The Old Blue Rooster Event Center

We are so so thankful that we booked with The Old Blue Rooster! The venue is absolutely gorgeous!! I also envisioned a rustic/woodsy wedding and we got just that! The venue and property is beautiful in itself and did not require a lot of decorating which definitely relived a lot of stress! Not to mention the cost is very affordable and did not seem real with just how beautiful it is and how reliable Lorraine is. We could not have asked for anything more or different. Lorraine is absolutely amazing! She was able to answer all of the questions we had quickly and was very informative. Anytime we had a question and emailed or texted her, she responded very quickly and we did not have to wait for a response. She is very accommodating and we could not have asked for a better person to help us make our day perfect! We rented the groomsmen area, the lodge and the barn and had plenty of room for our wedding party and guests! The day of, it POURED down rain in the morning but cleared up within hours of the wedding and the outside area was dry and we were able to have our wedding outside. Due to the rain, we were not able to decorate outside in time but thankfully due to the property being so beautiful, it wasn't even needed. We will always recommend the venue for future weddings for friends, baby showers, bridal showers and parties!

The Old Blue Rooster Event Center was the perfect place for our country wedding reception! We were married in a historic park near the event center and spent the afternoon/evening at the Old Blue Rooster for our reception. Lorraine was wonderful to work with - she made our wedding easy to plan! She was open to meeting our requests for specific wines/beers, as well as room setup. She makes everything seamless by providing optional linens, bartender, and list of potential caterers. We utilized the smaller building since our reception was small and it was perfect for our reception. I highly recommend this venue!

Wow!! We hit gold with the Old Blue Rooster. The whole process was so low-stress and enjoyable! From first tour to booking to communicating all the details of our wedding to the big day, we were so thankful for OBR and their awesome team! When I walked in on our wedding day, my breath was literally taken away at the beauty. We couldn’t recommend it more….also, the price?!! Can’t beat it.

I could not have asked for a better venue for my wedding. Lorraine was great at communication and made me feel comfortable asking her questions along the way. The venue was clean and well-organized. We had our ceremony outside and it was well kept up with. The benches and the archway and in good condition. We were able to decorate wherever we felt like the day of the wedding. I would recommend this venue!

Lorraine and the entire OBR team were FANTASTIC to work with! The entire planning process and communication with them seriously could not have been easier. I was able to visit the venue twice before booking. Lorraine answered all my questions and addressed all my concerns throughout the planning process and in the months leading up to the wedding. We had a blast using the lodge and grooms' suite to get ready the morning of the wedding. The venue is absolutely stunning -- inside and outside! If I could go back and do it all over again, I would absolutely make the same decision and get married at the OBR. 10/10 recommend, for sure!!

This place is beyond beautiful, especially if you are getting married in the fall. There is a beautiful outside ceremony area, but with Ohio if it doesn't cooperate, they have made a beautiful alternative inside for you as well. From start to finish Lorraine and her team were so helpful in every step of this process. If we had any questions, Lorraine was just a text message away. They have extremely affordable packages and even allow you to bring in your own outside food. They have a bar onsite that comes with staff to serve you day of. If you have specific alchol preferences, they are able to order that for you. Also they have a lodge onsite that came with our package, that we used for the bridal party to get ready in. We also left all of our stuff we used to get ready and set up decor wise in that lodge during our wedding. I loved that we were able to have both the ceremony and the reception in the same place. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone getting married.

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding. Lorraine and her staff were so easy to work with and so accommodating and helpful. Lorraine especially made sure the entire process was seamless and stress free. The venue itself is beautiful and the reception space was the perfect size for our guests. The outdoor ceremony space is stunning as well. Overall a really great experience, 10/10!

This was the perfect venue for our wedding reception! Not only was it so beautiful, but Lorraine made the process so easy and stress-free. She was very responsive & made sure everything was put in place that we needed/wanted for our day. Our day ran smoothly and everything was perfect. There is a bridal suite on site to get ready in, plenty of parking for guests, clean bathrooms inside, a beautiful outdoor area, and overall clean, beautiful and open reception area! We couldn’t have asked for a better vendor to work with!! Highly recommend to any future brides!

The Old Blue Rooster was an amazing venue and very easy to work with. Their prices were reasonable and the venue was updated and beautiful. Perfect venue for some amazing pictures. It was close to many large cities but also felt very secluded and peaceful during the ceremony. Working with Lorraine and each employee from the OBR was very easy and we had no problems. I definitely recommend the OBR for any event!

This venue was exactly what we were looking for. Rustic barn style with a modern large reception space to cool down from the summer afternoon. There are multiple packages to choose from to stay within your budget. From the lodge (where the girls get ready) to the new grooms getting ready suite, it has everything you could ask for. Lorraine, the owner, was very informative, helpful and responsive with any of our concerns or questions.

I love how Lauren was way to work with and very responsive! The price was awesome! It’s so beautiful the reception hall and the ceremony area! My guests loved it! I couldn’t have asked for a better place! And I knew it was meant to be when a rainbow appeared the day we did a walk thru.

OBR was the perfect place to have our wedding! We got married in May 2023 and it was so important to us to find a flexible space as we planned our day! It ended up raining the morning of our wedding and we were able to wait until the last possible minute to set the reception hall up and got to have our beautiful outdoor ceremony!! Lorraine was so helpful and we even met several of our other vendors at their open house. Lots of different package options, so easy to stay in budget and well worth the price!! The staff member, Ashley on site during our event was also kind and willing to help us, highly recommend!!!

I simply cannot say enough amazing things about Old Blue Rooster! My husband and I got married at the barn in June of 2022- After touring the barn in 2021, we immediately canceled all of our other venue tours because we knew we found our perfect spot! Lorraine was very hands-on and readily available to answer any questions/ concerns we had in the planning process. The rest of the staff was friendly, professional, and overall amazing, as wel! The outdoor ceremony space required very minimal decor because it is already set up so beautifully- which I loved as a “DIY” bride on a budget! The inside was very spacious and worked very well for our small wedding of 75 guests, but can comfortably accommodate many more people. The property itself is perfect for outdoor activities such as cornhole, s’mores, and lawn games. To say Old Blue Rooster fulfilled my “fairytale” wedding vision would be an absolute understatement. Almost 1 year later and I’m still in awe of how perfect the day went.

The people that worked at the venue(Lorraine, Ashley, Sam) were the very best to work with. We couldn’t have asked for better. They were friendly and tried to meet our every need. Thank you!

I had my wedding here April 30, 2022 in the event barn. It was a better experience than I could’ve ever wished for! Lorraine is such an amazing person and so easy to work with. On the day of the wedding, amidst all the craziness, I actually stopped and looked at my husband and said “today is absolutely perfect and we’ve been so lucky to have the most amazing vendors” The venue is gorgeous, the price is more than fair, and they are willing to work with you to make sure it’s everything you want and more. I can’t say enough great things about it!! You can’t go wrong with the Old Blue Rooster!

The barn was the perfect venue for our wedding!!! The ceremony location was beautiful with the fall trees! Having the lodge to utilize for getting ready the day of was si convenient. From booking to day of event everything went so smoothly! Lorraine was responsive and so easy to work with! She was helpful with answering all of our questions and providing assistance when needed. Lorraine and her staff were absolutely amazing for the entire wedding process! I was able to ask as many questions as I needed to whenever I needed to and someone was always accessible to answer them. The venue was very y priced compared to other barn venues and it even comes with the bar and bartenders (open bar for a fee). The property at the barn was absolutely stunning. Even though it rained, there were still plenty of spaces available to take pictures! The bartenders day of, even had fun with us! They let us bring in a shot ski and were laughing and interacting with us the entire time. Definitely ask about having Jenn with JCM Events to coordinate your big day! Overall I would actually give OBR and the staff 10/5 stars because I am honestly that glad we had our wedding here. It was absolutely a day to remember and the people and the place made it as wonderful as it was.

My daughters wedding was perfect, and the Old Blue Rooster was the perfect venue . Lorraine was so helpful and easy to work with throughout the entire process. The day of the wedding Ashley was our go to person and everything went according to plan. We had many compliments on the venue. The bartenders were awesome, decorating was easy, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day. There is also an area outside for the ceremony, but due to a December wedding we did not use that space.

I would absolutely recommend the OBR to anyone looking for a wedding venue! I had the most magical experience on my wedding day, October 1, 2021. Lorraine was absolutely fantastic and helped us every step of the way. She and the entire staff made the day absolutely perfect! We rented the Lodge for the bridesmaids to get ready and I would do it all over again. The outdoor venue area is easily accessible and absolutely gorgeous, the inside worked perfectly - we rented our own white chairs and it ended up being so wonderful. 10/10!

I have absolutely nothing bad to say about my experience at the OBR Barn! Not only is the venue incredibly beautiful, but the staff are unbeatable! Lorraine, event manager, is so kind, accommodating, and easy to get ahold of. She was always quick to answer questions, make changes to our plan as needed, and always tried hard to accommodate any requests we had. Our experience with Lorraine alone would have been enough for me to recommend this venue to anyone & everyone! However, the night of our wedding, we got to meet even more staff who helped us set up and clean up and ran the bar for the event, and they were just as wonderful! I am so incredibly grateful to OBR for the perfect wedding experience. A few tips on the Barn: 1. Rent the lodge! It’s worth the extra money to have extra space right there on the property! And it’s a great getaway space if you need a break or a quiet moment alone with your new spouse. 2. They have a liquor license, so you must purchase alcohol through the venue and cannot bring outside alcohol. But they have so many options! & when we realized the night before that we wanted champagne for mimosas during our morning of getting ready, it was so easy for me to reach out and ask them to have some available for us and add it to our bar tab! 3. Ask them about their associate vendors! They have a Day of Coordinator/Planner that does weddings there all the time, so she is very knowledgeable about the venue & best way to do things. They also work closely with a linens company, that was so hassle-free! They had the linens there for us when we arrived, and all we had to do at the end of the night was leave them in a bag at the venue! Both of these vendors were extremely affordable and made all the difference in our day! 4. Don’t second guess it, just book here!! They have two beautiful locations to choose from, & the incredible staff will make your day so stress free and wonderful. You won’t regret it!

The Old Blue Rooster was a beautiful place to hold our wedding. The people there were so kind and were quick to answer any questions that we had about setting up and getting ready for our special day.

Wonderful venue space! The staff was so friendly & helpful to myself (the photographer) & the couple. Plenty of getting ready space in the lodge. The outdoor ceremony space is so lovely and it’s surrounded by the best backdrops of large grass fields and cornfields. So cute! Hope to shoot another wedding here again.

We used the venue for a graduation party; however, it would be a great facility for a wedding/reception. We had approximately 200 people and it didn't feel crowded. The grounds are well kept with a covered bridge, pond, swing, and gazebo. Tons of photo opportunities. The prep area in the back of the bar is perfect for storing/prepping food. Staff was responsive and punctual always. We'll definitely use the venue in the future.

This venue was ABSOLUTELY perfect for our outdoor wedding on May 22, 2021! Lorraine was so easy to work with during the pre-wedding work and Jessica was amazing on-site the day of the wedding. We got married at The Shelter House and the grounds were absolutely beautiful. My guests raved about what a gorgeous venue I chose. Everything was flexible so I was able to create the perfect day for my husband and I. Cant thank them enough!

The Shelter house was perfect to have our postponed reception at! We wanted something that had access to outdoor space for yard games, and Lorraine was great to work with! Lots of parking for all our family and we had a tap truck that pulled up right to the venue. Highly recommend booking this hidden gem!

We rented this location for a bridal shower. Excellent location. Very clean. Lorraine was very accommodating and easy to work with. Note: be prepared to bring everything you need for food prep/serving. Other than oven/warmer/microwave/fridge, you will need to provide everything else. Bring your own spatulas, spoons, utensils, etc.

OBR was the perfect place for our fall wedding!! There was plenty of dancing room and we got a lot of compliments on the scenery. I would highly recommend booking at the OBR Shelter House. Lorraine & her team are awesome!!!

We had a wonderful experience having our wedding reception at The Old Blue Rooster. The Old Blue Rooster Barn is an awesome place to have a wedding and reception. We had our son’s reception there 3 years ago and our daughter’s wedding and reception in November. OBR the barn has so much charm, the outside venue is perfect for an intimate ceremony, we used the lodge for the girls to get ready in, the grounds are spacious and the landscaping is elegant the dinning hall really brings elegance with a rustic vibe too. Our wedding turned out so charming and whimsical, and the event staff was great and very personal. Highly recommend!

The barn was the most beautiful wedding setting with an outdoor ceremony space! We knew as soon as we visited the venue for our first visit that it was going to be where we would get married. Lorraine was amazing and so helpful and would text and email me right away. I can’t wait until we get all of our pictures back so that we can share them and everyone can see how beautiful it really is!

You really can't go wrong with either location at Old Blue Rooster. They are both amazingly beautiful and the staff is great to work with. During the planning process, I had a lot of questions and Lorraine was more than happy to keep me on track not only with my budget, but with what I would need the day of. Even things I never would have thought of! Jessica was with me the day of and was so helpful if I need anything. Overall- We are completely satisfied with the entire process but especially our day! We couldn't have asked for a better venue.

When I saw the outdoor ceremony space from a Facebook picture at The Barn at OBR I knew that this is where I wanted to get married! Lorraine was so helpful throughout the entire planning process by answering all of our questions and making helpful suggestions to personalize everything for us! Everything was perfect for our wedding! Our bartenders were fantastic at our wedding and everything looked so beautiful! Air conditioning for a mid July wedding was a must and the lodge was a perfect space to get ready in! Our photographer, videographer, and makeup artist loved the lodge and the location with all the natural light. I can't say enough good things about this venue and their staff!

Couldnt have asked for a better venue. Great staff, flexible and responsive. Gorgeous venue with an outdoor ceremony space that we used AND the reception space literally right next to each other. Extensive array of alcoholic beverage choices, have to buy through them because of their liquor license. Can work with ALL budgets. Wish I could replay my wedding day so I could relive it again at this beautiful space.

We are so thankful we had at our wedding and reception at The Old Blue Rooster: The Shelter House! Lorraine and Jessica were so kind, flexible, and organized. Everything was beautiful and perfect, and I would definitely recommend having your wedding here! The scenery was gorgeous, there was plenty of space, and the staff was amazing. All of our vendors had plenty of space, there were plenty of tables for our guests and food and vendors. They had linens on site to be rented as well as a drink trough, a drink stand with plenty of drinks and ice, and beautiful decor like a hoop for greenery. I am so pleased!

Where do I begin. Choosing the Old Blue Rooster for our wedding was the best decision we could have made. The outdoor ceremony space is beautiful and the inside of the venue speaks for itself with minimal decorations. The staff was more than accommodating and worked so hard to make sure our day was perfect. Lorraine was quick to return any calls and texts and made our wedding planning process a breeze. We hired Alisa, our coordinator, for all our day of wedding needs. I'm 100% positive we wouldn't have made it through our wedding day without her. She discreetly handled any issues to ensure that we were fully focused on having the most fun. I will forever cherish our wedding day at OBR and highly recommend this venue to any future brides. You won't regret :)

My husband and I got married at the Barn June 8th and the day was perfect. The barn is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for an elegant rustic wedding. Lorraine and her staff were amazing and very accommodating. We booked our date a year and half out and Lorraine always checked in with me and was very responsive with my emails. The staff is very friendly and made everything about the day perfect. I would recommend the Old Blue Rooster to anyone! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would!

We held our wedding on at Old Blue Rooster Shelter House in May of 2019. The space was better than we expected. We booked it in the fall so the property was not in full bloom but when we showed up in May they had everything looking amazing! The staff was so helpful and flexible with our needs. They made sure everything ran smoothly. Highly recommend using this space and working with this staff!

The Old Blue Rooster was the perfect place for our Wedding. We started planning a little over a year beforehand with Lorraine, and she was so helpful through the entire process. She is continually working with several brides at a time and was able to respond to any of my emails within the day I sent it. The venue is beautiful and super affordable. The day we set up, we realized we were missing a table and Alyssa was our go to person for that day and the day of the wedding. She was able to work so well with us and rolled with everything we asked for and even made suggestion that made our day even more perfect. I think it would be hard to find a better, more reliable staff for our wedding. There's no way we could thank them enough!

The shelterhouse was great with many options for photos and ceremony needs. The staff was very helpful and informative and willing to work with our special requests (using our horses in the ceremony) and accommodating changes to the original plan. The various package options helped us decide on the venue to fit within our budget needs and the availability of extra items for rental use came to our rescue as well. They were flexible with meeting times and able to keep us on track for everything to run smoothly. Use of a bridal suite was also an option and was very handy for prep the day of and comfortable for relaxing after a very busy day.

I highly recommend The Old Blue Rooster and specifically the Barn. Not only is the space beautiful but the staff are so great! Lorraine was so easy to work with and helped every step of the way to ensure that our big day would go smoothly. Our favorite thing was flexibility in making it our wedding and exactly how we wanted it rather than having to only select from a list of caterers or vendors. A special touch that blew my husband and I away was that their staff took the time to write a card for us and add it to our box :) You can’t go wrong choosing this for your big day!!!

I recently got married at OBR and could not have asked for a better venue. The outside ceremony area is beautiful and perfect for a rustic feel. The inside is elegant as well. Lorraine was so helpful and walked me through the entire process. I asked her a million questions and she was always super helpful. We got so many compliments on our venue and wonderful staff members. I would recommend OBR to all of my friends.

My daughter's wedding was at the Old Blue Rooster. We worked with Lorraine and she was wonderful. They did everything possible to make it a very special day. The coordinator, Alissa, seen to it that things went smooth and we didn't have to worry about the details during the day of the wedding.
