NCMA has a special place in our hearts, having gone on some of our first dates here back in our college days at UNC and NCSU, and we immediately knew this was where we wanted to ge...
t married. Living in California, we were a little nervous about planning a wedding from across the country, but things really couldn't have been easier! Morgan was fantastic -- he took care of all the details that aren't as fun to makes decisions about, and we got to decide on all the things we did care about. The planning process (for 180 guest wedding) was a dream with the help of Morgan and his team :)
Our day went absolutely perfectly, which is a testament to the brilliant work of the folks at NCMA. The timing of the ceremony and reception was impeccable, the atmosphere was like a beautiful dream, and we honestly can't emphasize enough how it really was the best day of our lives. We felt like pinching ourselves the whole evening -- the joy, love, and elation was palpable, filling the museum's gorgeous interior with celebration. We danced all night and loved the buffet/no seating arrangement -- guests mingled and seemed to really take advantage of the free-form setup to just have a great time. And to cap things off, at the end of the night, we discovered three massive to-go boxes filled with scrummy food from Iris in our car, courtesy of Morgan! Thank you all so much for everything!
We cannot begin to express how happy we are that we had our wedding ceremony and reception at the North Carolina Museum of Art. It was everything we could have imagined and more. F...
rom our first meeting through the exit after the ceremony, it was seamless. Morgan, the event director for the museum, is amazing. He is very experienced and helped reduce a lot of stress that typically comes with weddings. Morgan is the best!!!
Our guests are still talking about how beautiful the museum was, how much they loved the food, and all the fun they had. For anyone looking for a beautiful, turnkey wedding venue, we'd highly recommend the North Carolina Museum of Art!
Everything about having my wedding ceremony and reception at the North Carolina Museum of Art was a dream come true. It was a winter wedding with 160 guests. The ceremony was held ...
indoors in the West Gallery, and we had a seamless transition right in to cocktails and dinner (station style). Morgan Greer and Brittany Byers (our event planners) were incredibly detail oriented, and didn't let one single thing slip through the cracks. As a "type A" person myself, it was hard to let go of the reins, but if there was anyone I would trust to bring my bridal vision to life - it was the two of them! And boy, did they deliver. The Art Museum already has a pre-set vendor list for cake, flowers, food, and drink - but the best part is, they're top of the line vendors in all of these categories. It actually made the experience easier for me as a bride (since there are so many other things to coordinate!). They were also able to accommodate our 12 person band, and we danced the night away with glow sticks and champagne in hand - it was a magical, memorable evening. Kudos to all of the staff for their professionalism and flawless execution. I would recommend the NC Art Museum as a top Raleigh wedding venue!
Everything was absolutely perfect!! Morgan Greer (the event coordinator) was an absolute dream to work with. He was extremely flexible and understanding. I felt that he really list...
ened to me and made my bridal dreams reality. The food and atmosphere were outstanding. My guests told me it was one of the most beautiful/fun weddings they'd ever attended. I would highly recommend the NCMA. It's a fully "turn-key" venue other than photography, entertainment & an officiant so that was a huge plus. Also, the price is absolutely reasonable considering the final product. I cannot say enough positive about Morgan & the NCMA! If I could do my wedding over again, I would for sure do it there!!!
I loved the event director at the art museum. He was very detail-oriented and I felt very comfortable with him overseeing our wedding. I also loved the food and drinks. The pri...
ces are very reasonable and since the art museum is non-profit there is no sales tax which saves alot of money!;They have very specific timelines for when vendors can start setting up and when everyone has to be out due to museum operating hours. Also they do not allow sparklers!
