubhouse and I exchanged several emails and were able to coordinate our calendars to meet the day after we arrive, on a Friday morning. She welcomed us respectfully and professionally, showed us around, listened to our questions and gave us helpful suggestions.
One of the most important items on our list to discuss with Lisa was the lighting in the clubhouse because my daughter is negatively impacted by yellow lighting such as that used in office buildings, stores, schools, and in the clubhouse. This common ambient lighting triggers, in her, debilitating headaches that last for hours, ever since a car accident, a year ago.
Lisa responded to our concerns about the lighting with compassion and offered to talk with her management to see what she could do to help us to replace the light bulbs in the 11 clam shell shaped sconces and the 7 down lights above the bar area. She asked me to send her an email requesting different bulbs (that we would provide) be put in before the event date and taken out after the event for medical reasons. I sent the email. Lisa exceeded my expectations when she sent me back an email the very next day letting me know had approval for the maintenance crew to change the lighting for us. Thank you Lisa for going above and beyond, to make my daughters day safe and enjoyable for her.
Also, while we were there, she introduced us to Andrew, the owner of
A & E Event Rentals Inc. The current contracted provider for the clubhouse. He has been a pleasure to work with, as well. He is professional, a good listener, and helpful. He had numerous creative ideas to help us with the decorating to match the theme of our wedding (tables, chairs, etc.) and he was especially patient and helpful with our special lighting needs for inside the tent.
Lastly, When my daughter first broached the idea of having her wedding reception at the ocean’s edge via the North Beach clubhouse, she showed me pictures; its simple elegance eluded me. It wasn’t until I was there, in person, to experience it with all my senses, that I understood why she chose this venue.
Looking out from the deck, I saw a breathtaking view of the vast Atlantic Ocean and the horizon line where it met the expansive blue canopy of sky above it. I heard the seagulls calling and the gentle ocean waves lapping the shore. A few steps down from the dancing area, just off the spacious deck of the beach club, my daughter and I walked side-by-side in the cool, silky sand and felt the wind caress our faces and comb through our hair. We breathed in the calming, fresh scent of the salty, ocean air and I knew with a full body yes that this was the place we wanted to celebrate on her wedding day, with family and friends.
See you in September.
The beach club is extremely simple and almost "rustic". It is nice that they already have the tables and chairs as part of the venue so you don't have to spend extra on renting those. It is pretty inexpensive, although I was disappointed that they wouldn't allow my Grandmother, a resident of Narragansett for decades rent it under her name for the discount. We also had to pay an extra 106 dollars on "tulip insurance" which was never mentioned in the contract or viewing consultation with Lisa Roy, the head lady in charge. We never rented the tent, which was an extra 1400 and somehow it was up on our wedding day, we think that they may just keep it up all Summer and con people into paying the tent fee. The bathrooms could use updating especially if you are holding weddings at this venue.
We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful background though, Narragansett Beach is the best. The balcony was where everyone hung out and some even ventured into the water for a nice swim. It was a beautiful night!
This is the only place to have an intimate beach wedding. (We had 100 guests) The view is absolutely amazing. Watching the waves crash on the beach on your wedding day is priceless. The Clubhouse is a gorgeous setting and was really easy to work with. One of the most memorable moments of my wedding was when everyone changed into their bathing suits and went swimming.
The Clubhouse is such a great place for a intimate wedding (100). The deck is HUGE and the venue supplies the tables and chairs. The have a service bar with access from the deck or the room. We had ceremony on deck with dinner service inside.
LOVED IT. perfect location, great price, and EVERYONE had an amazing time!
We were truely able to make it our own beach wedding, without sitting in the sand. The view from the deck and the inside of the building for dinner were excellent.
You cannot beat the view for the price at this beautiful building right on Narragansett beach. They have a lot of restrictions being a town property, however totally worth it! I loved this view, perfect setting for our small (100 people) intimate ceremony on teh beach
This turned out to be such a great place for a wedding. I was so happy with it. We had beautiful weather so everyone hung out drinking and dancing on the deck overlooking the ocean. If it had rained, it would have been a bit stuffed, so I’d be aware of that when planning. We had 93 people and 10 tables, a DJ outside and a photobooth. Everyone loved the location and it’s very reasonably priced if you’re a Narragansett resident. Hadley is also very nice and accommodating. We also had our rehearsal dinner at the pavilion at the Narragansett community center, which you can also book through Hadley.
It was simple and beautiful. It is right on the beach so it had a perfect view. Also, it has a giant deck for outdoor dancing and celebrating!;It is on the smaller side so a wedding over 100 or so people would be too large for the venue. It is the perfect size for a more intimate wedding of 100 or less people...we had about 80 and it was perfect.
