OVE!! We booked it on the spot! We had no idea just how extraordinary the experience would truly be.
The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. Every single detail is a perfect 10—the architecture, the layout, the bridal suite, the grooms suite, the flow of the ceremony and reception spaces, the patio, the lighting, the grounds… all of it. It’s clean, well kept, elevated. It’s literally immaculate! We got so much great feedback from our guests on how much they loved our venue. A fun detail I loved is they had a grandparent suite for elderly guest, who did not love the loud music during reception. The venue itself is very quiet and has great privacy, which is obviously what anyone would want on their wedding day if it rains, you are covered! The bridal suite is every girls dream- So much space, and so girly! The grooms suite was perfect and they loved getting to hangout in there. Not to mention they have the best photo spots!

I don’t even know if stellar is the right word, because they are beyond that. Angela (the owner), Sarah, Megan, and everyone else behind the scenes- They are exceptional in every sense. Every person on their staff treated us with a level of kindness, professionalism, and generosity that we will never forget. They went above and beyond for us in ways they absolutely did not have to. They anticipated needs before we even voiced them. They handled details we never expected them to take on. They made our day feel seamless, peaceful, and so deeply cared for. Choosing the right venue and team can make or break your wedding day experience and it is so important to pick the right one. We are so glad we did and we felt so confident in their ability to take care of us and have our backs the day of our wedding!

and were truly happy to do so. Even though this is a newer venue to the Gainesville area, Angela and her team were a pleasure to work with and they care deeply about their venue and their couples. We opted to hold our ceremony inside as well as use their bar package services which went smoothly. We couldn’t imagine our wedding happening anywhere else. We would highly recommend this venue to any couples who haven’t found the perfect place to say “I do” with plenty of space for not just for ceremony and celebrations, but for the bride and groom to both kickback, relax, and enjoy their day.

eel, the accessibility of the venue, the lighting inside and outside, and the STUNNING groom and bridal suites. My husband and I were glad the groom got treated with a nifty and comfortable space. Our families and friends had such fantastic things to say about the venue on our wedding day. Our family and friends with babies greatly appreciated the family room to be able to step away as needed to privately feed their little kiddos! On the day of our wedding, we moved our ceremony inside due to a thunderstorm and it was still so perfect. We had worship songs in our ceremony, and the voices resounded beautifully in the space while the songs were sung. The design of the room made that moment all the more perfect!
Angela was always so quick to respond with our questions and paused throughout meetings to let us ask questions as they arose. She helped us ensure that all of our vendors were set up to successfully participate in our wedding day. She was flexible and gracious with us during the planning process as plans evolved. My husband and I felt so supported and encouraged by Angela throughout the whole time we were working with The Oakley, right from our very first time stepping on the property to tour!

The Oakley on the Lake was our perfect wedding venue, a place that I dreamed up in my head and had given up looking for until I found the renderings of this magical place that didn't exist yet. I contacted Angela, who owns the venue, and toured the site while it was under construction. Though there were no walls yet, or electricity, or running water, I could tell that my vision was in line with Angela's and I trusted that it would be spectacular. It did not disappoint! From the gorgeous souring ceilings to the huge steel frame windows, it turned out perfectly. We used the pavilion as our ceremony space and it was spacious enough for almost 200 guests to sit comfortably with a view of the woods and the shimmering lake behind us. We used every inch of the outdoor space. We had beer pong, corn hole, a cocktail truck, a raw bar, a portrait lounge, and half of our tables all outside, which stays pristine because it's all turf and no grass or mud. The bridal suite is beautiful, with a wall of mirrors for getting hair and makeup done and a large bench swing outside for the bridesmaids to hang out and take photos. They didn't skimp on groom suite either. It has a beautiful leather couch and a pool table and is a great space for the groomsmen to get ready.
Angela and her family are incredible and took such great care of us from the very beginning. When I mentioned that I was trying to source a canoe to fill with beer and seltzers, Angela told me that she had a canoe at her house that we could use! Her husband fixed it up and painted it and made it exactly like the pictures I had saved. It turned out beautiful! I asked Angela if we could pay to add more string lights to light up more of the space on the day of our wedding, and instead, she took care of it for us and expanded their lighting set up. She was allows attentive and responsive and nothing but lovely, as was her husband, daughter, and son. She even surprised me at the end of our reception by bringing her son's dog Tito in, who my husband and I adore, to say hi at the end of the night! I have nothing but good things to say and I am already trying to think of good excuses to go back to The Oakley just to visit because we already miss it. I cannot say thank you enough to Angela and her whole family, you guys are the best!
I don't have many photos because we haven't gotten our photos back from our photographer yet, but I'll post them when I do!
Angela has been the best in accommodating everything we want for our wedding day! I would highly recommend her and her venue for future weddings/events.
