I cannot recommend Oak Barn enough! Not only is the venue stunning and beautiful, the venue owners, Barb & Ernie, are fantastic!!!! From the start, they were kind, responsive, detail orientated, and treated us like family. We fell in love with Oak Barn because of the stunning mountain views, and how private the space is. Oak Barn has an intimate environment and Barb and Ernie truly want the best for your wedding day. I highly recommend Oak Barn! We will forever cherish our special day 🤍

I fell in love with The Oak Barn at Loyalty the moment I saw photos online. My then-fiancé (now husband!) agreed to go tour it but made it very clear that we were just looking and wouldn't be making any decisions that day. Well, by the end of our tour and meeting Barb and Ernie, he was the one asking for a contract! The property is absolutely breathtaking. The views are stunning, the barn is magical, and what makes this venue truly special is that it feels like you're getting married at a beautiful family property rather than a corporate wedding venue. There is so much warmth and charm in every detail. But as incredible as the property is, Barb and Ernie are what make The Oak Barn truly exceptional. From the very beginning, they were kind, thoughtful, thorough, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our wedding everything we dreamed of. They helped us think through details and ideas we hadn't even considered, and their preferred vendor list was an invaluable resource. We ended up booking most of our vendors from their recommendations, and every one of them helped make our day perfect. On our wedding day, we woke up to rain, but I never once felt stressed about it. Even the backup plans at The Oak Barn are stunning, and I knew we were in wonderful hands. Ernie spent the entire day outside making sure the property was absolutely perfect, and thankfully, the rain stopped and we ended up with the most beautiful weather and an absolutely magical setting for our ceremony and celebration. Barb was as sweet and reassuring as ever, checking in to make sure I had nothing to worry about. Everything came together more beautifully than we could have imagined! What really speaks to the kind of people they are is that after the wedding, Barb and Ernie genuinely wanted to know if there was anything they could have done better. And I can honestly say I had absolutely nothing to offer. From the day we signed our contract to the morning after our wedding when we picked up our belongings, the entire experience was flawless. I cannot recommend The Oak Barn at Loyalty enough. If you're considering this venue, go tour it. Just don't be surprised if you walk out asking for a contract like my husband did! Barb and Ernie are truly wonderful people, and we will forever be grateful that we got to celebrate one of the most important days of our lives at their beautiful property.

The venue itself was absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect setting for our wedding. From the ceremony space, cocktail hour, to reception, the venue is incredible! We received so many compliments from guests on the location/venue itself. Luckily it did not rain, but the rain plan is really great if needed! What we appreciated most was how much we could trust them to help take care of the details. They made sure it was exactly what we envisioned. Wedding planning can be overwhelming, and having a venue that was organized, accommodating, and supportive made such a difference. ning, we could tell that the venue was well maintained and designed with love. The space is immaculate, inspired, and warm. Beyond the venue itself, Ernie and Barb are like two extra wedding planners in that they are involved the whole way! They shared a list of vendors that we worked off of almost exclusively. Not only did this take the guesswork out of trying to decide who to choose, it also gave us confidence that the folks on the list knew the venue intimately. This venue is stunning both inside and out. On our special day, we were hit with a nor’easter and Barb and Ernie sprung into action with the perfect rain plan. It was such a strong back up plan that some guests commented that it was warmer and more intimate than an outdoor ceremony would have been anyway. They were patient with us and helped support every step of the way—Ernie was nice enough to even drive me (bride) down to the barn so I didn’t get my dress wet walking over. On the special night, Ernie and Barb attend in case anything is needed and checked in throughout. I felt at ease knowing they were at the helm. I honestly can’t imagine getting married anywhere else! We love Barb and Ernie!!

Ernie and Barb opened up their venue and home to us and made the entire experience feel personal from the moment the bride and groom met them. Their communication was excellent throughout the planning process, and they worked closely with us to bring everything together. Ernie was available throughout the night, ready to work with our coordinator whenever anything came up so we could relax and enjoy the celebration. We were so happy that they both could enjoy the evening with us. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the Oak Barn at Loyalty! This was not a first marriage for my husband and me, so we didn’t have all of the traditional aspects of a wedding....

We wanted a brief wedding ceremony, but wanted to focus on visiting with our family and friends. Barb and Ernie were so helpful with suggestions in making our wedding/reception just what we wanted and to run as smoothly as possible. They are extremely professional and present all expectations and guidelines up front, so there are no surprises down the road. The venue is absolutely beautiful! The barn itself is spacious, clean, warm, and inviting. Our wedding was in late July with hot temperatures. The barn is climate-controlled and was very comfortable. The outdoor spaces including the courtyard, sitting area, and grounds around the barn offer ample space for guests to mingle and be comfortable during your event. There was plenty of parking space for our guests. The view from the barn is spectacular as well, with a beautiful sunset view. They have many dining tables, chairs, cocktail tables, and display tables in stock. We had 66 guests, a welcome table, a guest book table, dessert table, and a take-home snack/water table and we did not have to provide or rent any additional tables or chairs. We could not have been happier with our experience at the Oak Barn and will have such sweet memories of our wedding and time spent with family and friends.

ments, from the ceremony site to the grand entrance and exit, to the patio lit up at night, and so much more. There were flowers in bloom perfectly placed for our first look, and arches inside and outside ready to be decorated. We had ceremony flowers transferred for the reception and we were allowed to decorate the rafters as well. What you can’t see is that the owners Barb and Ernie are awesome. They were extremely friendly and communicative and always made themselves available for any questions we had. They have a very curated list of vendors they’ve worked with before, which was long enough that it didn’t feel restrictive but really helped us streamline the process because without a starting point, the number of vendors out there is totally overwhelming. We could tell that our planner and caterer knew them well and they were familiar with the venue, which I think helped things run smoothly on our day. The fact that the barn has both heat and A/C gave us so much peace of mind, and even in April things got warm enough that we had cool things down as the evening went on. Barb and Ernie let us bury a bourbon bottle on site a month out from our wedding, a tradition that is supposed to ensure good weather and keep the rain away. The weather on our wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect, and digging it up was a really fun and special part of the day. They were very accommodating to special requests. They don’t usually allow bands, but we wanted to have a live jazz band on the patio for our cocktail hour and they let us. They also let us schedule visits as much as we wanted, so I was able to show my bridesmaids the venue on the way to my bachelorette trip. There are lots of lovely venues out there, but the vendors you choose to work with make just as much of an impact. You spend one day having your wedding, but months and months under contract with them during the planning process. We couldn’t be happier with the venue itself and the experience we had leading up to the wedding.

From our very first visit, Ernie and Barb had a way of making is feel like our wedding was a genuine priority, not just another date on the calendar. That sense of security shaped every decision we made leading up to the day. We knew that whatever vendors we chose, whatever small things went sideways, Ernie and Barb were not going to let our wedding fail. They’re more than willing to let you customize just about anything you want, and always ready with a great recommendation if you’re not sure about something. We ended up booking almost all of our vendors from their curated list of recommendations (Dapper DJs, Classic Catering, all Pro Charters) - all of which worked out perfectly. It ended up raining on our wedding day, but rather than panic, we watched Ernie and Barb work seamlessly alongside our coordinator to adapt, problem-solve, and keep the day moving. The result? An absolutely fantastic wedding. Aside from that - they’re just a lovely couple who were easy and fun to interact with. You really get the feeling they host weddings because they enjoy making the couple’s wedding day special.

fter we left our visit we knew it was our venue. Barb and Ernie are both professional and straightforward but also such warm and welcoming people. They kept us up to date on our deadlines and were always a text or call away throughout the planning process if we needed help. We felt confident that they would take care of us on our big day and felt completely relaxed during our wedding knowing they had everything under control. A couple of guests even mentioned to us after the event that they loved talking to both of them during our reception and ceremony. We were so glad they were watching over us and making everyone feel at home! We would be remiss if we didn’t mention how wonderful the entire venue is as well. The Oak Barn is BEAUTIFUL and the property is one of a kind. We loved the mountains in the background and were also told by our guests how special they thought the scenery was. views were truly the reason we fell in love with the venue. The barn itself is stunning inside and made for such a warm, elegant atmosphere. Barb and Ernie are wonderful owners and were so attentive throughout the entire process. They genuinely care about their couples and took the time to make sure everything ran smoothly the day of, including coordinating with vendors and keeping things on schedule. They also take such pride in maintaining the property, and it really shows. One of the biggest conveniences for us was that the Oak Barn only hosts one wedding per weekend. This took so much stress out of the logistics — we were able to drop off decorations on Friday during our rehearsal and then pick up anything we couldn’t fit in the car on Sunday. It felt relaxed and unrushed, unlike other venues that try to fit in as many weddings as possible. We also found their pricing to be very reasonable for everything included, especially when compared to other venues we toured. Another huge help during planning was their list of preferred vendors. Having reliable options to choose from made the entire process so much smoother and less overwhelming. We couldn’t recommend the Oak Barn more — it’s a beautiful venue with thoughtful owners who truly care about their couples and the experience they provide.

The natural scenery, especially the breathtaking backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains during our ceremony, made the day feel magical and picture-perfect. It was truly the venue of our dreams. It was incredibly convenient that The Oak Barn at Loyalty offers two separate spaces for the bridesmaids and groomsmen to get ready. The Oak Barn at Loyalty provides the best rain plan we’ve seen. It is well planned, spacious, and still provides incredible views of the outdoors. Ernie and Barb are truly exceptional. rain plan in case of bad weather (luckily, we had perfect weather the day of the wedding but it was a relief knowing the rain plan would have been great). The owners, Barb and Ernie, were so wonderful to work with. They are really lovely people and you can tell they do this because they love it. They were there the day of the wedding and made sure that everything was perfect. We knew we were in good hands. From the bridal suite, to the grooms lounge, to the grounds, and the barn...it was all perfect. Our guests loved the venue and told us how beautiful the barn and venue was. I am so so happy we chose The Oak Barn for our wedding!

t. The location is private, but still close enough to nearby hotels and activities. The barn is beautifully rustic, but not worn down since it’s relatively new. The view of the Blue Ridge mountains made for the perfect backdrop for our outdoor ceremony and the tall grass off to the side made for the most stunning sunset photos. The bridal and grooms suite were the perfect areas to get ready in before the ceremony since they aren’t connected, so each group gets their own private space. Not to mention how helpful and awesome Barb and Ernie were to work with. You can tell they truly love what they do and treat every couple as if they were their own kids. I also loved that they provide you with a preferred vendor list because it makes choosing your vendors so much easier, especially when planning an out of town wedding like we did. I can’t thank Barb and Ernie enough for helping us have the wedding of our dreams at Oak Barn!

It is exactly one month since our daughter's wedding at the Oak Barn at Loyalty, and we are still on cloud nine! It was the first and best decision we made in planning the wedding....

The beautiful mountain views and scenic property create magic for the wedding photos. "Stunning" is the word our guests used repeatedly. We were fortunate to have great weather and could really partake in all the amenities the Oak Barn offers. The lovely patio with twinkling strings lights can be used all day and evening. The covered patio area with the fireplace provided a respite for those looking for a quiet moment as did the upstairs balcony. And corn hole allowed some friendly competition! But the Barn itself is truly the show stopper. Even if it had rained, I wouldn't have worried because the inside space is easily convertible between ceremony and reception. A large wooden bar was added upstairs this year, and it was one of our guests favorite things. But the absolute best thing about booking with Oak Barn is Barb and Ernie. They are THE BEST! They truly want you to have the wedding of your dreams and they will do whatever they can to ensure you do. They know their venue inside and out and can offer suggestions on any topic. Their standards and expectations for vendors are high but the mutual respect we saw between both groups was clear. On the biggest day of your life, you couldn't be in better hands! And you leave the experience feeling like you have a second family. As a mom, this meant a great deal to me.
